Chapter 2: Academy Days Episode II

Giving us a curt nod master Yoda then took a seat on the floor.

My clanmates and I followed his example, and thanks to my new memories I know we did this often.

After everyone was seated Yoda placed his cane atop his crossed legs. He then closed his eyes.

All of us followed his example.

"Students, meditate today we shall. Open ourselves up to the Force, let is flow through us we will." Yoda spoke.

As he did so did exactly what I did earlier in the morning. I concentrated, and opened myself up and immersed myself in the Force.

Which took me a shorter time to do so than earlier.

I am sure it's thanks to the memories and experience I had before the memories of my previous life awakened in me. Even if I have technically become a different person at the core I am still the same, and training like that just doesn't suddenly vanish so yeah. I am in tune with the Force.

Fully immersed in the Force I paid no attention to the passage of time, or really anything else for that matter. I simply let myself and the Force get closer, strengthening my connection with it. Only stopping when master Yoda spoke up.

"Enough meditation that is younglings." He said.

The moment Yoda did so I pulled myself out of my full Force immersion and returned to the corporeal world. Opening my eyes after I did.

My clanmates following suit.

The moment all of us had our attention focused on him Yoda turned his head and looked at all of us, nodding slightly as he did.

"Good, good. Feel the Force you younglings did. Strengthened your connections to the Force I felt." Yoda spoke. "Remember, the Force is everywhere. In you, in me, in all living things. Life creates it." He said.

Making me realize he didn't pull those lines and speeches he told Luke in the films out of his ass.

But I guess training hundreds of Jedi over a period of 800 years give you lots of time to refine your teaching techniques.

When Yoda finished his little speech he had me and the others work on methods to build and refine our Thought Shields.

A lesson which I took especially seriously.

Since I have no idea if anyone can get into my head and take a peek at the memories I have awakened from my previous life. I mean I hope someone can't, but I am a bit of a pragmatist. Which is why I will constantly be working on my Thought Shields.

For if anyone ever obtained the knowledge I have from my previous life inside of my head...I shudder to think of what the effects would be.

No, actually I can already guess what some of the effects might be. I would just rather not think about them becoming reality. Ergo, Thought Shield training is my highest priority Force skill to master at the moment.

Another hour passed with my clan under the instruction of Yoda.

But eventually it ended.

After it did so my group headed to an actual classroom filled with desk and chairs. Where an instructor from the Educational Corps was waiting for us.

The moment we were all settled the instructor, a female Korun, began our daily lessons in political science as well as the history of the Jedi Order, the Republic, and many of the planets and cultures in the galaxy at large. For even if the Jedi Order wants its members to not form attachments to those within the outside world it will not let us be ignorant of it.

Focused on the lessons we were being taught my clanmates and I took notes.

Only instead of pencils and paper, we used datapad's.

This world is truly awesome.

"Alright students, when did the Great Hyperspace War begin and end?" Our instructor asked us. Since we are currently focused on history lessons.

I was going to answer her.

But before I could a female voice spoke up and beat me too it.

"It ended and began in the same year, over 5,000 years ago."

"Correct once again initiate Fonemys." Our instructor said to a girl sitting on my left.

She is my age with white hair and blue eyes.

Which I know should be impossible, but this is the Star Wars universe where hair colors like that are normal.

The girls name is Yennali Fonemys. A member of the Arkanian offshoot subspecies and one who the term 'Overachiever' fits perfectly.

From what I recall from my memories she's always trying to come in first in everything in training the clan does.

Looking at Yennali out of the corner of my eye I saw her put a small smile on her face as our instructor complimented her.

'Oh, interesting.' I thought.

Seeing Yennalis' reaction to receiving praise. She enjoys it.

Which is of course a normal reaction for a child, but for a Jedi initiate I have to say I didn't expect to see it.

Makes me think I should talk to her a bit more. Since my memories are telling me our past interactions are usually just formal.

Well, they'll be time for that later.

Right now I am going to focus on class.

"Ok students, next question. What was the name of the planet where the final battle of the Mandalorian Wars took place?" The instructor asked us.

The rest of us then waited for Yennali to answer the question. But when she did do so within a few seconds I looked at her out of the corner of my eye and saw she was silently panicking.

Telling me she didn't know this answer.

But I do.

So I'll take this one.

"Instructor, it was Malachor V." I said.

"Correct initiate Sunrider." The instructor told me. She then moved onto the next question.]

Which I quickly answered before Yennalis did.

I then continued to do so until class came to an end.

As it did so I joined up with Marcellus and we started talking as we made our way to the temple mess hall for lunch. Though as we did I noticed an intense gaze.

Looking around I soon found it was coming from Yennalis.

Who doesn't really look happy one bit.

'What the hell?' I thought.

Is she upset simply because I answered a few questions in class before her?

So petty.

The fact none of the full-fledged Jedi are or have said anything to Yennalis is amazing. Since giving in to such emotions will lead her to the 'Dark Side' of the force.

Yet, what utter shit.

Still, I know if I don't deal with Yennalis her feelings towards me will only fester. Which I don't want.

Meaning the two of us need to have a proper chat sooner than I expected.
