Chapter 123: Halthor Sector Campaign Episode I

[Lahara Sector, Mirgoshir System]

As the Milano exited hyperspace I saw two beautiful sights before me.

The first was the planet Agamar.

[Insert Image of Agamar Here]

While the second were the numerous ships in orbit near the planet.

Ships that belonged to the Galactic Systems Alliance First Fleet.

A total of 150 in all.

Every single one of them about to be used in the first ever large-scale military operation of the Galactic Systems Alliance Defense Force.

The operation itself being to secure the Halthor Sector, save the innocents living in that portion of space, and put a stop to the infighting of dear old dads lieutenants over his now defunct throne as head of the Ottethan empire.

Which is still going on despite me having killed the bastard almost two years ago.

That means this campaign into the sector is more important than ever.

Since the reports I've read concerning the status of that portion of space are not good.

But now, all that is about to change.

Accelerating the Milano closer to the small fleet of ships my sensors picked up two X-wings pulling up on either side me.

The moment they did so I opened subspace communications with the two fighters and began transmitting my clearance codes.

A moment after I did so one of the pilots spoke up.

"Oh excuse us colonel. We didn't know you would arrive here in your personal ship."

"That's fine. You're just doing your jobs. I completely understand. Keep up the good work." I said.

"Yes, thank you sir." The same pilot spoke.

The two X-wing then veered off, allowing me to continue on my flight path unimpeded.

Which took me right into the heart of the fleet.

A fleet that is made up of Arishas' Palisade-class cruisers.

(A/N: I changed the name of the ship Arisha designed from Bulwark to Palisade)

Orion-class assault carriers.

Charon-class light frigates.

As well as two other ships, whose designs I gave to the GSA.

All the ships designs I get nice monthly royalty checks for from the government. So if this whole Jedaii/military officer thing doesn't work out I think I'll have a very lucrative career as a starship designer.

But back to the main point.

The other two ships that make up the fleet are as follows.

The first is Marathon-class heavy cruisers.

While the second have been designated as flagships for the Galactic Systems Alliance Defense Forces.

Infinity-class supercarriers.

One of which I am on my way to right now.

The supercarriers' being Infinity.

For it was the first one completed off the production line.

After all, what better way is there for the GSA to make a huge impact on troop moral and the galaxy at large than to have the very first ship of the ship model that will be the flagships of their fleets take part in their maiden military operation?

None I tell you.

None.

Soon I reached the Infinity and once I did I directed the Milano through one of its many docking bays.

Once I did I was directed by flight deck crewmembers on the ground to a designated landing spot.

Where I made a perfect touchdown.

Once I did so I powered down all of the Milano's systems before disembarking from my ship.

Which upon doing so filled my gazes with multiple Galactic Systems Alliance Defense Forces personnel moving around.

As well as the vehicles stored in the hangar bay.

Which consisted of my favorite childhood starfighter, the X-wing.

As well as the Sabre fighters from the Halo series.

And also Pelicans.

'Ah, what a glorious sight.' I thought.

The ships of my childhood from my previous life, made into a reality and right before my eyes.

I burned the image into my brain.

Silently thanking the being that gave me a chance to live this second life in the Star Wars universe.

Then after I did so I began to make my way out of the flight bay and into the bowls of the ship.

For I had a meeting briefing to attend after all, and it wouldn't look good if one of the commanders of the ground forces for this operation was late.

By which mean me.

For I have been put in charge of leading the 69th attack battalion.

Nice.
