Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

Diving Into The Force

{If you want to read ahead go to my https://www.(p)-(a)-(t)-(r)-(e)-(o)-(n).com/easyread}

~~~(POV: Nathen Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Meditating, Dagobah)~~~

The world around me turns black and white, and all of time stops. I stand up and look around the devastated land. My efforts to dive into The Force are evident even now. But what catches my eye is a flowing river of white energy.

It's traveling through the trees. I turn around and see my meditating form. That's the most vulnerable I'll ever be. But even then, The Force will lash out to protect me. It's done it in the past.

The white flowing river retakes my attention, and I leap into the air. Jumping into it, and as I do. Time starts to move again. Not in the sense of forward and backward. The best description I can come up with is sideways.

Moving through this river is like moving sideways through time. Eventually, I'm spat out against my will before a cave. As I take a step, the world is no longer black and white. It regains its color, and time starts moving again.

There is a person in front of the cave. I don't know who it is. Once I reach the person, my hand comes up, and I try to grab the person's shoulder. But I go through them like a hand through a holo recorder.

"What is this place..."

The person speaks as I pull my hand out from inside them. The voice is male. I walk in front of the man, and I get a look at his face. It's not someone I've ever met before.

Why is The Force showing me this? What's the purpose of all this? This has nothing to do with Abeloth, which is why I'm here.

The man takes a holo communicator off his belt, and a familiar image appears.

"Izack. I found a place where we could take the survivors. It's a cave, but I get a bad feeling from it. I think we should keep looking."

Izack? A crewman from The Dawnrider. They were all supposed to have died on that ship. I've seen their bodies...

Wait... Sideways through time... Is that a way to another timeline...

"What the hell is going on..."

The world goes black and white again as the words leave my mouth. And everything fades away except for the cave. It's white nothingness and a cave on Dagobah.

There is only one place for me to go at this point. I walk into the cave and begin navigating it. The deeper I go, the less I feel like I'm making any ground. I look over my shoulder, and that's when I see the entrance right behind me.

"This isn't a fun game to play..."

I can already tell this is going to be annoying.

~~~(POV: Nella Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: The Opal Ship, Above Dagobah)~~~

It's been three days already, and I'm getting worried. Nate doesn't explain what happens when he meditates. He's only told me he doesn't like it. I can see why. Even for me, time flows differently when I connect with The Force.

It slows just a bit, and I can fully relax. But for someone like Nate, I can only guess what he goes through. Being that connected to The Force comes with several differences that ordinary Force-Users go through.

The good thing is the holonet is entertaining. Even all the way out here, we're getting a signal. I've scrambled the signal going out so no one can find this place.

The last thing I want is for some of Nate's enemies to show up. I'm not a master of The Force, and I don't know if they can sense when he's vulnerable or not. All I can do is assume and prepare for the worst.

"I wonder how mom's doing..."

I know she has a hard time when Nate and I are away. I don't want to say it and sound happy, but I think she's regretting letting me go with Nate in the first place. It's a good kind of happiness.

You know it when you feel it.

~~~(POV: Satele Shan)~~~
~~~(Location: Coruscant, Senate Building)~~~

Marisa is on her way back to Alderaan, which means it's time I get back to the war. There are still many things left to do, and this sidetrack on Coruscant has kept me long enough.

There is one person I want to speak with before I leave, though.

My son, Theron.

He can't run from me forever.
