Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

An Artifact Of House Opal

{If you want to read ahead go to my https://www.(p)-(a)-(t)-(r)-(e)-(o)-(n).com/easyread}

~~~(POV: Nella Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Cargo Bay, Dawnrider, Dagobah)~~~

The security box holding the artifact belonging to my house lies in front of me. In a swift motion with my lightsaber, it's cut open, and I look down. There, sitting in its calmness, is the Holocron of Jedi Master Lexxi Opal.

I reach out for the Holocron, and it gently lights up as I do. It's light as a feather and hums a soft tune as I hold it. This belonged to my ancestor. She left it in our possession.

Until it was taken in The Mandalorian Wars, it once rested in the hands of her father, the only person she knew she could trust. When Alderaan was attacked, many of the smaller noble houses were destroyed.

House Opal was nearly ruined too. But as I know, that's not something that happened, given our current status. We're the mightiest house of Alderaan now, and that's thanks to my mother.

I can't forget to give my grandpa Jora credit too. Our house would still be puny if not for him and his father. After a few minutes of just staring at the Holocron, I leave the container and walk back through the path I carved to get here.

Beep!

"Nella, I want you to come to the bridge. There is something I want you to see."

The holo communicator on my belt goes off, which is my signal to move on. Nate must've found something important. I'll be glad to show him I'm holding the same thing. Dawnrider is full of artifacts. And I know they're worth a lot of Credits.

~~~(POV: Nathen Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Command Bridge, Dawnrider, Dagobah)~~~

It takes a few minutes, but Nella eventually enters the command bridge. A peculiar object in her hands makes itself known as I look at her. One that I know shouldn't be on this ship. She sees me looking at it, and a large smile appears on her lips.

"I see you're impressed with what I've found. It belonged to Lexxi Opal, a Jedi Master that existed long ago in our family. The Holocron was stolen during The Mandalorian Wars and was considered lost at this point."

Looks like she knows what she's holding too. While I didn't know it belonged to Lexxi Opal, I do know it's a Holocron.

She tosses it to me, and I hold it. There is a buzzing warmth to it. I don't know anything about Lexxi Opal, but if she was a Jedi Master and had a personal Holocron. She was very powerful and influential.

After a few seconds of inspecting it, I come to a conclusion. I toss it back to Nella, and she looks at me, confused.

"You found it, Nella. That means it's yours. Besides, I'm not an Opal by blood. If anyone should have that Holocron, it's you."

I don't know why, but for some reason. This means a lot to her. She rushes over and wraps me in a hug. My cousin rarely shows such affection, which means I did something right. But it's not like I can say anything.

I don't show signs of affection that often, either.

"How do I open it?"

That's not for me to share. Holocrons open for different reasons and different people. Some can't be opened without these people or reasons.

"That's for you to find out, Nella. It's your Holocron, your responsibility."

She looks excited at the challenge.

"Oh, just so you know. The artifacts in the Cargo Bay are worth billions of credits. It'd be wise if we took them with us and sold them. House Opal will be stronger than ever with that huge influx of Credits."

Seems she's come to know about the worth of what's on The Dawnrider too. While I like the sound of saying I have billions of Credits to my name, that doesn't mean I should have it.

These artifacts have been here for hundreds of years. Dawnrider and its dead crew are buried under the swamps and forests of Dagobah.

"I'll tell you what if you move all the cargo onto our ship yourself. You can sell them. It'll be good practice for you."

In the end, I don't actually need the money. But if Nella wants it, she'll have to earn it. A low groan leaves her lips. I'm guessing what's in the Cargo Bay isn't light by any means necessary.
