Moving In

"Hmmm?" Stacey's mother, Helen, looked at the two people walking over to her in confusion. "Stacey!?"

"Mom…." Stacey rubbed her tired eyes and smiled softly. "I finally get to see you."

"What do you mean finally get to see me? Silly girl, I know I work a lot, but I do try to make time…." Helen's voice trailed off as she looked at Jasmine, who was wearing a face mask. "Stacey, who is this young man?"

"I'm a girl…." Jasmine's expression turned gloomy. She was a girl through and through!

"Ah…. I am sorry. I thought…. Now that I am getting a closer look, you are more than just a girl. You are a beauty." Helen smiled as she patted the top of Stacey's head. "Let's go in. It's chilly."

Jasmine had planned to go back upstairs and get more sleep, but since she was invited in, she decided not to seem distant. When she entered the house, she found it to be just as simple as her own. The size of the apartment was also the same size. The layout and everything about it was no different either. Jasmine had figured they would have changed the layout a tiny bit, but they did not.

"So, how did you two meet?" Helen asked as she had the two girls sit at the kitchen table. She figured since Stacey brought a friend here, she would at least serve some tea.

"It's like this." Jasmine went ahead and explained things since Stacey was leaning against her shoulder, dozing off again. She made sure to explain everything from start to finish from what Stacey had told her.

Helen's expression changed over and over until, finally, she let out a long sigh. "I have to thank you. If Stacey had not run into you, then something bad might have happened to her."

"It's fine. I planned to walk her to and from school from now on. Her work is on the way to my own, and when she gets off, she can just hang out with me after. On her days off, she can hang out at my house since my grandparents are there. I figured it would be better than letting her sit home alone." Jasmine explained.

"Actually…." Helen looked at her daughter, who was now sound asleep, and showed a bit of hesitation before turning toward Jasmine and asking: "I know this is sudden, but can I ask if you can let her stay with you for a month? I will pay for her food expenses, but I just got an offer to work overnights for a short time. The money is much better, and if I can make it official, I can finally leave my other two jobs."

Jasmine nodded her head. "That's fine. Stacey and I get along well, so it will not be a problem. Plus my grandmother likes her a lot. As for food expenses, don't worry about it. Save the money and buy Stacey something with it. She seems…. To miss you a lot. Maybe take her out to eat or something when you finally settle things."

Helen began to tear up. She had never met such a kind person before! Her daughter had truly met a good friend. "Alright…" She did not have much money, but It would be true that if she saved some money by spending less on food, she could actually take her daughter out someplace nice. She wondered when it was when she had last taken Stacey out for dinner or even to a movie.

"Then it is settled. I will help Stacey bring some clothes up to my place tomorrow. Also, my apartment number is 567. So if you need anything, just knock." Jasmine said a few more words to Helen before helping the half-dead Stacey into bed. Only then did she go home and get some sleep herself.

Early the next morning, when Jasmine woke up, she was startled to see two big round eyes staring back at her! "Stacey!?"

"Hehe!" Stacey giggled as she sat up. "You looked so peaceful when you were sleeping. I just couldn't help but stare at your beautiful face."

"That is no reason to scare me to death!" Jasmine complained as she held her head. She had a slight headache from not sleeping enough. "Did your mother tell you that you will be staying with me for a while?"

"Yes!" Stacey nodded her head in excitement. "She also told me that if she can get the overnight shift, she will be able to finally quit her other jobs! I have been telling her to drop them for a while now since I was working, but she refused to take my money!" Stacey complained. She only got the job to help her mother shoulder some of the burden but her mother would not let her!

"Alright. Well, you can either share the bed with me or sleep on a futon. It is up to you." Jasmine yawned as she stretched. Her black bra came into full view as the blankets fell off her body.

Stacey looked at Jasmine's slender figure and felt like Jasmine should really dress more like a girl. She had such a model figure. She had long legs and a slender build, which was what most girls would love to have, but this girl was hiding it. And when she showed her entire face, she looked beautiful!

"Jasmine, why do you always wear a mask?" Stacey asked. It really made her curious.

"Because I have sinus issues. It helps keep them moist so they do not get clogged up."
