Wide and Strong Shoulders

If one tries to run away from it, reality hurts very much, just like gravity, the further you go the more painful your end will be. Well anyways, William had always tried to do so but-- you probably know what happened after reading the first line.

He did not like these times when he and his fellow had to do all the dirty work for those in the upper ranks. He was just a captain in the military of the special division SOE (special operations executive). He did not know who was right or who was wrong but he had to murder people, knowing they had family and kids. His heart cried many times but--

Now he was lying with his limbs blasted and body filled with holes from bullets. He felt like laughing but also not, felt like crying but not. He wanted to live and die at the same time. Many moments of life flashed in front of his eyes, happy, sad, regretful, etc.

"So, what is right and what is wrong in the end?" William said in a low voice looking at the sky filled with smoke and dust. He had a smile on his face but tears in his eyes.

"I think I am losing my senses." He murmured, "Not like I was unaware of it. I wonder if those I killed are waiting for me? But, did they go to the heavens or are they also in hell where I am probably going?"

"William--"

"William where are you?"

Suddenly he heard faint voices of the rest of his team. Luckily they survived the blast and only he was dying. In his team he never let anyone kill or assassinate, he did all of it not wanting to let them feel the guilt and regret he felt but people did not know of his feelings and gave him the nickname of blood devil.

William looked in the direction of the voice and sighed, "Looks like those idiots are here huh- what's the point in coming here I just wish for everything to end!"

"Let's go and make amends for the mistakes I made in hell," he said finally losing the sense of his body and other functions and dying.

Unknown where and when. A smoky formless ball of light appeared after a few minutes William died on earth. This place was indescribable, if one believes it's red then the entire place is red. If one believes that this is a jungle then it's a jungle.

"So this is what it feels like after dying! It's pretty cold and warm at the same time feels like I am naked but wearing something. curious." the smoky formless ball of light said but not (strange).

"Yes curious indeed, curious that a mortal soul can enter the core of existence without achieving divinity." while the smoky was admiring everything around him what he believed was a mountain range a deep and mighty voice shuddered him.

"Who-" smoky or William yelled trying to sense his surroundings. This is the new ability he got from this smoky form.

"Brat what kind are you? Never saw a creature like you before? don't tell me that you live in a different universe." William felt the voice strangely closed to him but was unaware of where it was coming from.

He sensed creating an area or a sphere of nearly a hundred meters with him being the centre of it but did not find anything.

"Don't try you can't find me without divinity anyway. You are floating right above my right horn." the voice said again.

"Sir, who are you and where are these mountains?" William asked regaining his calm.

There was silence for like twenty years with no one speaking when suddenly the voice thundered (normal speaking for the owner of the voice) again, "I am Star Dragon God, Xyren Stargod, owner of thirteen universes in existence. This place is my home core of existence."

The voice said calmly (literally louder than a sonic boom) introducing. William heard him and was shocked but also not believing his ears. God? Universes? Dragon? Existence? What the Frack?

"I was waiting here for someone but I guess--? sigh-! I guess I'll make do with what I have got." while he was wondering about everything he heard Star Dragon God said, "Brat I don't know that kind of creature you are but I guess this is your lucky time rejoice."

William only heard him when suddenly a starry scale-like object merged into his smoky form and he started to disappear.

"Sir, wait-- I -- ha--"

Before he could say anything he was gone like he was not there, to begin with. Everything fell into silence again.

"Where did I send him again? Oh well, when he comes back here I'll ask him!"

...

"Sir, wait I have something to ask." William yelled, "I want to know what is happening-- did I just got teleported? Who are these people pointing sticks at each other? Are they cosplayers or am I on a movie set?"

He looked at three people in front one male and a female pointing at a strange-looking bald douchebag with their sticks and shooting lights and that douchebag was the same, repeating their actions but before doing that they were uttering some gibberish.

"Hey, hey you three look here can you hear me? Damn, this looks so real what kind of technology are they using? They baldy look here. Bastards look here your father is hungry and can't move. This--"

William was yelling when suddenly realised that every time he opened his mouth baby-like cries came out. he could feel his body but much like before he was dying he felt his senses were very poor. But different from before when he was losing his senses, he felt them improving.

"I- I did- did I got reincarnated or something? No way seriously? After all those embarrassing words I said before I died-- Yuck-- I feel disgusted at myself so shameful." William cried (said) again.

"Lily you go, go and help Harry and Tyson out of here I'll block him." suddenly the man in black hair yelled at the woman. He was doing his laser thing push game (they do in the arcade, more you press button thing).

"James but we can't defeat him at all." Lily cried.

"Go I said go, go right now and protect our sons. Make sure they live even if you and I had died." James roared, "Protego Diabolica!!" (William: um fancy name! cool I like it.)

"Avada Kedavra!!" Baldy also uttered shooting a green laser at the flames summoned by James, reflecting them all over the house. (William: This-- dude that's clearly Abracadabra rip-off! copyrights please)

Soon, flames spread all over the house out of control. Terrified Lily hurried to William, still shocked looking at this super realistic movie. Even his grandma's stories of gods were not this amazing.

"Fools!" Bald suddenly smirked looking at Lily abandoning James and shooting his green laser at her that pierced her abdomen.

"Lily*!" James cried seeing her die with a huge hole in her belly. "You monster you'll pay for that."

"With just you? Give me death! Avada Kadavra!"

Before James could do anything his glabella was pierced by the green laser killing him instantly. Lily watched him die before her and wailed. "Please let my sons live. Kill me but please."

She bagged hugging Harry and Tyson.

"Dude, this- doesn't seem real at all! I think that this shit is totally real!" William suddenly felt that this was not a movie set. He watched everything and it's way too realistic. He had killed hundreds if not thousands so he knew.

"I don't leave traces behind you can meet them and stay with each other forever in the afterlife." Baldy suddenly pulled the same move killing Lily and shot his laser again at Harry, the child beside William when suddenly that laser hit Harry's forehead and bounced back piercing Baldy's chest near his heart.

"Argh-- you- you who are you? Argh-" Baldy cried pointing at William. For some reason, his face was horrified.

William looked at him pointing, "Bastard what are you asking? I don't even know myself. You killed my parents in this new life and now you want to kill me and this brother of mine before our life even begins and you point me?" he roared (cried more loudly).

"Wait for me I'll return, I will definitely return and kill you and possess that bastard," Bald said disappearing in smoke.

"Ergh- what the hell is going on?" William also cried. He just wanted to die but what are these strange things happening? He become a soul, met self-proclaimed god-dragon-star what not, and now this--?

Suddenly, the house fell over them after burning, "Mommy I- dammit who told them to use wood in the house? now look." house fell.

People outside looked at the house burning and falling were horrified and called the police and fire stations. They knew that a couple lived here who had one-year-old twins.

"Oh my god hurry call, call the fire brigade hurry. My god what happened."

Chaos occurred outside with people coming over and sirens of police cars, ambulances and fire trucks soon arriving at the scene.

Tonight marked the day of the start of the story and life of a legend who will rule the existence entirely with no one beyond. A story of a funny yet serious boy who will do anything to face his fears and not regret what he did before and protect all those who are behind him with their hopes on his shoulder.

A boy who wishes to have shoulders wide and strong enough to be able to shoulder any responsibility.
