Quiet Times- 26

Sebs eyes widened a bit as Maria looked at him with her curious blue eyes. He thought a bit as his tail flicked back and forth.

"Well... he is a resident here, I'm pretty close with." He didn't give much of a explanation but it was good enough for Maria, the woman nodded and smiled at the male.

"He looked young." She said noting thinking the youngster was younger than Will and herself who was 19.

Seb snorted and looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"He's 21 years old, I'm 23 so he isn't very young young." Seb said chuckling as the rain outside thundered and rumbled along with the wind.

"Are you serious he seemed very..." She paused as she thought.

"Immature?" Seb said as he gave his opinion, Maria just giggled slightly.

"Um yeah, in a way." She said nodding as she looked at the Tiger male who took the meat off the fire and started to eat.

"Haha, yeah he's been like that since I've meet him. He's a annoying little guy but, he's a good person." Seb said munching on his food as Maria sat down in front of the fire, there was a long silence as Maria rubbed her arm while looking into the deep flames.

Seb was a attractive man she had to admit to herself, but he wasn't very good at keeping a conversation going very long.

She looked back up at Seb who was chewing on his food as his black ears perked forward as she looked at him.

"By the way, why is it that your up so late. Surely you aren't really just wanting me to keep ya company?" He said in a joking tone as his tail flicked slightly, she just smiled and shrugged as she looked at the taller man.

"I had a bad dream, didn't want to wake Will so." Maria said as she messed with the golden bracelet and looked back to Seb who was sitting across the fire, he paused eating for a bit before thinking.

"Would you like to talk about it?" His smooth and clear voice asked as he looked at her, he didn't feel any draw from the female. Or anything romantic yet he was curious about her on his own accord, she had a weird way of speaking a accent he had never really heard before.

"It's something that happened a while back I prefer to keep it to myself." Maria said as she adverted her blue eyes away from his honey brown orbs. Seb just nodded and smiled as he took another bite of his food.

"Fair enough, everyone has their secrets. I have my own." Seb said shrugging as he chuckled, before winking at the female.

Maria rolled her eyes and smiled back.

"Quite the teaser, you are Seb." Her gentle tone said as she looked at him he just shrugged and smirked at her.

"Makes things more interesting, doesn't it Love?" Seb said as he finished his food Maria chuckled slightly and came up with a retort.

"It would if you remember my name."

Seb's eyes widened a bit before he started laughing softly, and leaned back onto his hands.

"Hey come on! I know it starts with a 'M' at least. Be lucky I haven't called you something completely off the wall yet." He said snickering as his tail flicked feeding off his amusement.

"You called me Marvin, last time I checked that was a mans name." She said as she laughed covering her mouth slightly as Seb had a exasperated sigh.

"I'll tell you what Mildred, tell me your name I'll promise I'll remember it next time." Seb said chuckling as he sat up and poked the fire with a stick, his longish dark hair moved along with his movements.

Maria smiled and thought for a minute before joking with the male.

"It's Penny."

"No the hell it's not, I know it starts with a 'M'." Seb said as he laughed and looked over at her, her icy blue eyes were looking at him in amusement as she chuckled.

"Fine, fine it's Maria." Maria said as she looked at him, it was weird introducing yourself to a man you had already told your name 3 times.

He thought for a moment and nodded, repeating it a couple times.

"Well 'Maria' what tribe are you from?" He said as he looked her up and down. Her heart however skipped as she was silent for a while, her mind raced as she was trying to come up with something.

"...I actually don't remember." She said softly as she looked away, Seb looked at her with a suspicious looked though it only lasted a second.

"I see... so did Walter find you, just out and about one day?"

"....Will... and no I was found by Roy, that lion you fended off of me." She said softly as she looked back at him trying to put on her best act.

Seb's face went slightly serious but then turned back to a laid back expression, his tail flicked as he looked at his hands.

"I see, quite unfortunate huh?" Seb said as he sighed as he looked back up at her, his lips a solemn smirk.

"Anyway, we will probably stay here until this storm moves out." The male said yawning as he laid on his side propped up onto his elbow, looking into the yellow and orange flames that lapped up into the air.

Maria just nodded quietly as she brought her knees to her chest.

"Seb, what if Roy comes back?" Her question seemed to take him by surprise but he thought carefully before answering.

"... I warned him already, if he comes back I will see too it he won't be harming anyone ever again." Seb said as he had a serious expression as he looked at Maria his ears slightly pinned back as he stayed quiet.

Maria watched him and casted her gaze down thinking about the Lion male, her lips pursed as she thought.

"He... When he first found me, he didn't act like that..." She said softly as her icy blue eyes wavered slightly.

Seb looked at her and let out a heavy sigh.

"Unfortunately, I don't know much about lions other than the males are hostile when it comes to what they claim as their females." Seb said nonchalantly as his ears perked at the woman.

"He started changing when you and Willy created the spouse bond yeah?" He said as he looked into her grey eyes, Maria nodded and rubbed her arm.

"That's probably what done it, William is more of a... How to put this..." Seb paused rubbing his chin with his free hand, his knuckles were slightly scarred which perked up Maria's curiosity even more.

"Submissive... No....hmmmmmm ah, wary guy. It probably hurt his pride that you accepted him and didn't really cast him a glance." He explained as he thought, but he shrugged.

"No disrespect to Wilson just, a observation. Though it seems he cares alot about you." Seb said as he chuckled Maria sighed and looked at him wondering if to correct him on Wills name or not.

"That makes sense, I just wish things didn't turn out with blood." She said sighing lowly as she stretched out her arms, the sound of rain pattered outside the tree as the rain got heavier.

"Eh, it happens can't be helped." Seb grunted as he ran his free hand through his dark locks.

Maria looked at him a little solemnly and pursed her lips as silence ensued.

The next morning Maria woke up and Will was gone Seb was sleeping by the hole as the rain was still continuing to pour.

Seb was in his tiger form, the dark fur and tiny bits of orange flinched slightly as he was having some sort of dream.

Maria just rubbed her eyes as she walked into the main room a pelt wrapped around her shoulders as she looked around. The fire pit was just hot coals as the fire had went out and Maria's stomach growled softly.

She thought for a moment and went to the bag her and Will had and checked for any left over meat which there was but it wasn't cooked.

The sleepy woman sighed as she grabbed the leaf and went to the fire pit. She looked at it solemnly as she thought on how to light it, she had watched the men do it before but her herself wasn't really sure on how to go about it as she put wood in the pit.

She paused as she looked at it thinking, Maria looked over to where Seb had been only to find a empty spot, confused she looked around.

"Where did he-" Maria paused as something big and fluffy rubbed up against her back she jumped and looked behind her as the big cat sat there as almost looking like he was smirking.

"Oh geez! you scared me." Maria said in almost a scolding tone as something like a low purr rumbled from the tiger. Seb shifted and smiled as he yawned, Maria noticed that his canines we're still slightly larger than his other teeth even in his human form.

"Sorry, sorry..." Seb said rubbing his eyes chuckling as he took the wood out of her hands and put it in the fire pit.

"You should have woke me." He said as he took out what looked to be flint and started skillfully lighting the fire.

"I couldn't you looked too peaceful." She said as she watching him intently.

Seb laughed and arched a eyebrow, as his tail flicked in amusement.

"So... you just planned to starve?"

He said as the fire lit and he blew on it to get it started better.

"H-Hey I would have figured it out eventually." Maria said pouting as she took the meat out of the leaf.

"Sure you would have..." Seb said as he stood up dusting his hands on his makeshift pants.

"I can teach you to set a fire sometime if you would like." The male said as he expected her to decline but she looked up at him with a sparkle in her eye.

"Oh! That would be amazing, then I would be able to eat whenever i want!" Maria said as she happily shifted in place as she put the meat over the fire.

Seb's eyes widened slightly but he chuckled and shrugged to himself before going to the opening of the hole in the tree, he looked out over the forest.

"Where is Will at?" Maria peeped up, Seb ran his hands over the wood of the wall as he looked out.

"He didnt say he said he'd be back in a bit." Seb said as the rain poured silently, Maria had a slightly worried face but thought.

"Are you hungry?"

"Not particularly." Seb said as he looked out of the hole in deep thought, smelling the smells that came with the wind of rain.

It had troubled him on what the female had said last night, his thoughts rested on the lion.

He knew he was a dangerous individual, but Seb was confident in his own skills. Sure Roy was bigger than him in the terms of muscle, but Seb had him bet in weight and raw agression.

Seb sighed as he looked down the trunk of the tree seeing Will in his bear form climbing up unskillfully with a bag in his jaws.

Once will finally managed to get in Maria was already chewing on her breakfast. Her face lit up seeing the brown bear as he shook out his pelt slinging water everywhere.

"Will! Your back." Maria called as Seb got water slung onto him which made him send Will a look of irritation.

"Thank you so much for the water, bear." Seb said in a sarcastic tone, he actually enjoyed water but found it irritateing that it was slung onto him.

The bears ears perked up at the woman as he went over still soaked as he nudged Maria and dropped the bag.
