Gifted Terror- 27

Will shifted and ran a hand through his soaked brown hair as he sat on the floor.

Maria looked at him curiously as Will smiled at her gently before opening the bag, Seb looked curiously from behind him as Well pulled out a animal pelt dress.

It was a unique pattern Maria hadn't ever seen before, it also had a few feathers lining the bottom of the fitted skirt. Will handed it took her happily as Maria took it and smile.

"For me? Will it's so pretty!" Maria said as she felt the dress it was softer than she had expected and it looked like it would fit her well.

"I-I got a few others as well. Since you hate wearing the same thing all the time." Will said as he took the others out and placed them in front of the woman.

"Some female Ravens were selling these." Will said softly as he pulled a dead bird out of the bag and threw it to Seb.

"T-That's for you." Will said as Seb caught it and dramatically gasped.

"Oh! Willy, it's what I always wanted!" Seb said as he twirled in place, causing Maria to chuckle.

"I mean cook it." Will said sighing as he shook his head the rain outside still pouring.

"Aww, fine fine." Seb said with a laugh as he went to start the fire pit.

"Will, thank you so much. Their so pretty!" Maria said as she ran her slim fingers over the feathers, In awe of the dresses there was only four of them but she knew she would enjoy them.

Will smiled and rubbed the back of his neck as his cheeks flushed.

"Y-You dont have to thank me, but I'd buy you all the dresses if you so wish it." He stuttered as he sat Maria smiled at him and gave a happy chuckle.

"Well, that's going a little over board but I absolutely love these. I'm going to go slip one on!" She chirped as she happily grabbed one and went into the back room.

Seb had already set the fire and started plucking the feathers from the bird as Will continued to sit on the floor silently.

In the room Maria thought about her previous life, she couldn't believe that her 'real' body had died it was heart breaking for her. She unconsciously grazed her fingers to her neck remembering the burning sting of a blade.

She knew she didn't have anyone in the real world that would miss her other than her boss. Missing that she didn't come into work anymore that is.

She slipped her clothes off and ran her fingers through her hair as she thought, maybe just maybe this was better? Even though there was no phones at least she had people who actually cared for her well being.

Ofcourse Seb was a bit... Strange but he was a good guy, Maria's heart ached as she thought about Will getting injured from Roy.

This world was cool, but it scared her at times. She sighed as she picked up one of the dresses and slipped it on. It was tight on her body showing off the curves of her hips, she didn't have much of a chest but she had to admit the dress did her good.

It was as soft as silk yet still a pelt? She wasnt to sure herself, but it went down half way of her thigh.

Maria wished she had a mirror to see how the odd colored yet remarkably beautiful dress looked on her but she would have to settle with the comment from Will.

Or maybe even Seb, he seemed like the type to be blunt and not hold back on his thoughts.

Maria smiled softly as she put up the other dresses neatly before walking out of the room.

Will heard her foot steps and looked up from where he was, he had moved over to the fire as she was in the room.

Will paused as he started at her his face flushed slightly as, Seb looked up curiously as he took the meat off the fire.

"Oh, that fits you nice. Ma...hmmm, Maria. Brings out the good qualities you have, William did good picking out the dress." Seb said as he gave a complimenting smile. Maria's face lit up happily seeing the reaction from Will and Seb.

Will seemed to be stuttering around in his brain which Maria guessed was a good thing, then Seb was bold with his words as usual.

"Thank you, I really like how it looks and feels. What kind of beast did this come from?" She said as she smoothed out some of the ruffled up fabric before sitting down beside Will, Will was still flustered as he coughed and put his hand over her mouth as he leaned his elbow into his leg.

"I-It was a-a Waterwilled beast... T-the pelt Is w-water proof since the beast lives in swamps." Will said as he slightly adverted his eyes from the woman, Maria had her mouth in a 'o' shape as Seb cut up the meat not really bothered with what was going on.

"uh-ummm, The dress is v-very pretty on you." Will said in a quiet voice as he looked away, Maria turner her head over to him as she beamed in happiness.

Will seemed to be getting more comfortable around her and it made her happy to see, his shyness was endearing but she enjoyed hearing him compliment her.

"Thank you, Will."

The days of rain went on, until it stopped. We stayed in the giant redwood for a few more days as Will was worried about muck foot since the ground was wet.

Once it was dry they took their leave, they had been on the road a couple hours... well not road more of slightly less dense trees.

Maria was walking hand in hand with Will as he held their baggage and Seb lead the way. The woman was amused everytime there was a sound in the underbrush Seb's ears flicked in the direction.

The man was tall and intimidating but Maria trusted him more and more the more she watched and spent time with the male.

Will felt that Seb was a good guy, even though he could be a little annoying and forgetful at times.

Maria sighed as she kept her fingers interlaced with Will's, as she wished for shoes.

Her feet were not used to walking barefoot and it was taking a toll on her heels. She didn't want calluses but she figured in this world it may be best to leave behind her dainty and soft feet as her feet would eventually toughen up as she walked.

The walk was silent until Seb started talking about some type of city and Will also discussed as he squeezed the woman's hand softly.

"Apparently the wolves in the Middle city aren't too happy about the kings food rationing." Seb said as his tail flicked softly the black fur was interesting to her as it had very little orange in it.

Maria listened as she was a bit confused about what exactly they were discussing.

"I heard about that from some travelers that came by the northern bear tribe... Honestly I wouldn't be too happy about it either, it's unfair that the herbivores are getting more of a ration than the carnivores." Will said softly as his dark eyes flickered in thought, Maria looked at will as she studied his face his short brown hair was all over as his ears perked forward listening to the Tiger male in front of him.

"Yeah, well there's different ways of seeing it. In the winter it's harder for herbivores to find food so I suppose that's why." Seb sighed and shrugged but Will's eyebrows slightly furrowed.

"It's hard for us carnivores to, I just don't see how the king can't supply the carnivores and herbivores equally. It's rather idiotic." Will said in distaste as Seb gave a small chuckle.

"Well, I'll have to agree on that. What are your thoughts on it Maria?" Seb said looking over his shoulder at the woman as she perked up slightly taken aback about his questioning.

"Umm... wel-" That was the moment a giant boar looking porcupine beast came out of the bushes charging at Seb, who's eyes widened as he jumped into the air.

Maria's eyes widened in horror at the creature as she took a step back wanting to immediately run away, Will was slightly taken by surprise but he growled lowly as Seb landed after the beast ran through air trying to get him before running into a tree head first.

Seb turned around and shared a nod with Will as if they were talking in their own minds, as the beast screeched as it shook it's head, the large white tusks caught Maria's attention as she decided she didn't want to be there and wanted to hide.

The beast snorted as it's eyes locked onto Will and Maria, it kicked up dust as it started to charge again.

"Um! Will!" Maria called as she panicked only to be picked up by the muscular bear male and thrown to Seb.

Maria's icy blue eyes widened as she was to frightened to scream as she was hurrled through the air.

Seb caught her with a grunt as she looked up at him stunned, he held her to his chest as Will shifted into bear form and a rumbling growl hit as he lunged back at the beast who swung it's spiked tail at him making him dodge.

Seb immediately went to the nearest tree and sunk his nails into it as he lifted Maria onto the lowest branch.

Her eyes widened with worry as he grasped her hand his fingers were long and tender as he squeezed her hand.

"Hey, don't worry we got this." Seb said giving a wink, but she could tell he was nervous. Maria had no clue what type of beast that was but if it made Seb nervous it was serious and that scared her.

"S-Seb..." Maria called as he let go of her hand and let himself jump onto the ground, he didn't say anything just shifted to his tiger form and ran to help the bear who was fighting tooth and claw against the beast trying to dodge the tusks and tail.

Surely the two of them could win this, right? Maria was worried as her pale blue gaze watched as Seb lept onto the back of the beast as it was attacking Will.

Maria gasped and covered her ears as it let out a squeal and ran rampant as Seb sunk his teeth into it's shoulder and claws to keep onto the beast.

Will ran after them as he growled and barreled into the side of the creature knocking it over, it grunted and squealed.

Seb had a deep growl as he used his body weight to keep the beast down as he brought one of his large front paws to it's head shoving it into the dirt as Will used the opportunity to take care of it.

Will bit into it as it let out a gurgling squeal and thrashed around before laying still on the ground.

Maria had covered her ears as the beast was ear piercingly loud and sharp.

Seb slowly got off the beast as the tiger licked his lips and flicked his tail. Will shifted and immediately ran over to Maria, he didn't look like he had any injuries at all. Besides a few scruffs up.

Maria's hands shook as she lept down into the males arms when he motioned that he'd catch her.

His face was slightly bloody but Maria still clung to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck as he held her. Will could tell she was scared, and had been fearful of what had happened as he wrapped his arms around her.

"It's over now, Maria we won't let anything bad happen to you I promise." He said softly into her ear as Seb had shifted and stretched his back cracking it slightly.

The tiger male had a softer expression towards the female, as he looked over at the two but he stayed silent as Will comforted her.

"W-what was that thing?!" Maria said as she moved her face so she could look at her spouse better.

"It was a Spine Spike, i-its okay now it's dead." Will said as he carried Maria over to where he had dropped the bag, feeling a little flustered over their closeness.

Maria still trembled slightly probably due to the anxiety and adrenaline they just went through, but she was safe and that was all that mattered to Will.

Seb sighed and looked at the dead beast as he clicked his tongue.

"Their known to be agressive, they have no good qualities you can't even eat the things. Their meat is tough and leaves a bad taste in your mouth." Seb informed as he used his arm to wipe the blood from his face.

A disgusted look on his face as he spat spit onto the ground.

"We should probably get going, I would like to find a stream." Seb said passing the two as they started off, Will put Maria down per her request as she walked.
