Chapter 4: Homecoming.

Peter returned to Queens, New York, after he helped Raiden banish Shao Khan's daughter, Mileena to The Nertherrealm. For his ambitious actions Raiden made him the 3rd protector of Earthrealm. His secret was only known only by The Avengers, The Protectors of Earthrealm, the governing body of the Outworld and a few of Peter's friends. He was now in sophmore year. Lietenant Barnes was treated in Wakanda, the Sokovia accords were abolished. The Avengers were now once again united.

One of Peter's classmates and decathlon partners, Liz Toomes had organised a party at her house and invited all of the decathlon team, Including Peter, Ned and MJ. MJ was hesitant at first but agreed to come, only because they were going.

The day of the Party (after school)

"Aunt May!" Peter said, rushing into the house. He was exited for the party. "I'm going to a party"

"Oh goodness! Tell me MJ will be there!" Aunt May said exitingly, sitting on a couch drinking some tea.

"May!" Peter looked slightly embaraced.

"Oh don't be like this, I know you like her and you also know you like her. If you will not ask her out, you will have serious problems young man!" Aunt May said using a dramatic voice.

Peter scoffed. He still hadn't told her about his relationship with MJ.

Right before the party

Peter was in his room rummaging throught clothes. He picked out denim jeans, a black collar t-shirt and a grey sweater. He looked modest, but elegant. After what felt like eternity but was twenty minutes, he arrived at Liz's house. He met Ned but there was no sign of MJ until half an hour later. They spent the night drinking, dancing, having fun. Flash took the role of DJ and half the party was going live on Instagram. Peter was talking with Ned when he looked away to see a somewhat famillar person outside.

"Uhh... Ned I don't feel good, I'll go breathe some fresh air." Peter lied. He went out to see General Sonya Blade waiting near a car.

"Didn't I tell you Spider-Man took the day off, General?" Peter asked.

"Relax little wizard, I came her just to give you this mission." Sonya said, handing a file to him.

"A missing shipment of chitauri technology. Whoever did this were way more prepared than needed. The wings are alluminum alloy, maybe carbon fiber. I'll look into it tommorrow." Peter said.

"We have no leads to the heads of the operation but we do have a list of some potential associates. Might as well pay them a visit. Goodbye Peter." Sonya said.

"Goodbye General Blade." Peter said. He went back to the house, but before he could open the door a strange van passed through. His soul reading abilities and spidey-sense went off. He decided to investigate and put a GPS tracker on the back of the van. After some time of following them through the city in his spider-suit, he got a message from Ned in the group which also consisted of MJ.

Peter's POV

Ned: Dude where u at???

Peter: I'm sorry I left without warning you, some stuff is going down, I must investigate.

MJ: Whatever, Loser. Be back soon Ok? Flash drank to much. He looks like he's about to black out.

Peter: Ok I'll be there in an hour, maybe more.

Ned: Did MJ just say "Be back soon".

MJ: Shut up Ned.

Peter smirked and slightly blushed. When he got to the van's location he saw three people. The following events are all according to the movie Spiderman: Homecoming.

Next day...

Peter was walking through the crowded hallway of his school to go to the workshop.

"Hey, thanks for bailing from me." Ned greeted sarcasticly.

"Sorry Ned, something came up, I couldn't let it pass." Peter said.

"What is that?" Ned said looking at the device on the table.

"Don't know what it is, but I know what is that." Peter said, pointing at the purple orb. "That's a chitauri grenade." He whispered. "They tried to vaporise me with this."

"Cooool" Ned said.

Peter looked at him annoyed.

"I mean not cool, definetly not cool, totally uncool, that guy seems scary?" Ned tried to look apologetic.

"It's a part of a weapon, very dangerous. It wouldn't leave a trace of a body, just ash." Peter said. "I have a feeling the goons I met last night will come here for this. Keep it away from any devices emitting radio waves, It'll trigger an explosion."

"OK, got it." Ned said.

They both went out of the workshop and after the lessons the met up to go to their house. As they walked Peter recognised two people that attacked him with the weapons last night. They hid behind a wall.

"Dude-" Ned said.

"Quiet, those people are here." Peter said. "Go to the other exit. Get the grenade out of here."

The goons went to the workshop and searched the place. Peter hid under a table. As one of them turned around, he slowly walked to the exit, his hand on the gun holster. Before they went out the workshop Peter shot a GPS tracker one one of the goon's foot.

That evening...

"They're in Marylin." Ned said with Spider-Man's mask on. "But how are you gonna get there?"

"I can travel to any point on earth with ease but that would rise suspicion. Although Marylin is not far from DC, which is where the next Decathlon is. That would be a good cover." Peter suggested.

"What do you think is in Marylin?" Ned asked.

"Probably their base of operations." Peter answered.

Next Morning...

The whole decathlon team was preparing to depart to Washington DC. Then Peter came, Asking to re-join the team. Flash protested, but Mr. Harrington immedietly accepted him. While they were driving to DC Liz organised a small quiz for the class. Suddenly Happy called Peter.

"Hey, Happy." Peter greeted.

"Got a blip on my screen. Why are you leaving New York?" Happy asked.

"Academic Decathlon. It's a school trip." Peter answered while sending him info about the mission he got from General Blade. Happy took a look at the files.

"I see. Ok nothing to serious. But remember I'm watching you." Happy said.

They arrived at DC and checked in the hotel. Peter and Ned took a separate room.

That night...

The whole decathlon team was out of their rooms, for a evening pool party. Peter was suprised.

"Hey Peter, wanna join." Liz invited.

"Uh... I was thinking of going to the library to study for a bit." Peter said.

"Peter you don't need to study, you're already smart enough." Liz said.

"You can never be too much prepared Liz." Peter gave an excuse. He had to get to Marylin. On the way he put on the Spider-suit and Karen AI spoke.

"Hello Peter, What shall we do today." She asked.

"I put a tracker on our target." Peter said. She pointed the location on his hud. It led him to an abandoned gas station. There was a van parked next to it.

"Karen, scan that van." Peter ordered.

"Three hostiles, two are armed." Karen said. "There is also a covoy of trucks transporting chitauri technology. Would you like me to warn them?"

"No. Vulture will come out at some point, I'm sure. If we warn the convoy, they will not attack" Peter said, and he was right. A man with massive wings came out of nowhere and landed on one of the trucks. He placed some sort of "wallhack" on the roof of the truck and went into the cargo compartment. Peter did not hesitate to attack, but after their fight with severe injuries, he fell into the truck's cargo compartment and Vulture closed the "wallhack", and left. Peter would be stuck if not his OTHER power. He opened a portal back to the hotel unnoticed.

Next day...

Everybody thought that Peter was in the library, studying for the decathlon. They didn't even feel compelled to check, Peter was nerdy, geeky... in the flesh, Despite his darker personality, fighting Vulture and taking rest to heal his wounds, Peter did actually study for the decathlon... in the middle of the night. Afterwards they went on to win the decathlon. Everybody expected Peter to score the win for them, but MJ did it. everybody rejoyced. After a celebration they went back to New York.

Next day at the ferry incident...

Stark was angry. Peter once again avoided him and did not report to him. He was lost.

"If you're nothing without this suit, you shouldn't have it. OK?" Stark said. Peter just looked at him. He used his magic and changed his clothes, his suit folded and he gave it to Stark, who was somewhat stunned but didn't change the look on his face. After a trip back home and an explanation to Aunt May, Peter went out to breathe some fresh air. He sat on a bench in a park nearby. Sonya and Shang Tsung came to comfort him.

"Peter... I'm sorry for what happene-" Sonya was interupted.

"No, only I am to blame for what happened. I can't continiue the mission, General. I don't have the suit." Peter said.

"Are you Peter Parker, master of suits?" Shang Tsung said, putting his arm on his shoulder and trying to get him to see the light in the end of the tunnel. Peter looked the sorcerer. He got up and went home. Sonya looked unimpressed.

"Give him time General. He will open his eyes." Shang Tsung said.

Liz has just asked Peter to go with her to the school prom. Peter wouldn't accept her offer but he got a word from his friends that MJ was asked out by another person so he accepted it. As time grew, their relations went very... bloody. After telling Aunt May, she became ecstatic, somewhat dissapointed that it wasn't MJ, but still ecstatic.

Peter took a taxi to Liz's house. He was nervous, but at the same time happy... until Adrian Toomes opened the door. Peter's face went from a smile to a stern look.

"You're Mr. Parker?" Toomes said, raising his hand for a handshake

"Yeah" Peter shook his hand.

"Come on in, come on!" Toomes invited him.

Toomes drove Peter and Liz to the prom, when the got there Toomes asked audience with Peter.

"Don't let him in to eat you." Liz said. She got out of the car. Then Toomes grabbed a gun, hid it behind the headrest and turned to look at Peter.

"Does she know?" He asked. Peter just looked at him. "She doesn't, good."

"I know Liz loves you, I would never dare break my little girl's heart. So I'm gonna give you one chance. You go through those doors, you forget everything, and don't you ever interfere with my buisness again, ever. If you do... I'll kill you, and everybody you love." He threatened.

"I understand you Toomes, we have to do something to keep our families happy, more importantly... safe. I can't blame you for doing this." Peter said. He was not fazed by Toomes. "Have a nice day Mr. Toomes" He got out of the car and went in the building. He found Liz and went to her.

"What's with the face? What did he tell you." Liz asked.

"We must talk privately, Liz" Peter said. He led her to the dark and empty halls of the school.

"Peter where are we going?" Liz asked, she was somewhat scared. They stopped.

"Do you know how your father got so much money in so little time. Do you know what you father has been doing for the last few years?" Peter said.

"Uh... He hasn't told us..." Liz said nervously. Then Peter used his magic to change his appearance to his Kensei apparrel. Liz was scared.

"You father has been selling weapons with alien technology to outlaws and bandits. He and his people tried to kill me twice." Peter said. They continiued to walk down.

"That... can't be true... you're lying!" Liz shouted.

"Liz, I know this is hard to believe but it's true." Peter said, grabbing Liz by her arms.

"What are you going to do to him?" Liz asked.

"When I find him, I'll turn him over to the authoroties." They got out of the school building to the bus parking. Suddenly they were attacked by one of Toomes's goons. Peter blocked the powerful attack from his gauntlet to protect Liz. It was Shocker.

"Boss knew you weren't gonna turn down. I'll finish the job for him." He said.

"Your technology is no match for my magic." Peter said. Shocker attacked him. but Peter parried his attacks and defeated him. Liz was in shock. Shocker was on the ground crawling away from Peter.

"Where is he? What is he going to do?" Peter asked.

"You'll get nothing out of me Spider-Man." Shocker stood up, grabbing by a nearby bus.

Peter started laughing.

"Your soul is mine!" green magic washed over his hand. Shocker felt a sharp pain in his chest. He saw his soul coming out of his body. Once fully sucked, he dropped to the ground. Armed with the knowledge of Toomes's plans he opened a portal to his location, litterally in front of Toomes.
