The Wolves have a Scent

( 3rd P.O.V. )

As Peter is making amends with his new life, Richard Parker is also trying to find a solution for the situation he got himself and his wife stuck in.

In a private room nearby the hospital wing of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Facility.

"I think i should just talk to him and come clean, he's the only one i can think of that can help us out of this situation."Richard says to Mary.

"Are you sure Richard , Nick isn't just an agent anymore he's the Director now. He has the responsibility of all of Shield on his head now.

And he's new to this whole thing so hasn't established himself properly. If we go to him he might not even be able to deal with the people who are after us. And we'll just be creating more trouble for him." Says Mary as she's trying to think this whole thing throughly.

"I.. Don't know Mary. He's the only chance we have of a having a normal life with our kid. He'll be able to provide us with a safe house and. . and. . . new i.d.s .And it'll help him establish his authority if he has this thing with him." Richard says trying not to sound desperate and filling spectacularly.

"Mary, I can't think of any other way . He's our ticket out. Our only chance to keeping Peter safe and out of anyone's reach." Richard says as he reaches into his pocket and takes out a pager.

"Wait! Are we going to tell him about Peter? I don't want my baby boy involved into any of this. Richard what we did to him , we can't let anyone know otherwise there's going to be a manhunt for my boy." Says Mary tightly holding onto Richard's forearm holding the pager.

"Yes yes, we. . we can't tell anyone. Nothing happened to Peter mary, he just got a cold a really-really bad cold. And we fixed it.Yes that 's what happened." Richard says to Mary as he held onto the pager tightly.

"God, Mary what have we done? What have i done?"

As Richard finally breaks down and let everything out and starts bawling while keeping his down.

"Its fine Richard, everything is fine we did what we had to do, We saved our son's life. Richard i don't regret it for a second. And if he grows up to hate us than i'll live with that cause thats how much i love him." Mary says as she hugs Richard as she has tears streaming down her face as well.

They stay in each other's arms, crying their hearts out for a few minutes.

Richard finally gathers himself and finally breaks the hug as they both clean up their faces.

"Fuuu, I'm gonna tell Nick we were successfully in completing it . But it isn't tested and we want a safe house first for ours and our family's safety."

Says Richard as he looks into Mary's eyes for approval.

"Yes, say that and tell him to prepare transportation for us in a weeks time . We'll get Peter to stay at Ben and May's until we come back to get them. Plus i want to spend some time with Peter, We promised remember." Says Mary as he nods at him in confirmation.

A small smile appears on their faces as they think of the promise they made to their son.

"Ok." Richard says while typing the emergency code to their old time Spy friend who just got promoted to the positioning of their boss.

A little back and forth with the pager between Richard and their friend Nick takes 10 minutes in which he comes to explain their situation and asks for help.

"So, what did he say.?" Mary asks impatiently.

"I am sorry Mary, but we might have to cut that promise a little short. He says he can't to it in a weeks time he got something important so he sent the coordinates of a flight that takes us to him 3 days later." Says Richard looking a lot relieved and a little helpless.

"Just 3 days!? But he's going through so much right now, we have to be their with him . I mean anything could go wrong. Did you try to convince him? " Says Mary as she reaches for the pager.

Richard hands it to her "I did he says whatever that meeting is, Is for some something really important. If it gets into the wrong hands the world's doomed.

"So, Its the same old weekend. We dealt with stuff like this all the time. Can't he sent someone else." Mary says as if Nick just exaggerated the movie night not the end of the world.

"Yeah apparently, its a show of power for the people to stop breathing down his neck."Richard continues " And you used to do that stuff, me phff

i just used to be your tools man. " as he chuckled closing in on his wife to hug her from behind.

"No you didn't Mr. You're gonna kill us all by using science wrong. I remember those were your exact words to the head scientist." As Mary relaxes into her husband's hug and looks up at him." Those were the days."

"Yeah, those were the days." Richard says and continue. " Plus i remember that same Scientist really trying kill us later. So i kinda was right since the start. " as he chuckled looking onto his wife's smile.

The burden of not having to be worried about a plan was now slowly fading due to the plan.

And the couple were reminiscing about the past while enjoying each other's warmth and love.Not knowing that the one person whome they trusted the most was surrounded by the wolves that they were trying to hide from in the first place.
