Shawn & Jackson's Past.
"What do you mean?" Natasha asked as she heard Shawn's question.
"Well your boyfriend has a reputation of being very violent towards people who hang around his girlfriends, I might actually be taking a huge risk bringing you here, but of course I can handle myself in front of Jackson". Shawn said.
"I know that he gets angry but violent? I don't understand". Natasha said. She has been in a relationship with Jackson for two years and she has seen him getting angry but never violent.
"I don't want to speak any further, if Jackson finds out he will come to find trouble with me and I don't like unnecessary trouble". Shawn said
"Tell me, I promise it won't cause any trouble". Natasha said.
"Ya sure, hahaha". Shawn said and laugh, the last thing he would do is believe Natasha on matters regarding Jackson.
"Pleaseeee, I can do anything you want". Natasha said while putting on the innocent look once again, Shawn looked at her and smiled.
"Anything?" He asked with a smirk on his face.
"Ew, what are you thinking?" Natasha said and trying to cover her chest.
"I didn't think anything, you are the one who is implying, you have a dirty mind, just give me 100 dollars". Shawn said with a smile.
"100 dollars? that's it? aren't you supposed to be afraid of Jackson? you are willing to get hit for 100 dollars?". Natasha asked. She is a little disappointed in Shawn.
"Who said I was afraid of Jackson? And for 100 dollars I can bear to look at his angry face for a few minutes". Shawn said and smiled.
"Fine, whatever, now tell me". She said and took out 100 dollars from her bag and handed it over to Shawn, Shawn smiled and put the 100 dollars in his pocket and looked at Natasha.
"Well, I have known Jackson from a very young age, comes from a rich family, is arrogant, has temper issues, is a bully, he tries to have his way with guys weaker than him, all in all, a complete asshole. I and Jackson never got along, we fought sometimes in middle school and high school, once he broke my nose so I broke his.
We got suspended for fighting multiple times, soon he started to avoid me.
While I started to focus on my studies, he went along being an even bigger asshole.
Do you know why you have never seen Jackson get violent? Because everyone in the university knows to never touch his girlfriends, back in high school he had a girlfriend and she started to cheat on him with a junior. Jackson found out about this and cornered the boy behind the school and beat him till the boy's face was cut open, and suffered from a dislocated jaw.
It was quite gruesome, from then on girls never tried to get close to Jackson and the ones who did were off-limits.
You should have noticed right? How guys used to follow you around but when Jackson set his eyes on you, you became off-limits to every guy on campus, they started to avoid you before you even got in a relationship with Jackson". Shawn explained.
Hearing everything was a shock to Natasha, she knew Jackson gets angry very easily but he never went out of his way to beat someone in front of her, neither did anyone told her about him.
"Are you telling the truth?" She asked, she doubts Shawn as the Jackson she knows is not that bad compared to what Shawn just said.
"I am". Shawn replied. "Then why didn't I ever hear about it from anyone?" Natasha asked.
"Do you know what happened to the boy who got his face busted by Jackson? When the boy went to the police to file a report on Jackson, neither did Jackson got put in jail but the boy's parents who got beaten up lost their jobs, the boy left the city with his parents as they couldn't find any job.
Jackson's parents are tyrants, they will use their money and influence to fulfill all of Jackson's desires, who knows how many crimes that Jackson has committed have been covered up by his parents.
This is the reason why nobody goes against Jackson, they don't fear him, they fear his parents. If it was just Jackson, he wouldn't have such influence in the University". Shawn said and looked at Natasha to see her reaction, seeing that she is not saying anything and just staring at him he raised his hand and said "I am not lying, you can ask anyone in the university, but of course, make sure no one is around or they might get in trouble".
"What about you, if Jackson is the person you say he is, why are you telling me this?" She asked, she still doesn't want to believe what Shawn said about Jackson.
"I and Jackson never got along, the reason is that he couldn't do anything to me, if not I wouldn't have been living in this city, I would have left just like that boy, I don't want to brag but Jackson could never beat me up physically and his parents wouldn't try to pull anything behind the scene either". Shawn answered.
"Why?" She asked
"Well I don't want to brag but I have Marcus". Shawn answered.
"Marcus? what does he have to do with Jackson's parents not getting involved?" Natasha asked.
"Well not many people know this but Marcus is the sole heir to the Roster Enterprises, no matter how influential Jackson's parents are they can never match the money and power Marcus's parents have, and they love Marcus and they will do anything for him.
And Marcus being my best friend gets involved with everything I get involved with, if Jackson tries to pull something off, he will regret it". Shawn replied.
"Wait, Marcus is the son of Dwayne Roster?" Natasha exclaimed as her eyes went wide.
"Yes". Shawn replied with a smile.
"But how?" She couldn't believe it at all, Roster Enterprises is one of the richest corporations in the world, they have several businesses around the world, they are so powerful that they can control and influence the world's market if they want.
"Well, Marcus's father and mother met one day, fell in love, got married, had se-".
"Stop, stop, I get it, you don't have to elaborate". Natasha stopped Shawn before he can go more into detail about it, she didn't know what to think about it, she felt a part of her life crumble, the person who she seems to be dating is really not the person she knows.
She is already fed up with him but it turns out that he is even a bigger asshole, before she could take out her frustration, Professor Newmon walked in with a big smile on her face.
"Shawn, is everything ready?" Newmon asked.
"Yes, Professor" Shawn replied.
"Then let's get started" Professor replied and took control, Shawn walked towards Natasha and whispered into her ear "Whatever it is, we can talk later, let's focus on the research in front of us".
Natasha nodded her head and started to help around as well.
