I stood at seven and a half feet tall about as tall as I was in my Mjlnir Armor in my past life. My body is extremely broad with chiseled muscles that Hercules would fight me for and I just might just have to fight him over it. That will be a fun fight! Black hair stood spiked one side larger than another similar to how Broly's hair was in the second rendition of his character. It gave me a rugged and hardy complexion that was something I only had a shadow of in my previous life. Hard green eyes looked on with a thousand light year stare I gained from my long life of war. UNSC military uniform perfectly pressed.

"To have a good life here and get some rest while preparing for the coming battle. I was told to explain the threat so the Justice League would be on your side and not hamper your decisions and actions. Though do not mistake the threat is real and with the body you have now plus the technology available in this universe you should be perfectly fine. You saved humanity already now you can just take some much needed R&R and have fun for a few years. And since your mission intermingles with your heroes and the world you loved of your past life I was told you will fight all the harder to keep it safe." Valkyry said happily as she smiled at me.

"Is there anyway to have you here in this universe? I have missed you so much." I said with shimmering eyes. Valkyry was actually my previous A.I. companion chosen for me by the UNSC through rigorous testing and psychological exams to find the perfect fit. I had lost her later on in a battle with a group of forerunners and flood. Though it seemed a shadow of her was still with him till the end and even came over with him.

"I am not sure. It may be possible but I do not know where that information would be located." The A.I. Valkyry said to her Spartan. To me.

"Then I will find a way for you to join me in my adventures in this universe. With you by my side again we will finish the mission. And enjoy this new life." I said as I clenched my hands at my sides. A few plans, places and people to do this made it into my mind.

"I await the day that comes to be. But don't you worry I will be with you as I always was. Watching you and helping you when you need my help." Valkyry said to me smiling.

"Do you think I could get your help now? I seem to be on the clock and don't want to waste any time in completing my mission. Especially with my child body." I asked Valkyry.

"Yes. Originally you were not supposed to find out until I told you directly but you have already smashed that to pieces just like the Warthog on Reach." Valkyry said laughing.

"Hey, that time it was not my fault. The stupid Covenant shot the tire right at the time of the jump. There was no way I could foresee that happening otherwise I wouldn't have attempted it." I said in a huff. Remembering the redneck like action that led to a singed Mjolnir armor specifically on my ass. I didn't hear the end of it from the other Spartans or the Navy. Even my commanders couldn't look at me without gaining a smile.

"That time huh?" Valkyry said laughing once again.

After a moment of pouting I smiled and stated with the most emotion I had shown in my long life, "I'm glad you are back with me again Valkyry."

Overcoming her laughing fit Valkyry nodded and looked right at me smiling, "As am I Spartan—no I should call you by your new name, Broly." After a moment she asked, "What is it you need to know?"

"Once a Spartan, always a Spartan. Is there a way I can train my mind and body when I sleep? I can't just take however many years it will take for me to grow into my power. I have to fast track without harming myself to be prepared for the future. The best way I see I can do this is use the time my child body is sleeping to train." I stated to Valkyry.

Valkyry stood in place for a second, which means she had spent close to ten days of her own time to come up with an answer. "Yes, there is a way but it will be painful as you will have to break down the block in your mind. Once you succeed in this, the first objective will be completed. The second objective will be to fight your transformation. You will have to defeat the transformation to complete the second objective. The third will follow after these steps are completed and I will tell you then." Valkyry said to me.

I smiled at the information I was given. Now I had a way to train besides circulating my ki. This thought brought up a second idea I asked Valkyry, "Is there also a way to train my ki while I sleep or will I have to meditate as I always read in the stories did?"

"This training you will be going through focuses on the three elements you want. Train your mind, your body, and your soul. Fighting your nightmares will also help with this training. But, do note that, the original type of meditation is the most effective way to train your powers in a certain way. It is not the only way though. Have you forgotten what you were taught in your training? You already know a meditation technique you just have to implement it." Valkyry said smirking.

Thinking for a second I came up with the most likely type of training she meant, "What you mean that was meditation? How is that possible? I thought a person needed a silent mind to be able to meditate." I asked completely lost.

"That is only one of the many types of meditation. The one you learned was a war based meditation. Keeping a clear mind in even the most trying of circumstances is meditation. So Spartan shadow training is also meditation. Keeping calm in all situations is exactly what meditation is. Reaching a higher form of existence where you can look at things a different way." Valkyry said.

"No wonder I always felt so weird after those times at the beginning of training. It later became so ingrained I never thought about it." I said as my eyes lit with a new fire similar to when I was training to be a Spartan.

I would use my old life experiences to forge my new one. I would pull from everything I knew and I would learn to better myself and defeat the enemy.

No matter who it was.

Lex Luthor. Raz Al Gul. Vandle Savage. Doomsday. Bizzaro. The speedsters. The Old gods. The New Gods. The Reach. The Ring Corps. Mongol.

And finally the biggest bad of the universe. Darkseid.

Whew! I have a lot of enemies I am likely to come across. Almost as many as I did in my past life.

It was so...exciting!

"From what I am hearing outside, you will have likely about three months to train." Valkyry said to me.

"What? You can hear what the League are talking about?" I asked.

"Yes. It seems they are taking my warnings to heart. They will be going after the first nest. I have already placed enough information in their minds to give them enough to protect themselves from this small nest. They seem to be taking this far more seriously than the UNSC command did before Master Chief gave them the recordings we couldn't." Valkyry said to me with some appreciation in her tone.

"Yeah I'm still pissed about that. You figure having such a huge kill count on the enemy would give your words some kind of weight. You can expect that to be the case, here they have more belief in the unnatural and unbelievable due to the nature of this universe. They deal with things like that all the time. So they will take everything with the utmost seriousness as long as there is even a slight amount of evidence." I explained to Valkyry.

"Well at least you won't be alone in this fight. And maybe if you are able to train enough you can take care of the Flood before it becomes a problem." Valkyry said to me with a wistful sigh.

"Even I know that, that is wishful thinking no matter what. All the same I will do my best to make it easier on everyone here. I don't want my heroes to die on me." I said smiling to Valkyry.

"Right." Valkyry just sighed at my bullheadedness to take on every problem no matter how hard or insurmountable it would seem.

Then she smiled as it was this unstoppable object that drew her to him. "Alright now we need to save your life before you die soon."

"Huh?!" I yelled as I looked at Valkyry uncomprehending before I heard the change in Valkyry's voice.

"Do you think any organic being could hold the amount of power that was stuffed into you as a baby? Even the original could not handle this much energy as a baby. With the immense amount of energy locked within your body you will die if you do not train your body enough to equalize the pressure your cells are under. At this time the League will be preparing for an off world mission that will likely take them a couple of months. During this time you will have to train nonstop to prevent yourself from going nuclear. Here is your first mission Spartan; Do not die, train to control the energy to temper your body through your meridians, train to control the transformation. These will be your three objectives. If you are able to do so I will provide you with aid in training your powers. Is this understood?"

I had stood at attention at Valkyry's command voice immediately saluted and shouted an affirmative.

It was time for my first tempering in this universe.

It was time to train.

Outside of Broly's mind the Justice League sat in utter silence. They were all mauling over what had been shown to them as well as the implications of the information. If what they had seen and been told was true then the Earth, no the galaxy, if not the universe was in immediate danger. One of the people in this room knew of the threat or at least the location of the threat. If they did not speak up then they were betraying the very fabric of the Justice League. If this was true then they could quickly become an enemy of the Justice League. They had all made solemn vows to do everything in their power to protect the innocent.

"I do not know of this enemy as it is unknown to the supernatural world as a whole. If it was known every magical and divine being would hunt it to extinction." Wonder Woman stated before she continued, "I will go to Themyscira to speak with my mother as well as the gods to get them moving to prepare for the coming war. Do not worry Batman, I know the importance of subtlety. I will not tell her about Broly either." With this Wonder Woman stood and walked from the council table. "If the information is given please send me a message." With that Wonder Woman left with a mind full of doubts and a fear unlike anything she has felt before.

Green Lantern was torn as to wait to leave or head out now to tell the Lantern council about this development. Making up his mind he waited to find out if the information would be given to him so he could show proof of his information. He stated as much to the group, "The Green Lantern Corps does not know of this and I have not heard of any situation such as this. Should I be I will inform you all as soon as I am able. For now I will wait for the council to end before I go. That way I will have some information that can be cross examined."

Martian Manhunter went on to say, "There is no doubt that the information given to us was not a lie. If you had only felt the immense psychic power of the being there you know that there is no reason for it to give us baseless lies. We must face this threat with everything we have. If we do not then the flood will cover the galaxy before the main swarm is released in the future. The people of Mars have no such enemy that appeared."

Everyone's eye gravitated over to the only person who had outside communication with other alien species, Hawkgirl.

After a long few seconds she spoke, "I had just received information from my home world that they had found a planet they planned…planned to conquer. On this planet our forces saw an alien species that looked exactly like the one we had just seen. If I am not wrong then our species may be the first to be over taken by the flood."

"That is only if we do nothing. When did you receive the message?" Batman asked.

"I got the message a week ago. I have not heard back from my people since then. After what I have seen…I am not sure what I will find when I contact them or return home. W-what you all do not know is that my people had planned on conquering Earth at one point. It was put under review only after I sent to them that it would be too costly due to the Justice League and all of the other supers present on the planet. I am lost because I wanted to fight back against my people. But here I am and I am pleading with you all." Hawkgirl did something they had never seen her do bow to everyone there at her waist. "Please help me save my people. If you do then I will do all I can to support you in the future and I will get my people to do the same. Please."

The other two were shocked save for Batman, Martian Manhunter, and Superman all of whom knew about the empiric nature of Hawkgirl's race. The Flash did not understand until he really thought on empires, their very nature and everything Hawkgirl had stated about her home world. They were always a war to gain more of something. This time they bit into something that could kill them. Green Lantern was slightly hurt to not know about this but at the same time he understood the mechanics of the galaxy more almost everyone here at the table. Worlds were something that everyone fought over in some form or fashion. Worlds were the highest level of currency within the galaxy.

"One week? From everything we have seen it is likely that there will be a period of close to two weeks at the max that the flood will not expand from the planet. That said we have one week to get things set up and fall on the planet to eradicate the flood there.

"Green Lantern, you leave now and contact your council of elders. See if they will call on support from others to fight. Flash I need you to go find all of the heroes we were planning to initiate soon. I want to initiate them in tomorrow. I don't care how you do it just get them here. I will convince them all to join. Hawkgirl I need you to give me everything you can on your people and their capabilities. Everything. I need to plan out our strategy." Batman requested for the information.

"I will tell you everything I can." Hawkgirl said downcast.

"Good, once I take care of Broly I will come back so you can tell me what you can. While that is happening J'onn I want you to find more heroes we can add to the League. Search for the next week and make a list. Any that you find can be turned from the wrong side list them separately for me to examine. This the one time that I want you to search peoples minds outside of our mission. This is too much of burden for us six to handle. We need backup and this list will give us the cushion we need." Batman started giving out orders to the League. "J'onn I need you to tell Wonder Woman what we learned and what we plan to do. Tell her to prepare for war. This is an order for everyone, prepare for war.

"While everyone is getting this done I will be preparing for the future. As much as I want to head over immediately I don't have everything I need ready. At this time I will also be changing how the League operates at least in the background. We will still be doing everything the same but there will be provisions that will help us to prepare for the future events like this and all that entails. Remember if we win this fight then we will be better prepared for the future. We will have breathing room to grow and adjust to the new world we find ourselves in. Now, lets move." Batman said as he headed away from the council chamber with the crib holding the sleeping Broly. He said under his breath loud enough for Superman to hear him, "Meet me at the teleportation pad."

Everyone separated. They had a mission, one they had never expected to face but one that needed them all the same. Superman met Batman at the teleportation pad. "I need you to take Broly to the fortress. There he will be protected. I will send in the food Broly needs. Your robots will be the only ones we can trust that can handle Broly when we are away. I don't have a safe enough place to leave him. Your fortress of solitude is the only option."

Superman was not happy with the situation. First he finds out someone has used his DNA to create a weapon. Then he sees this weapon in action and as a baby, the weapon is able to fight the League. Followed by the information that there is a sentient genetic-zombie like plague from another universe that was poised to destroy the galaxy. The fact that the Justice League would not be able to handle this threat without the aid of humanity, which the League had sworn to protect, was something he could not wrap his head around.

The fact that the baby weapon had been chosen since he, who was also from this alternate universe, had information on the enemy. Superman was having a hard time dealing with all these shocking developments. And now Batman was suggesting that Broly be sent to the Fortress of Solitude the only safe location that Superman had. But he also understood the situation and saw the logic behind Batman's plan.

"Fine, but I am not happy with this decision. When should I expect you there with him?" Superman asked.

"I am going to the cave to order the needed food. Once I have it I will bring him to you. Give me four hours." Batman said.

"Alright, see you there." Superman said as he flew to the air lock on another floor.

As Superman disappeared Batman looked down at Broly laying the crib. Broly had a serious look on his face as if he understood the severity of the situation.

Hell for all Batman knew Broly did know what was going on, but since he was a baby he could not tell him.

Man did this day get complicated. No way but forward. If he wanted everyone to survive first contact then Batman would need to get the suits he had been working on finished in a week. He had no time to waste. Entering the code for the Batcave Batman disappeared from the watchtower.

Four hours later at Superman's Fortress of Solitude. A huge jet cargo plane began its decent. Batman was inside with the highly concentrated nutritional food formula, a full cargo load as he did not know how long their trip to space would be. As they said better to be over prepared than under prepared. The jet engines spun on their axis to provide a vertical landing.

With the plane landed Batman pushed the crib to the lowered hanger door. Artic winds blew in to the comfortable interior. Broly shifted in his crib at the icy touch of the wind. Batman smirked at the huge bundle that had been dressed by Alfred. Aflred always was a worrier, this time he wrapped up Broly so much that he wouldn't really be able to move due to the amount of cloth covering him. Batman looked up and saw Superman standing at the entrance.

Batman pushed the new hovering crib toward the unhappy superhero. "You know I wouldn't do this unless it was important, right? It's not like I have a lot of choices."

Signing Superman released the cramped face he had and nodded his head. "Yes I know, but you are the only one who has come here. I know you, we have gone through a lot together but now we are bringing in this baby who I do not know. It worries me, since he has my DNA there is a chance the Fortress will allow him access at some point. I don't want anyone else to have access. It is the only thing left from my home."

"We will have to deal with it as it happens. You have override commands so it should not be a problem to keep him from having access." Batman says.

"Yes that is true but the Fortress also has a will of its own that can circumvent my orders to an extent. I only worry that it will acknowledge him as my child over my protests." Superman says running a hand through his hair. "Plus Louis is angry to hear I have a…a child. But luckily she is angry at CADMIS. She wants me to bring him so she can see him. She even went back to her apartment rather than stay with me since I couldn't do it immediately. She said she needed her space to deal with this."

"I hear you Clark. There is nothing you can do when a woman says she wants something. Don't worry once we get back we will bring him to see Louis. She will hopefully have calmed down by then and understand that with our line of work this kind of thing is likely to happen." The two men commiserated over the complete lack of understanding that women lord over men.

"Alright, bring him inside I will get the bots to pick up stuff in the plane. Say why did you bring such a huge plane? I didn't think that Broly would need so much stuff if he is only staying here of a short amount of time?" Superman asked Batman as he turned and entered his secret base.

"Haha, well most of the plane is full of highly concentrated nutrient rich food. Broly has a metabolism that makes the Flash look anorexic. The rest is changes of clothes since we don't know when he will grow again." Batman explained.

Superman was shocked. That was something he had not expected to hear. "Will it be enough? We don't know how long we will be away so…"

"If we are not back before the food runs out then I have an automated system that will send another shipment here. Just incase. The bots will just have to pick up the crates they come in." Batman explained.

As they had been walking the two had reached the designated door and entered. On the side two Kryptonian robots were standing ready just as any butler would. "Robots this child will be staying here. I need you to care for him while he is here. His food is on the plane outside pleas go get it and store it. I will give you all more plans later." The two robots nodded and headed out.

The room was spacious as was every room in the Fortress. There was a crib that was made out of the crystal that the whole base was made from coming out of the floor. To the side where the robots had been standing was a kitchen and living room designed to accommodate the baby and the robots caring for him. The two looked at Broly as he lay in his new crib and Superman asked, "How could so much trouble come from something so innocent?"

"Haha, clearly you have never had kids before. They are trouble from day one. It is tiring, draining, and sometimes scary but it is worth it. All of it is." Batman says with more emotion in his voice than Superman had ever heard.

Superman looked at Bruce and knew whom he was referring to. Jason Todd and Dick Grayson. These two came into his life and joined him on his quest for justice. In that time he had cared for them like they were his own. In all aspects they were his. Their different parents and different names meant nothing up against that fact.

"Hopefully, I will be able to understand that sometime soon." Superman said as he looked on Broly and thinking what it would be like to have a child with Louis. That was what he wanted most in this world, a family.

"I will be heading back to the watchtower. There is nothing else we can do here so I will head back now." Batman said.

"Alright, I will meet you there. I need to speak to the robots before I leave." Superman said. "I will also bring out the armor from Krypton. It should keep me from getting infected by the Flood when we head out. I will also be spending some time near the sun to help me prepare."

"Good to know." Batman said as he headed out. Now he could focus on the other suits for the other members. As well as the new members that he had to get on board with the Justice League. He would have to search but he remembered that his father once said something about an association that was similar to the one he had set up decades ago.

Who knows maybe some of the people that were on that team who were still alive wouldn't mind joining the newest version.
