Chapter 24: Magic

It was time to give Ciri something to do. If she stayed with the Chaos Sisters any longer there was a chance that she may teleport back to the Witcher Universe and onto the Isle of Mist.

Which is what he was able to deduce, about what point in the timeline she is supposed to be at, from his questioning of her.

Avallac'h was a complete piece of shit!

He was absolutely useless in teaching Ciri to use her power, although he did help her, his teaching methods were terrible as he never took into consideration that Ciri was still just a girl that wanted to be free of the Wild Hunt pursuing her and live her own life.

Avallac'h was also a complete stalker of any descendent of Lara Dorren, who he had loved, but she fell in love with a Human and not him.

It didn't help that Ciri resembled Larq Dorren in appearances and Avallac'h was an absolute stalker of her.

Artreus wanted to help Ciri control her Magic and her Elderblood powers. She can't and was forbidden by Artreus to use her Elderblood powers since the Wild Hunt would locate her if she used it.

Artreus was certain that Quelaag was more then capable at killing one of Eredin's closest aides, Imlerith.

However, his second-in-command, Caranthir Ar-Feiniel is a mage, and a Mage that uses frost based attacks and Powerful Golems. Unless Quelaag is leveled up by Artreus, she would Mist certainly die.

Quelaag wouldn't be able to deal with Eredin Bréacc Glas, King of the Wild Hunt. He was able to fight an infamous and legendary monster slayer like Geralt, evenly. Thus, it stands to reason that he should be able to match Geralt at being able to kill beings and monsters. Not only that but Eredin was a powerful magic user due to him being an Elf.

Quelaag may be able to kill Imlerith and take on a large army of Wild Hunt warriors and Hounds. But she, her weaker sister Quelaan, Engyi, Laurentius and Solaire can all be killed and overwhelmed by the sheer army that they can bring if they detect Ciri use her Elderblood powers.

When he explained this to Ciri, she paled at realising that despite Quelaag being a daughter of a True God, she can still lose.

Ciri had accepted to not use her powers of the Elderblood. However, Artreus had made her learn control of Magic from Quelaag, Quelaan, Engyi and Laurentius. She also learned from Solaire about Miricles.

Ciri had the Elderblood which had given her her own Mgaical Source/Magical Organ to generate infinite Mana for her.

Not only that but Elderblood Magic is insanely powerful. When Curi had once lost control of her power after attempting to flee from the invading Nilfgardian army on her home of Cintra. She had screamed. Her scream had caused a massive fissure in the ground that was the length of a Canyon and the gap of more than 20 metres. She had performed other feats, but that was something that no spell in Dark Souls could achieve. Only someone like the 4 True Gods of Lordran could accomplish a similar feat.

Even then, that was a fraction of the power that the Elderblood possessed. She also jad access to use any magic she desired since the Elderblood allowed her to have Mana and Magic Manipulation in anyway she deemed so.

Artreus also had the Elderblood since he had taken it from his parents while in his mosquito form a long time ago. It seemed her mother had the Elderblood and her cursed father Duny didn't. Artreus was surprised to learn that Duny, Ciri's Biological father, was actually Emperor Emhyr Var Emreis.

He never was able to finish Season 1 of the Witcher on Netflix so this came to a surprise to him.

It was said that Ciri's parents had died at sea. When Artreus went back to the Witcher Universe, he followed Emhyr and used the Crimson Makluan Ring to read his mind. It turned out that he had faked his death to return and claim his right to Rule of Nilfgard. Then he invaded Cintra to take back his daughter Ciri which failed as she escaped and met Geralt.

When learning Pyromany, Ciri was taught to respect her power and control it like a Pyromany Flame.

Solaire taught her that when he recites the Dcriptures of the Gods, he draws forth his power from the surroundings and can cast Miricles.

The Scriptures of the Gods were not actually by the Gods, but were texts that existed long before the 4 Lord Souls were found in the First Flame.

The Gods just found them and taught them to the rest of Humanity. The NPC in Dark Souls 2, Licia of Lindelt, tells this to the Player. This can also be found in other parts of Lore but Licia directly tells us this.

Faith is also a factor in casting more powerful Miricles or Spells.

Proof of this is Fillianore. In Dark Souls 3, she had used a Light Spell, that must have been learnt from Oolacile, to manipulate the Time of the World Itself to fast forward for the Player. The Player experienced only seconds pass, but everyone in the world including Fillianore had experience possibly thousands of years pass.

That was why Gael is shocked to see you still alive in the desolate world. He even says "What, Still Here?".

He is genuinely surprised to see you still alive in the world.

Fillianore and gone Hollow since she had given up her Hope, her Belief and her Faith in the fact that her father Gwyn would keep his promise to come back for her. But he never did...

Instead it was the Player who she saw...

With that, her Faith crumbled and the Time Spell that was being maintained had broken...

And she had become a Hollowed Corpse...

Even Ciri used Faith and her Happiness in the Good/True/Best Witcher Ending of the Witcher 3 to stop the White Frist and survive.
