The truth about him!

“No…just trying to make sure that she forgives me. That’s all I want.” He simply added. “I was attracted to you, because…it was not just because of your pain, because you some kind of remind me of her.” He walked closer and settled next to her. He was still staring at her…although she wasn’t sure how she would describe his gaze, but it sure seemed like passion mixed with sadness. He cupped her face. “She was just like you. Innocent yet strong, curious, tolerant and hopeful.”

That would explain why he felt so protective about her. And why he felt tempted to kiss her whenever she was with him. “You still love her! Your wife?”

It took him a long time to consider but eventually he nodded. “But, I don’t expect she would love me back. I just hope that she forgive me. I guess you know about me now.”

“Why I’m having a feeling that I don’t know everything yet….” She pointed out. She could tell that her answer startled him. He wasn’t expecting that.
