Energy-Devouring Chain

Lone Wolf quietly stared into the distance, he could see glowing silhouettes approaching from far away.

They were all coming at full speed.

Meanwhile, Scarlett Fox, upon seeing that he had no other thing to say, rolled her eyes with a well-hidden contempt. 'Soo Boring'

Left with no other choice, she watch as the silhouettes approached.

She would occasionally look at Lancelot to see if he had shattered her illusion.

After some time, Lone Wolf opened his backpack and brought out a strange chain the chain was like a handcuff, but it was. Thicker and a little bit bigger than normal handcuffs.

And they were two of them, one has a long chain that join the two cuffs while the other handcuff have an extremely short chain joining the cuffs.

The shorter one would likely be used to cuff Lancelot's hand while the long one would be used on his legs.

The long one that would likely be used on his leg, would enable him to walk a little bit freely with little or no discomfort.

Upon seeing the Handcuffs, Scarlett Fox's eyes widened with surprise.

She never expected Lone Wolf to be so prepared.

With a sigh, she muttered, 'With this, handling him would be much easier'

Meanwhile, Lone Wolf did not waste time, he quickly went and cuffed Lancelot's hands and legs.

It was by this time that the other bounty hunters came.

That chain and cuffs are called the energy-devouring chain.

It is created mainly for Soulers.

When a Souler is cuffed with that chain, they would not be any different from mortals.

It is used mostly by the Souler Organization to capture Soulers who engage in criminal activities and misuse the power given to them.

All the bounty hunters were surprised to see Lancelot chained on the ground.

They could not believe their eyes, When they asked Scarlett Fox how that was possible, she told them that she trapped him in an illusion and is using his unstable emotions against him.

At that point, they nodded in understanding.

"It looks like his emotion is his weak point, he could not handle the fact that she was betrayed by his own brother... After all, they have been together. If we all had used force to catch him, it's very unlikely that we would be able to capture him, his Strength is not something that any of us can fathom" Scar said as he looked at Lancelot with a strange intent.

The others might be a thing more or less the same thought that Scar is thinking right now.

They all looked at Lancelot, the fact that they were able to capture him, was still surprising to them.

Everything seemed so... easy. That they were forced to ask themselves if Lancelot was a Four Star Souler.

But they knew the reason why they were able to capture him, if Lancelot was not as emotionally unstable as he is right now, it would be practically impossible for them to capture him, even with all their strength and trump cards.

At most, they might just be able to only wear him out.

Meanwhile, in the illusion, Lancelot still had no idea of what was happening in the outside world.

His real Father and Mother took him downstairs.

In Front of their door, were the two people he was familiar with.

Steve and Jane.

They were the future father of his brother, the one that betrayed him... It looks like he had not been born yet, and the one that looked after him during the apocalypse.

These two are one of the guards. were hired as Guards from a Security Company that deals with this kind of thing.

They were fighting strange beasts, the beast was wolf-like, they have grayish skin, coarse hair, large muscular bodies, and wolf faces that featured lower canines that resemble boar tusks. They were about Three of them. These creatures look like a hybrid between a boar and a wolf.

Their 'Tusks' Were their strongest weapon, and were not big, it is used by these beasts to tear their prey into pieces.

Lancelot eyes widened upon seeing these strange creatures, he had recognized them.

'The Famous Silver Fanged Wolf'

Steve and Jane were using the handle of their guns as a blunt weapon since they were already out of bullets, and also, the bullets seemed to have little or no effect on these creatures.

They were both well-versed in martial art.

Looking at the ground one would see the half-devoured corpse of about three guards, those guards had likely been killed by the beast Steve and Jane were fighting.

"Go, Go Go!!! We will hold them off for some time before joining you!" Steve shouted in a frenzy when he saw Lancelot's Parents.

"Let's Go," Lancelot's father said as he led his wife out of the beast's view and towards the parking lot.

In the parking lot were five cars, all of them were futuristic and none of the present technology matched up to it.

Two of them looked like the famous sports car [Lamborghini]

They were golden colored and looked nice and flashy.

another Two were like Jeeps.

The car was like a Jeep, it was big and looked strong, and the tires were made to easily handle rough terrains.

The remaining one had features similar to Bugatti.

It looked like before the apocalypse, Lancelot's father was a rich and famous person.

Without any hesitation, Lancelot's father leads them toward the jeep-shaped car.

In their current situation, the Jeep car is the one with the highest survivability.

It was made with stronger materials than other cars.

The man quickly opened the jeep's door for Lancelot's mother to enter.

She did not stand ceremony but quickly entered the car, she was still carrying baby Lancelot in her hands.

As soon as she entered the car, the man closed the door.

"Wait there, I will be back in a Jiffy... No matter what please don't make any noise as that would attract those strange beasts" He whispered to them before running back to the mansion
