Chapter 25: Training Continues, Sunset Forest, and Xia Wei's 2nd Ring

The training continues for about a week when news of Xia Wei reaching level 20 have arisen. Xue Tie immediately begins preparation for setting out to Sunset forest so she may get her 2nd ring.

Their training has ramped up quite a bit and all 5 are regularly pale and exhausted by the end. Xue Tie has been mostly spending his time reading some medical books so he knows how to create medicinal baths for his 'students' to assist their growth and recover from such intense strain of their training.

That is why Xue Tie doesnt do it except every other day or when he first shows them how the training goes.

All of them hate him on his 'off days' as he just sits comfortably with a drink as he reads the medical books. With his money, he has no troubles in gathering the materials for their baths. As such their physiques have developed well. Du Lie has grown some muscle on top of what he already had. Shi Xin and Qi Ming have transformed into a slightly more lean form as they do less weight training as Du Lie, but it's only the initial steps. As for Xia Wei, she has mostly been casting off her baby fat and the most notable change is her legs which have grown more refined. Xue Tie estimates that she was slightly malnourished and will likely exhibit a powerful growth spurt in height and physique because as it stands. She is quite literally a loli. One who is capable of draining someone's strength with a single touch from her own shiny scepter martial spirit-Siphon.

As for Xue Tie and Bibi Dong's relationship? It seems she had confronted Qian Xunji but after that, she has become more recipient to calling Xue Tie as Brother Tie. This almost made Xue Tie have a nosebleed due to the shyness of the pink haired girl before him conveyed as she said it. He tried to give her a hug which only ended up with a new job for the construction crew to patch up. Their worries increase with every job. It is afterall the 4th one in a week as Xue Tie is relentless in showing his affection for Bibi Dong. After regularly knocking him away, she escapes with a blushing face.

Soon the preparations are ready and just like his teacher, he commissioned a mission to get his team some more experience but nothing as crazy as facing a spirit beast far above their level. Their target is also the target for Xia Wei's spirit ring. A group of spirit beasts had bypassed the inner barrier of sunset forest and entered the outer regions. They have decimated various low level spirit master and beast groups as they set up their hive there. Yes, Hive.

The target of the mission is a type of bee Spirit beast. Specifically the 900 year old mutated Bee Queen, it is on the precipice of reaching 1 thousand year old beast which is why it must be hunted down.. Her mutation had vastly increased her spawning rate and the spawned baby bees have excellent coordination. Xue Tie suspects that the baby bees are less newborn beasts and more projections of itself which is how it is able to coordinate so well. Many hunters have gone after it, as a mutated beast is likely to give a mutated ring as well. But having hundreds of few hundred year old bees following the queen bee like loyal soldiers who are vastly organized is a death sentence to those regular spirit masters. While the stronger ones simply move to the inner layers as they have no need for a 900-year-old beast. Which is why Xue Tie can claim it for his Xia Wei. The local spirit hall has labeled the area around it as quarantined from its spirit masters. And any beast who enters that area clearly has no self preservation and needs to die. The journey to Sunset forest took a week. They stopped by Sunset city to visit Xue Tie's parents who practically fawned over Xia Wei due to her cuteness. Her emerald hair combined with blue eyes makes people see her as the most beautiful little gemstone. Xue Tie said a prayer for Xia Wei to survive his mothers affections as the memories he had before his consciousness materialized envisions her being smothered all the time like a doll.

Their training did not stop during their journey. A 2nd cart traveled with them, attached to the first but it was just a flat wooden board. A platform where Xue Tie began to have spars with his students, he only let them off when they arrived at Sunset City.

From the local spirit hall guide which had been replaced as the last one was the person who helped awaken Xue Tie. She had long gotten a promotion and has slowly risen to Silver Bishop status over the years.

After half a day's rest, they set off to Sunset forest with a map provided by Spirit Hall. They take a few minutes to arrive at the border of their region. The location of the Hive is well documented and so what they are doing now is strategizing while Xue Tie says that he will go into hiding to deliver a blow that should prevent the Queen bee from flying so the final blows can be delivered. It is up to the rest of the team to deal with the potentially real baby bees. Xue Tie goes into hiding now as they plan.

After a few minutes a green fog is released into the area. The bees are agitated, their instincts telling them of danger but they can't determine where the threat is coming from. As minutes pass, veins appear on all the bees and they begin dropping like flies. The group of 5 pushes forth and begins taking down the individual bees and soon enough the Queen bee appears. It screeches out and charges at the group only to receive a needle through its wings. Falling down on the floor. The group nods to where the needle came from as Xue Tie used his newest artifact, Cy, he got from his family to suppress his energy signature and sneak attack the Queen Bee. Though he can play it off as it just being his energy control as they don't know for certain.

Du Lie softens the hard shell of the Queen bee enough for Xia Wei to deliver the final blow on it. The yellow ring with hints of purple in it floats up and she begins absorbing it while the rest of the group, Xue Tie included, keep watch over her

An uneventful half an hour later, the ring is fully absorbed and revolves around Xia Wei.

Xue Tie looks at her and as a representative of the group. Asks her, "What is your new ability?"

"It's called Bond. I can set up an invisible link between people which works with my first ability siphon attributes and through that link I can provide it to others. It has other usages like sharing energy as a whole which even i can receive from. The only side effect is we share 25% of our pain and there is no secret communication. I also have to get within 10ft of someone to link that person" She explains but Xue Tie's eyes are only glowing
