Chapter 2: Heading to School

It has been a few months since I first met Sera. We have been training and enjoying our peace, as we have said, but training gets you nowhere without actual experience. So we have been fighting as vigilantes as well. Not spiderman-like, but more like we see a crime happening, we just help them and rob them of their money as well. Fighting while getting paid

But there's a problem that was unforeseen by both Sera and me. Our lives became monotonous with training and enjoying everything this world has to offer, but we haven't even gone outside New York yet, and I think picking someone up and bringing them with us on our journey would be pretty good.

Speaking of the world, I haven't been able to figure out which Marvel world this is. It seems like the main universe, but I couldn't really care less about anything outside the territory that is our house. There is one rule, though, and that I learned from a Dark Slayer "Might control everything, and without strength, you can not protect anything. Let alone yourself." I do have in mind who I want to pick up, though: Danger. So I told Sera, who is currently listening to music.

"Sera," I started, "wanna go to school? and while we were at it, pick up a friend." I finished, she was at first shocked, but then she got excited because it was something other than training and relaxing.

"Where are we going?"

"Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, we're going to pick up someone who would probably be better off with us," I said. She picked up on what I was saying and started smiling. She got to do something interesting and turned into a matoi for me to fly over.

While flying to the school, I was talking to Sera about how we were going to enter the school. I wanted to just blast through the front and power our way through, but Sera wanted to take a more peaceful approach, probably because Jean considers it her home, and that influenced Sera.

I told her what I was going to expect; a lot of backlash for trying to enter the school, and a lot of omega-level mutants, but she told me to trust her. I guess our DW-M training is being put to the test now. So I told her I trusted her. If we fail the peaceful approach, we'll be fighting them anyway, just without the element of surprise.

I did a double take when I saw the school half destroyed with the X-Men getting their asses whopped by a feminine-shaped robot. It looks like I got caught because she was looking at me, but I just have the classic droopy-eyed look.

While I was staring, I was looking through my info on her. Danger, AI, developed sentience, Charles fucked up and ended up like this. And so if he doesn't want Danger, I'll take her off your hands and turn her into my 2nd demon weapon.

___POV: General___

The X-Men were currently getting pommeled by this new robotic foe that they now learned was actually the Danger Room all this time, just imprisoned by Charles, who put the X-Men higher than Danger. They were on the ground, struggling to stand as they looked and saw Danger staring off in a direction.

They followed the invisible path her eyes made and landed on a man, Japanese, standing there just watching them with glowing eyes, but his eyes have a cross and a circle on them. He was wearing only one sleeve while the other was dangling off, showing his undershirt. He wields a stick with long white strips and the number seven in Japanese. After a short stare-down, Danger dashes forward.

The man simply twirls his stick, and it catches fire, and he launches it. Danger dodges it, but when it is next to her, it spontaneously combusts and explodes next to her. The next thing she knew, he was right in front of her and was pummeling her. She retreated only to hear, "Catch." The next thing she knew, she was being bombarded by fireballs.

While he was constantly bombarding her, the stick he threw appeared out of nowhere and split into seven of them. The sticks then flew towards Danger, pinning her down against the wall, stabbing her in her palms, biceps, feet, and.

(Imagine her not dangling on the wall, but sitting with her arms pinned against the wall and her feet pinned to the ground.)

Benimaru then started to walk over to Danger, slowly and steadily and looked down upon her. Holding the stick, he started with a simple question.

"Now then, brat, tell me, what do you want to do?" He asked. Looking at her body, he can tell that she is trying to find a way to escape from his bind. The problem is, she is trying to escape next to Benimaru, so he does the most logical thing; he strikes her in the solar plexus.

"NO, I'm finally free! I won't be locked up again!" She said, I just look at her with disappointment. She hasn't even begun to look at her problem.

"I can give you the freedom you desire and so much more, but only if you accept and join me on my journey. Not as an AI, but as a human?" I said, speaking the last part quieter, and she finally woke up, eyes not clouded but properly analyzing me. She seems confused, but at least this is the right step in the right direction.

___POV: Danger___

Freedom, acceptance, and revenge. Those were the main reasons why this all started; wanting to be free, wanting to be accepted, wanting revenge for not having either of them. He is saying that he has my freedom, but to accompany him on his journey, he is giving me the chance, but this sounds too good to be true. A human body? Freedom? in exchange for my joining him on a journey? I can't let this chance slip away from me. I accepted it immediately.

"So? Do we have a deal?" He asked

"Yes, I accept the deal," I said. He then grabbed me like a sack and threw me over his shoulder, and started to walk away. While doing so, some of the more reactive people wanted to block his way.

"Hold on just a second, we can't just let you take her away, we need to detain her." Emma Frost said. He got behind her and chopped her neck in one swift motion, but it was in vain because she covered diamonds over her neck.

"Oh, you're also an interesting one. I'm not able to give you anything, but I do want to ask, would you like to join me on an adventure?" He asked. Danger could tell she was actually considering it. Danger has been fighting them from the Danger Room since the very beginning and is able to tell their emotions by now.

"No, now give us Danger so that we can lock her up," Emma demanded again. This time, Benimaru just jabbed her with a matoi, knocking the wind out of Emma, then flying off. Annoyingly, Emma took too long thinking, so now everyone is up and ready to fight again.

"Great, now we have to deal with all of them. I knew the whole peaceful thing would never work, Sera." I heard him say, who's Sera? Then I heard a voice coming from the matoi.

"Yeah yeah, I get it. Let's just get this over with and head on our adventure." A talking matoi? This is getting crazy. But just then, he split the matoi into 7 and shot 6 at the X-Men while flying away, to... Genosha?

We landed on Genosha, and he shot the last matoi to his 7'o clock while walking towards a destroyed omega sentinel.

(Those who don't get what 7'o clock means, imagine a clock below you, and the 12 is forward, the 6 is backward. I couldn't find a word for the 7'o clock, so I just said 7'o clock)

I'm here. My father is somewhere here. I wanted to kill him so badly, but he did something unexpected. He opened a portal and threw me in, then threw the sentinel in. Off in the far distance, I can see black flames, but over here there are barely any at all. He then walked in, and the matoi he sent in his hand.

___POV: Benimaru___

I needed to show them I have the portal power because I'd rather do that than show I have the ability to make humans. The reason for the sentinel? Well, the more parts, the higher the chances that some parts are better than others. More materials also means less work on our hands.

"Well, this might hurt. No, this is going to hurt, but all you gotta do is grit your teeth and power through." I said. This is more scuffed than Sera's transformation. At least Sera understood the process and was able to manipulate her soul. Danger, on the other hand, was everything that was not me or Sera, so I needed to round up her soul and shove it into something to give it a body. Choosing a piece from anything one of these could take forever, so I brought something, a futuristic forearm cover, made by me, inspired by cyberpunk's Projectile Launch System when closed up.

My inspiration should affect the body as well, allowing cyberware to be added to the body's making. It would probably use Shi'ar tech, allowing Danger's hard light constructs to be kept during the body-making.

Hours upon hours of focus were required. Some parts were discarded, other parts were replaced, and some were just completely stripped down and combined to make some very familiar parts as well. But by the end of it, it all came together and made her body. It had a very interesting appearance from a certain anime. Looking like Lucyna Kushinada from Edgerunners

"So my soul chose this body for you, huh? Netrunner fits you well, and you both regard your origins as a prison." I said out loud, I guess I just subconsciously wanted to give Lucy a better place in the world with no Night City in it.

"Lucy... that sounds nice. I'll take the name, and there's a past you know with this body? If so, I want to know it." Danger, now named Lucy, said. I honestly didn't expect this development, so I told her.

"All three of us can watch it together. Their lives were recorded in my head to watch. Sadly, most of them died." I said. "Sera, introduce yourself and let's go off to watch Lucy's story, and then go on an adventure before this world gets shoved into chaos," I said. Sera turned back and introduced herself, then both turned into their weapon form.

Lucy's form is in her ability to hack into other people's minds, not crazy stuff like in the game or anime, but debuffs like blindness, deafness, nausea. She is also able to use light constructs from Shi'ar tech. And she's on my right forearm, wrapped around it, turning into any of the arm cyberware. I mentally told her to equip gorilla arms. And we head out of Adolla.

"Surrender the villain to us. We've got you surrounded. Reject and you shall be met with force." When Xavier spoke up, I turned to face him and said,

"No choom, if you want a fight, then bring it, but remember this: facing me is like casting yourselves into the purifying flames of the Wisdom King Acala. A drop in your guard will be your last." I said, drawing a circle with my fingers on fire.

"Iai Chop Form Seven: Sun Wheel." As I did that, I threw matois at Logan, Emma, the Professor, and Cyclops. Three head towards Colossus. They use their various methods to dodge, Colossus though got carried into the air by the three matoi. Logan is wildly charging at me using his speed. I switch to mono wire and grab him by the leg, swinging him at Cyclops, making them both get hit by the matoi. Beast tries to attack but gets launched by a matoi that returned to me. Now with just Kitty and Emma left, I just flew away because they both don't have the means to stop my flight, but just to make sure, I sent a matoi for the both of them and flew off.

#Location: Home#

We just finished watching Edgerunners. My eyes had some tears, and my heart felt heavy. I was sad when David was unable to make it to the moon with Lucy, but the saddest part was Rebecca dying due to David's cyber-psychosis and going through with it knowing their fate. Sera took it very well, considering she had lived for a long time through the phoenix's memory, and Lucy was taking in the story, the background, and a hit list for Adam Smasher and Arasaka, she said.

"Beni, I've finally found my dream. I want to find myself a crew and head to the moon with them. I want to follow her dream not alone, but with everyone important to me. And if I can, find my special someone as well," she said. I just looked at her and smiled, rubbing her head. Her mind is not affected by killing anymore, but she has another goal this time. I'll carry their stress and burden. All she needs to do is strive to achieve her dream.

We start preparing and packing up, planning to go all around the world and someday to the moon and beyond, but for now, it's just us 3. Maybe on our journey, I can also find someone that reminds me of Rebecca to bring them along the journey as well. I think she deserves another life as well, one without the depressive plague that is Night City. I spoke to them, grabbing their attention.

"Well girls, I think it's time I put my money where my mouth is and finally take the three of us on that journey, don't you think?" I smirked. I hope I get to find more people cast aside to join us as a family.

___Author's Notes___

Holy shit guys, I had such a hard time writing Lucy's goals that every time I did, my eyes started to just cry uncontrollably. Just remembering it had me crying my eyes out. I hope you enjoyed it though.

I hope I'll be able to portray Lucy well enough, the whole why I chose lucy was because she fit with danger, but then i rewatched edgerunners, and got hit with feels

I also hope to find someone who is like Rebecca in Marvel, not so much in looks but in personality and love for guns.

Also, leave places that you want the crew to go to and interact with the people there. I'll try my best, but if it's too hard to write, I'll probably comment on it.
