Solpolus-The world of souls

I wish for a new hope. Waking up after dying, Lex once again find himself inside a living and breathing body. Although he doesn’t know what happened, he’ll for sure not let this chance go. Disclaimer: This novel is inspired by the game Undertale and Glitchtale(Mostly GT). However it’ll only be similar in the world setting(aka souls and monsters) and not characters so don’t expect to find any characters from the game. Even if you DON’T have knowledge about either of them you can still enjoy this. The start is also a bit slow so try to give it a try till the end of the first arc(since each chapter is relatively short)

Soul(2)

Staring at my soul in bewilderment, both Hans and Nasha was left speechless. It was obvious from their face that they didn't expect this.

In fact, Nasha already has an inkling on what has happened but she decided to keep quiet for now. After all it wasn't the important part.

No. It wasn't the fact that my soul appeared that surprised her but it's color. Red, the bright red color illuminating the surroundings. Though she has never seen this soul color before, she seems to have read this from somewhere.

"Red..." Muttered Hans. He was just as lost as Nasha. However with plenty more access to information, Hans manages to match the soul with a book he has read before. It's was a particular story.

It didn't take long before Hans shouted in surprise.

"The red king..!?"

Hearing Hans words, Nasha also remembered about the story. The red king, also called as the tyrant king.

Immediately she summoned 2 whips and lock both Hans arms in place, taking away his mobility. Hans was briefly surprised but soon a wry smile appeared on his face.

"You know I won't tell them."

"And how do I know?" A chilly voice ask back.

At this point all the kids have moved back to hide behind Nasha. They were obviously scared not understanding what's going on. Even I didn't know why everything is so tense all of the sudden but I can tell how troublesome this soul of mine is going to be.

Hans didn't really have an answer and a troubled look appeared on his face. He was frankly tired as he didn't expect anything to happen on the trip.

"Nasha, you know you can't do anything to me..." Hans said before glancing at us, his intention obvious. "... there's no choice but to trust me."

Still glaring at Hans, the whips in her hand slowly tighten before turning translucent and disappears. Checking his arms, Hans add while fixing his outfit.

"Besides, I wouldn't dare bringing up something so troublesome when the reformation is happening.

I wouldn't want the country to be destroyed after all, nor would I want to get all the hate from the higher ups."

Nasha cold atmosphere was gone and she turned around to look at me with complicated eyes. Turning back at Hans, she bowed her head.

"Can you please help me out one last time, for old times sake?"

Hans flinched slightly at the sight of Nasha bowing before a long sigh escape his mouth.

"...fine. For old times sake." He said before disappearing through the door.

After the incident, Nasha let the other go to play while she brought me back to the window. Before leaving, she crouch down and look at me straight in the eye, her voice calm and gentle.

"Ken, can you promise me something?

To never show anyone your soul, ok?"

Looking at her bright blue eyes which is glowing even brighter than before, I nod my head. Seemingly satisfied, she rub my head before returning back to the others.

Staring at the view outside the window, my innocent look was soon replaced by a serious face. Watching the people passing by, I gradually calm my heart that was beating wildly.

The moment the soul appeared, I could feel an attraction to it. My emotions became unstable and all the noise around me turned static. Remembering that sensation, I feel something gathered at my hand. Bright red particles surrounded my hands before dispersing.

'How particular.'

My eyes remained at the same spot where the particles gathered. Although it hasn't been formed into anything tangible I could still feel the incredible power inside each one of them.

'Is this magic?'

Before I managed to relish myself more in the sensation a stinging headache struck. All the noise around me was reduced to static again, only this time much louder. My vision was quickly dyed red before my consciousness shut down.

The last thing I saw was the windows frame.

I’ll try daily update.
