Solpolus-The world of souls

I wish for a new hope. Waking up after dying, Lex once again find himself inside a living and breathing body. Although he doesn’t know what happened, he’ll for sure not let this chance go. Disclaimer: This novel is inspired by the game Undertale and Glitchtale(Mostly GT). However it’ll only be similar in the world setting(aka souls and monsters) and not characters so don’t expect to find any characters from the game. Even if you DON’T have knowledge about either of them you can still enjoy this. The start is also a bit slow so try to give it a try till the end of the first arc(since each chapter is relatively short)

A plan to sneak out

"Pshh, Ken, Ken." Called Hubris. Next to him was Gero who's looking around warily.

What's this? A new game?

"What's going on?"

Leaning closer to me, Hubris asked in a small voice.

"Ken, you want to sneak outside with us?"

Huh? I was quite surprised at the proposal. Sneak out is it?

Looking at me expectantly, Gero nod his head. Hubris lean closer to my ears, said in a serious voice.

"We have already have the others on board, there's only you left."

"Then why are you whispering?"

Nasha wasn't home right now. There should be no one to keep the secret from if everyone has already agreed.

"Erm... we haven't asked Tok yet."

"Why not?"

"He's been here the longest so he takes mom's words very seriously."

That make sense. Being the oldest brother of so many children and being the one who stayed with Nasha the longest, he must have felt a responsibility to look out for us. Not only for our wellbeing but also lessening Nasha worries.

"So you don't care about mom's words?"

Hubris flinched a bit. He doesn't seem very comfortable with such an idea.

"We do care... but the outside is so much fun. And last time there weren't anything right? I'm old enough to go on my own!"

Raising my eyebrows, I asked again.

"What about the others?"

"I...I can take care of them too!" He stuttered.

I sigh in my mind. The whole thing sounds terrible. Though I don't know for sure how dangerous the area we are currently living is, going by Nasha's words it's not a place where kids should go alone.

I don't know if he's stupid or ignorant but he could easily go and ask either Nasha or Hans to go out. Of course there's a chance of denying but going out occasionally should be doable.

I do find it quite strange that Nasha didn't bring the kids out more as an enclosed environment isn't very good for a child.

Now, how should I solve this. Frankly the solution is simple, just tell Nasha. It'll notify her of the children dissatisfaction and I can leave her to think of a solution on her own.

However, letting Hubris understand the mistakes on his own isn't too bad either. He's still young and mistakes like these should help him grow to be more careful. Or maybe nothing will happen at all but I doubt it.

"When are we going out?"

"When? Uh... today, yes we can go right now."

I take back my words. He need to see the his mistakes.

"Can we go one week later?"

"Why?" He said dissatisfied.

"Please brother?"

Perhaps please by me acknowledging him as my brother he agreed happily.

"Sure!"

Good. One week should be enough to discuss this out with Nasha, Hans and Tok. Though I might look a bit weird to them, wasn't the original Ken already weird in the first place.

I'll also have to discuss with them my plan, a way to safely damage my soul. I feel like if I fail to do this, something bad will happen in the future.

Hopefully the plan will go well.
