17 - I'm still alive!

"Tsk... my head." Mickaila frowned as his consciousness was slowly regained but his head had this thumping noise following him which gave him an headache but other than that, his whole body felt much more better after a short rest, [Wait...] his eyes widened as memories started to flood into his mind and jumped up from his position searching his whole body and touching his head, feeling whether he still has a high temperature but no he doesn't. He then looked around his surroundings to see the same battlefield he was previously in, all the bloodshed splattered everywhere except for the scorpion that disappeared into the thin air, but the rest of the body was still lying on the floor, [Am I dreaming?] he questioned himself whilst pinching his left arm, [tsk...Ok, definitely not dreaming!] he reassured himself and gave a relieved sigh despite his confusion.

He then started to stretch out his muscles, checking his pulse and breathing before he started to move around to check whether there was some abnormalities with his body but there was nothing despite he was still in the poisonous room. Although his scar that he suffered from the sabertooth wolf was still present on his back but the wound started to dry up and has slowly began to heal, [I wonder what happened?] he thought.

'System, how long was I out?' Mickaila asked, 'About 12 hours' the system nonchalantly replied. 'Oh, Ok' Mickaila replied with the same tone but then he gasped after processing the information provided by the system, 'YOU SAY WHAT?' Mickaila shouted shockingly, 'I mean, if I was out that long, wouldn't I have already died from more monsters coming into this forsaken battlefield?' Mickaila asked in a desperate and frustrated manner unsure of how he was still alive but the more worrisome thing is that he worries that Rosalia may call the police if she goes back home and finds Mickaila to be missing. Despite how Mickaila is a young adult and can look after himself, Rosalia would still worry, maybe it was due to the fact that Mickaila has been bullied since a young age.

'The other monsters are too afraid to come here since the poison is so dense that they cannot handle, so you are safe for the time being.' the system replied.

'What do you mean safe? I am poisoned!' Mickaila said leaning his head on one hand as if depressed with listening to the system's voice.

'Check your stats' was all the system said which Mickaila obliged, [Status]

Mickaila looked through his stats screen and sees that his level has gone up along with his basic points but he wasn't certain of why it was way less than what he got from the trolls that he fought before which the system caught on to what Mickaila was thinking and answered, 'the basic  points allocated to you would be less than before since you have levelled up, if the monster was higher than your current level and ability combined by a massive leap then you would gain more points...' which Mickaila easily understood and thought it was fair, '... but if it was less or similar to yours then you would at least get 1 point and as for the trolls you fought before, they had a higher skill and level so each one that you killed will gain around 10-15 points.' Which Mickaila nodded as he processed the information in a split second and looked at the monsters laying on the floor, and he came to realisation with how the monsters are ranked, 'So let me guess, the strongest monsters are ranked as 1, the medium strong monsters are ranked as 2 and the normal ones are ranked as 3' Mickaila said which the system agreed.

Mickaila then scrolled down to see a skill that he has never seen before, [Detox?]

[So this explains how I am suddenly immune by the poison, this skill is quite useful huh] Mickaila thought quite pleased.

Since all Mickaila's senses are back and working, he could feel a more stronger enemy coming from within one of the 3 tunnels ahead of him but he was uncertain of which one,

Moving his consciousness and using all his senses, he could feel and visionary see that within the first tunnel to the left consists of many large reptiles that are poisonous but only around the rank of 3 and it doesn't  consist of the strong and demeaning aura he sensed, the tunnel in the middle consists of some rank 1 and majority rank 2 monsters who seems to all be in a state of bloodlust and luckily for Mickaila, this is not the tunnel that the boss was in leaving the last one to the right.

Moving his consciousness further inside the third tunnel, he could see only rank 1 monsters which made Mickaila gulp, but luckily for him, they were all asleep and it seems the boss is more further in the tunnel but he couldn't sense where but he was certain this was the tunnel he is seeking for.

Opening his eyes once again and being faced with dead bodies surrounding him, he stood up and made his way forward towards the third tunnel ignoring everything else. Just by approaching it, he could sense the strong demeaning aura oozing out from within. Mickaila took a deep breath and took his first step inside and then another and just as he got used to the atmosphere, he soon comes to a halt when faced with... sleeping beasts!

All ranked 1 creatures ranging from the most deadliest and poisonous creatures to those that Mickaila has never seen before or even thought to have existed before [then again, this is another world's existence that I never been to so of course there would be creatures I've never seen or heard about] he said to himself whilst thinking of a way to bypass all these creatures without waking them up. One thing for certain was that if all these creatures were like the scorpion and sabertooth wolf then they must all have high agility and strength along with good senses, so in order to bypass these creatures, Mickaila must ensure he doesn't make any noises or else it could be the end of him.

Mickaila internally gulped, slowly and carefully he tiptoed through the first tiger looking creature, then through the horned beast and wolf until he reached the middle of the herd, being extra careful to not wake them up.

~30 min later~

With one last step and Mickaila was finally out of that herd of beasts and now standing on the other side of where he was originally from.

He swiftly turned around and was about to head further in until he slumped and fell, just as Mickaila thought it was the end, but there wasn't any movement from behind, spinning around, none of them were awake and Mickaila gave a relieved sigh but just as he felt lucky, his luck suddenly turned upon him. A large three-headed green snake opened it's ruby red eyes and stared down upon Mickaila's small and delectable figure with it's fangs raised out, "Ssssssss..." the noise echoed throughout the tunnel and soon waking the whole rank 1 monsters up from their slumber. All the creatures sight was then focused on the human before them with saliva dripping down their jaws and with the strong "ROAR!" signalling Mickaila to run whilst the herd of creatures followed close behind, "damn! Can't you at least cut me some slack?" He said frustrated.

Running through the large tunnel for the last 10 minutes, he soon comes to the end facing a large double green door, with the beasts high upon his toes, he started to push the door but it wouldn't budge, believing it was the end, he was about to take out his weapons and fight until a screen popped up infront of him, stopping him from his tracks,

As soon as he read up to "door" he immediately stopped and confirmed his choice to enter without knowing where or what the other side consisted of, the only thing his brain was thinking was survival. And just before the beasts reached him, the door opens and Mickaila slid in before the door closed again.

Hitting the floor with his back, he hissed from the pain and another screen popped up in front of him and this time he read it in full

|You are now facing the final boss: three-headed Flaming Wolf

Failure to defeat the boss means death|

Just as he was about to ask the system of where the creature was, he sensed a killing intent and quickly ducked and out of the danger zone and soon comes face-to-face with a gigantic looking wolf that seems to be aggravated with how an unknown existence (human) came into his territory. With it's blue fireball shooting down onto the place Mickaila was originally lying at, the whole ground beneath the fire started yo burn and dissolve.

Mickaila's eyes bulged out seeing how the flames were also poisonous and taking a closer look at the creature, Mickaila couldn't decipher his emotions with what he sees next.

'The boss is only a rank...'

Before he could finish his sentence, the three-headed wolf suddenly disappeared from his sight and when it reappeared once again, Mickaila already took a hit from the beast. Being flung to the far end of the wall making a deep dent, he collapsed onto the fall coughing blood out.

Facing forward, he sees the creature staring at him with a displeased and unpleasant look, Mickaila stumbled as he tried to stand up on his two feet, he then glared back at the three-headed wolf and spat out the left over blood in his mouth, "This is getting interesting!" he smirked.
