16 - A bad feeling

~At the Dark Opt army where Rosalia is working in~

"Bang...bang....bang" the sound of guns firing was heard throughout the whole field. All men and women were engaged and were suited in armour as the alarm sounded and the speaker blaring out, "This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill..." was all the announcer said before he was cut off, and as for everyone else that was left on army ground for night shift, they all got prepared within seconds and exited the building, going straight into the field where the shooting was heard from.

"Is everyone in position?" Rosalia asked through her earpiece signalling all her teammates who all answered with, "Yes ma'am/ general" just standing by waiting for Rosalia's signal to attack, seeing how the field was in a disastrous state with people out in the open being attacked down one after another, Rosalia knew she couldn't make a rash decision which can kill her own comrades and herself so she had to hold in her anger and frustration as she sees people dying right in front of her eyes but she knew that she cannot act on her mere emotions costing more life than necessary. She took a deep breath and looked over at the detector in her hands allocating the position of where the guns were fired at, and processing the angle and probabilities of the enemies exact location, she quickly caught on to where they were hiding and that there was a possibility that more were coming. And as soon as the field has quietened down, Rosalia quickly hand gestured for her teammates to take action knowing that their enemies were refilling their bullets and this would be the best chance to approach.

"Approach with caution" Rosalia repeated through her earpiece before her whole team began to make a move, with Rosalia and 2 other of her comrades approaching from the front whilst 4 would go around and hide from behind enemy hideout and wait for signal, and the other 2 of Rosalia's teammate would stay behind and take a lookout and protect their backs with their rifles.

Luckily for how the field was originally projected, there were several things acting like a shield, covering Rosalia and her team's approach being undetected by their enemies.

From the enemies current movement, she could detect a total of 6, and from what Rosalia could tell was that 4 of them were hiding from behind the sandbags whilst the other two must be on high ground, Rosalia then reached out her hand signalling for everyone to keep quiet and stay at their position and wait for their next command, "there should be two on high ground, we must first handle with them before we could approach." Rosalia repeated into her earpiece, whilst her two comrades who are long-distance shooters began to sniff out their location from behind.

Not long later, the other two positions were found, "General, I have allocated one on the tree to the left of you and another hiding on the building at the back."

Rosalia nodded, "nice work and now just wait for my signal to shoot." As the two nodded, keeping their rifles pointing at the enemies.

Looking around, Rosalia found a rock and quickly grabbed it before throwing it out onto plain field and within seconds, the shooting began once again, "now!." Rosalia said, whilst the two shot down the two on high ground under the mass confusion of their enemies.

Just as silence was heard, Rosalia and her two other comrades quickly approached behind the sandbags and pointed their guns at the 4 people, "surrender or die!" Rosalia commanded whilst all four raised their hands in surrender until a click of a gun was heard next to her ears, "hah, nice try, now drop your weapons." A woman said from behind. Along with 6 other men appeared surrounding them.

"Ok, ok." Rosalia said sighing as she slowly leaned down to put her guns on the floor but just as the woman was feeling proud and her attention was elsewhere, Rosalia took that exact moment to grab her gun once again and swiftly twisted her body going behind the woman as Rosalia held onto the woman's neck and the other pointing the gun on her head.

"Now all of you, put your guns down." Rosalia said whilst the woman scoffed, "what are you going to do, make me hostage?" She asked as the men surrounding them still pointed their guns, "we still got you surrounded." She said with a smirk whilst Rosalia smiled and approached the woman' ears and whispered, "oh, really?" With that sarcastic comment the woman's eyes widened, "everyone duck!" she shouted.

Rosalia smirked, "too late!" And soon a gunshot was heard and a man was shot down whilst Rosalia's 4 other comrades hidden themselves from behind, now had all got their enemies in sight and within seconds shot down the rest of their enemies leaving the woman alive.

And just before Rosalia could question the woman, movement was heard from behind, quickly she turned around still having a tight grip around her hostage.

"Clap...clap...clap." The sound of someone clapping their hands approached and another woman appeared, taking a closer look as she got into the light, it soon revealed Rosalia's trainer/ teacher as Rosalia looked at her confused, "what's going on here?" Rosalia asked, "nicely done Rosalia." And with a click of the teacher's hand, everyone else that was laying on the floor started to stand up, "wait, was this a drill?" Rosalia asked whilst the teacher smiled and the woman Rosalia was holding on tightly started tapping on Rosalia's arm trying to signal her to loosen her grip, "oh, sorry." Rosalia said as she quickly let go.

"Wow, I've completely lost this round huh." The woman in front of her said whilst taking off her disguise, "Josaline?" Rosalia asked shockingly, "you were in it?"

Josaline smiled, "of course, I won't miss out on the fun to prank you." She said giggling.

"Ok, now then everyone, go and rest up and we should carry on this tomorrow." The teacher said whilst dismissing everyone.

And as for Rosalia and Josaline, both of them went to the army's bathtub where they took a shower in separate cubicles.

~after 20 minutes~

Rosalia finished taking her shower but by this time Josaline and the rest of her teammates were all gone, so she quickly grabbed her stuff and exited the bathroom dorm feeling all refreshed especially with changing into more comfortable wear, as she was about to get to her dorm, she felt a presence from behind about to grab her but instead, Rosalia took the first move and swiftly grabbed the person's hand and flipped them over her head and sat on top of them with a knife pointing at their neck but then she came to realise it was Josaline, Rosalia quickly stood up from her position but didn't apologise, "stop sneaking up on people, it's a bad habit" Rosalia said sighing as she put her knife away and held out her hand to help Josaline up, "damn, is it just me or have you gotten faster?"

But in actual fact she has gone faster and it wasn't just that, she also gained other benefits with her brother's help but she couldn't just say that out loud since it doesn't sound real.

[I mean I didn't even believe my brother when he told me all of this and thought he was on drugs until I actually experienced it]

Josaline accepted Rosalia's help and grabbed her hand and stood up onto her two feet and just at that exact moment Rosalia's necklace fell on the ground.

"Oh here let me help." Josaline said as she picked the necklace up and handed it to Rosalia, "oh...thank you." Rosalia said but somehow she felt like something was wrong as a chilling feeling came upon her at that exact instant her necklace fell.

"Are you alright?" Josaline asked who looked at Rosalia with a worried expression seeing how Rosalia's features began to look a bit down/ pale.

Rosalia quickly shook her bad feelings away and looked up into Josaline's eyes and gave a soft smile, "Yea...I'm fine." She said, "why don't we go back." As both nodded and headed to their rooms.

[I hope nothing bad has happened!] as Rosalia held tightly onto her necklace.
