Solitary Vampire

It’s the year 2357 on earth and the world has been at war in a three battlefront against humanoid lizards gifted by magic called dragonkin, aliens that had far more advanced technology called the Xalorians, and the remnants of angels and demons called ShadowFallen.  No to mention the aggressive beasts that roam the universe Through the war humanity has grown too big to stay only on earth, having finally gone to space and occupied planets that one could only dream of, but the universe’s mysteries are far and wide but closer than you may think. Rosaline, a young 16 year old girl, had been given a book to her by her dead parents that had died on the battlefront against the dragonkin before humanity and the Xalorians signed a treaty in the name of ‘preventing’ war and to deal with the powerful dragonkin. Like that treaty had ever stopped war and the Xalorians being hostile towards humanity. But no matter how hard she tries to open the book it wouldn’t give her face, not even pouring acid. But one day just before she goes off to her new military school after middle school, she accidentally poked her hand and a drop of blood fell onto the book.  A system appeared giving her a chance to become stronger, thinking this was a miracle. What she didn't know at the time was that it turned her into something not human. A Vampire. ********************* This novel was inspired by a lot of different media that I have seen so you may see some similarities between them. I will make sure to mention and give credit to the media when that happens. Updates everyday at 16:00 EDT I will probably be able to pick this novel back up again in December of 2026.

Leveling Up

Waking up, Roseline got up and opened up the System, seeing that she got the Daily Quest for sleeping 8 hours and staying out of the sun for 10.

She put one point stat in agility and the other in stamina.

Now that she thought about it, the whole vampire thing was in front of her face with the Daily Quest.

But knowing that only gave her more questions about the System, her parents, and just about everything in her life.

'I have been getting too many notifications.' Roseline thought.

At that moment she felt the feeling of slight power going over her body, making her muscles relax from the good feeling.

Seeing that she unlocked something called Skills, Roseline went to the interface for Skills

——— SYSTEM ———

Skills:

1 Blood Swipe

——————————

'Cool I have a way to fight now.'

Blood Swipe was as simple as it sounded. By throwing a claw shaped swipe, one could kill something from the inside because the swipe was targeted not at the enemy but the enemy's bloodstream.

On the outside it would seem as if she did nothing but to the enemy it would be quite dangerous if the inside of the enemy's body was not strong enough as it would cause them to become dizzy or paralyzed and the bloodstream would be in a more severe condition that could lead to internal bleeding.

But such a Skill wouldn't work on an opponent that had a strong inner body.

Roseline thought that such a Skill was a good one to start with.

Seeing her new found strength and finally having a method of attack, she wanted to try it out.

She got off of the bed and went over to an arena that was empty.

She had used all of her points on food so she couldn't rent a private training room for herself.

Getting over there, she put on her gauntlets and moved to one of the training robot punching bags, or at least that's what she called them, and turned them on.

The robot took a few seconds before getting ready to fight Roseline.

So enough the training battle started with the robot moving towards Roseline.

Roseline got her Blood Swipe ready and attacked the robot.

**TANK**

But the attack had only stopped the robot for a few seconds before it continued.

Roseline soon realized the reason was because the attack was for living beings with a bloodstream and not a metal robot.

As the robot got close to her face, Roseline threw up a punch towards what was supposed to be the face.

The punch was so hard that it caused a bit of a dent in the robot's face. The robot stopped as it had suffered damage, ending the fight.

Seeing the damage, Roseline was shocked and looked at her hand.

Before, she couldn't even lift a table but now she could probably do that easily.

Such a change would have been possible without the System which made her believe the fact that the System was meant to help her more.

Deciding to go back, Roseline was still looking at her hand as she left the arena.

As she stepped outside, she forgot the sun was still out and stepped into its light.

Roseline, feeling the heat from the sun, snapped out of her thoughts and quickly moved to the nearest shade away from the sun's reach.

The sun's light had become slightly unbearable for her ever since she became a Blooded Human. To her though, she thought this made sense as her evolution path had been changed to only vampling, which probably affected her being a Blooded Human a bit. Her losing the ability to taste sweets was most likely related to that too.

Thinking about Vampling, Roseline thought about her Daily Quest about getting and consuming blood.

'Just how am I going to get some?'

Stumped on this problem, she continued her way back to her dorm.

….

….

….

In the boys dorm, dorm 4-306, Lucas and Aiden were roommates with one other person but at the moment they were not there.

Lucas was talking with Aiden, trying to help him with the earth affinity book.

"Just try to feel it in your Magic Core that you imagined in your mind."

"Al-alright.."

Aiden closed his eyes and went into his mind as he tried to think of what the earth affinity told him to try and feel.

Lucas was trying his best to help as in the few days they had gotten closer from Lucas's constant talking.

But he couldn't help much as the affinities were really different.

Perhaps if Lucas had a more common affinity like the four most awakened affinities fire, earth, water, and air he would be able to help more but as he had the space affinity there wasn't much he could do.

Watching Aiden try to form his Magic Core through getting an affinity, seconds passed as nothing happened before Aiden gave up and stopped trying.

He had gotten into a barrier where he couldn't awaken unless he had some kind of opportunity to do so.

"I'm sure you will be able to awaken soon." Lucas said as in an effort to comfort Aiden.

But Aiden felt disappointed as he was betting everything on awakening and couldn't help but think about why he couldn't do so.

A ringing noise came from their IDs as it was telling them it was curfew but they didn't pay attention to it as they were already in their dorm.

Lucas soon thought about their roommate before throwing that behind his mind.

'It's not my job to worry about that guy, or Aiden.'.

Lucas was just helping Aiden as he was able to do so but he didn't think much about it other than that.

But he did think it would be nice to have some friends.
