Zapdos

Elesa was staring at the two birds which clashed every couple of seconds sending massive shockwaves. Gusts of wing rose as they attempted to sweep her off her feet. Lightning and ice crashed and exploded over and over.

"I hit the Jackpot. I have to catch Zapdos. Rex will be sooo jealous when he sees it. I'll definitely win next time we fight." She said adamantly before bursting into an intense bout of giggles. She threw her Pokeball out and a massive electavire appeared. It was vastly bigger than normal ones standing at a whopping 3 meters tall.

Electavire who originally had an arrogant expression paled slightly when it saw who was battling and gave Elesa a reproachful look as if saying 'you're sending me out to fight these monsters?'

Elesa rubbed the back of her head with an awkward smile. "Sorry buddy, but we need to catch the yellow one to beat a strong trainer later on. Your ability is the best for it." she said with laughing awkwardly.

Electavire snorted in displeasure and looked towards the two fighting Pokémon. Zapdos was clearly winning due to its insane speed. it was flashing everywhere and hitting from unexpected angles with dozens of thunderbolts.

Articuno was simply not a match for Zapdos's electric type super effective moves and soon called it quits. Zapdos laughed with a smug expression which irritated Articuno immensely. But it couldn't do anything about it. both Zapdos and Moltres were super effective on it. it was the miserable one of the trio. Having had enough of Zapdos's laughter Articuno flapped its wings and vanished into the distance.

Zapdos was about to do the same when it noticed a Pokémon and trainer looking at him with battle intent. He was surprised. They had clearly seen his battle, yet they still wanted to fight. They were either stupid or brave.

"No wasting time Electavire, use rockslide!" yelled Elesa with an excited expression. Zapdos was intrigued to see what the young human could do and decided to battle. Electavire extended its hands forwards and summoned dozens of rocks out of thin air that dropped on Zapdos's head. The opponent looked at the rocks with disdain and simply used quick attack to move out of the way.

Elesa nodded. She didn't think it would be that easy. Zapdos didn't let her think and used rain dance. A massive number of dark clouds swarmed and condensed around the two before a massive downpour commenced. Elesa naturally knew what it was going to do and yet, she held in the biggest smile that was struggling to break free.

Zapdos sent a thread of electric energy into the sky which immediately turned into a massive booming sound as a bolt of thunder as thick as three men descended in the blink of an eye. Zapdos scoffed at their arrogance. It was so easy to beat them. But just as it was about to fly away, it noticed a shadow amidst the cloud of smoke. Once it was blown away by the sea breeze, a grinning Electavire could be seen. Good as new.

Zapdos was confused as to how it managed to block it. but it didn't think it could survive two. It sent two bolts of thunder twice as thick as the previous one. They merged into one and became a dragon of electricity that smashed into Electavire. But to Zapdos's shock, Electavire didn't block but instead spread his arms wide in order to make himself a bigger target. When the bolt of thunder descended a massive shockwave spread. Cracks as big as houses began to appear on the mountainside. Small landslides were beginning to appear.

But Electavire who was hit by something so destructive was swinging his arm around and jumping up and down joyfully as large amounts of electricity surged around him. Elesa was beyond exhilarated.

"Now it's our turn. Electavire, use smack down!" she yelled. Her grin could no longer be suppressed. Zapdos flinched heavily when it saw that smile and shivers went down its spine. It couldn't even blink before a massive shadow drowned him. Zapdos would still see Electavire on the ground which made it confused. But it was soon cleared up as the Electavire on the ground faded slowly. It was an after image.

Before it could think, it was hit on the head so hard it almost passed out. It was sent rocketing into the ground which sent even more shockwaves through the mountain.

"Good-good-good. Electavire, use Earthquake!" she yelled with all her might.

Electavire roared from the sky and descended like a bombshell. As soon as it hit the ground the mountain collapsed from the impact. The shockwaves were too much. After sustaining two terrifying battles in a row the mountain couldn't hold on any longer.

Amidst the rubble, Electavire burst out with Elesa in his grasp. He had used protect to stop the massive building-sized boulders from crushing him. There was also an unconscious yellow bird in his other hand. It was Zapdos.

After about an hour, Zapdos awoke. What it saw shocked it. the beautiful lady had a worried expression which instantly disappeared the moment he woke up. Before it could do anything it was hugged tightly by her.

Zapdos looked at Electavire questioningly. Electavire told it what happened with a wide grin. Zapdos was shocked and turned to look at Elesa again who was now holding a Pokeball in her hand. Yet she didn't throw it at him. He also realised he was free still which means she didn't take advantage of it while it was asleep.

"Are you willing to become my partner Zapdos? I know someone who has Pokémon a dozen times stronger than me. I need Pokémon as strong as you to beat him. Are you up for it?" she asked. Zapdos was shocked. Someone was stronger than her? he looked at the destruction they had caused and suddenly remembered the pulse of energy and the sound of something shattering that made it fear for life itself. He was forcefully plucked out of the sky and made to kneel that day.

But he didn't believe that it was related. So, he nodded. he still wanted to get stronger, and this woman clearly knew something he didn't.
