Big bear

"What are you looking at meat bag?" said the doll as he turned his head to look at Rex. He didn't respond right away, instead, he retreated before slowly picking up his pace into a full-on run.

"Screw you Chucky! You midget ass, can't reach the top shelf looking ass." He mocked while running. But he soon ran into something big which forced him to the ground. When he looked up, he saw a giant Chucky looking down at him.

"Who's the one who can't reach the top shelf now?" mocked the doll. But before he could say anything, he blacked out. When he awoke, he found himself in a small room. Opposite him was an alakazam with a wide grin on his face.

'System what happened?' he asked in confusion.

[host was caught in a dream. Alakazam used hypnosis and made you experience a lucid dream that it controlled.] it informed.

'ohhhh, that explains why all those characters popped up that don't exist in this world.' He thought while nodding.

"Well done, I praise your skill alakazam." He said before walking out of the room to see the same receptionist with a wide smile on his face.

"What?" asked Rex. The receptionist didn't answer but handed him a mirror. He was puzzled as to why but took it and turned it to point at his face. But what he saw shocked him. He was extremely pale and sweating all over.

"Man, you guys got me good." He said while handing the mirror back to him.

"Yep, thank you for coming." He said with a smile.

Rex didn't say anything more and continued on his way. The dirt path was full of stalls serving all kinds of food. After those two experiences, he was hungry. He once again thanked God for the not getting fat option since this allowed him to eat without restraint.

He bought burgers, hotdogs, fairy floss, nachos with cheese and so on. He then looked up at the big Ferris wheel and made his way towards it. the line wasn't too big, so he only took a couple of minutes before his turn was up.

When he got in, he was accompanied but an elderly couple. as soon as the Ferris wheel began to move the old woman started talking.

"What is a handsome young man like yourself doing all by your lonesome?" she asked with a warm smile.

"Exploring the city. I don't have anyone to come here with," he answered with a shrug

"Oh? you don't have a girlfriend?" asked the old man with a smile.

"Nope, don't have one," he said while shaking his head. the image of Elesa popped into his head for a moment. he unconsciously began to smile.

"Oh, I've seen that smile before, who is she?" the old woman asked with a knowing smile. Rex was surprised. The power of experience was impressive.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he said meekly.

"Don't try to hide it boy, it's written all over your face," said the old man with a loud laugh.

"Don't pressure the boy you old bag of bones. don't you see he's shy?" she said while elbowing the old man in the ribs. the old man grimaced at the pain while begging for forgiveness from the old lady. Rex laughed happily.

"Don't listen to him dear, you do you, I'm sure she likes you back," she said with a nod. He didn't know what to say and simply gave an awkward nod.

"So, what are you doing in Saffron city?" asked the old man after recuperating from the elbow hit.

"challenging the gym," he answered.

"Oh? are you planning on entering the league?" he asked with an intrigued expression.

"yeah," he said with a nod.

"How many badges do you have?" he asked.

"four currently, this will be my 5th," he answered.

"Oh? that's quite good. well, good luck kid, I'll make sure to pay attention to you when I see this year's league." he said with a smile. just when Rex was about to respond the Ferris wheel came to a stop and the doors slid open.

he Bid farewell to the old couple and made his way to the next ride. on the way, he did a little thinking before nodding his head. he pulled out his phone and took several pictures of different rides and sent them to Elesa.

He got a reply almost instantly,

{Rex, I'm so jealous, damn maybe I should have come back with you. make sure to win me a teddy bear. *love heart emoji*]

He simply smiled and looked at the stall that had prizes set up. it was one of those stalls that scammed you out of your money. but he had a way around it.

as soon as he arrived he heard the voice of the old man in the corner.

"What do we have here? another rascal up for the challenge?"

"yep, how does it work?" Rex asked.

"Simple, you pick up this gun and you hit all the targets. the more you hit the higher the score. you only have ten bullets and 10 targets." the stall owner grinned while explaining. Rex didn't say anything else and picked up the gun in his head.

it was light and made out of plastic. he aimed at the targets and began shooting.

*bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang*

he only hit 5 out of the 10 targets. he frowned at the result. he had the top score at the shooting range in his past life. people even recommended he become a sniper. so for him to miss this much was unfathomable. it only served to reinforce his suspicions. normally he would have given up since there was no way to predict the trajectory of a faulty gun. but this time it was different. he paid the stall owner for another round and got ready to aim. the owner was grinning even wider.

But as he began to shoot, he used small traces of aura to guide the bullet trajectory.

*bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang*

this time, all ten shots hit the bullseye shocking the stall owner. Rex threw the plastic toy gun down and stared at the stall owner.

"I want that one," he said, pointing at the massive bear that was as tall as he was. The old man looked indignant but couldn't do anything about it and begrudgingly handed over the bear.

Rex walked away with a comically oversized bear over his shoulder.

"She'll definitely like this one," he said with a happy smile on his face and an extra spring in his step.
