Chapter 5: Walls

Rubbing his head Asher beats himself up internally for not paying attention earlier. The situation is bad. He reaches out and feels the wall. These walls are giant screens. He tries to think back wondering when they appeared. He knew coming into the warehouse he could feel the warm stale breeze through the large place. He looks up wondering if it reaches the ceiling. He sees the warehouse lights above reflect on the images showing him the rough dimensions of the space they are trapped in."Yes," he responds to Fia as his hands glide along finding a corner as he tries to feel for any gapping, "These walls weren't here before." His voice is measured.

Fia gawks at Asher asking, "H-How can you sound so damn calm?!"

He ignores her as Evelyn responds, "What else do you suppose we do? Panic will only get us hurt." She glances over and sees Kisho's red hands and the rips on Fia's clothes from her struggling, "Bruises won't help us out of here. I suggest you take a few deep breaths before you also lose your voice. You'll probably need to save your strength." 

Fia cusses under her breath but takes the advice as she can hear Kai muttering things to himself. Asher works around the edges realizing there is about six feet between the beds themselves and the walls. The back panel 'rooms' were still there but now only screens. "There is no door." He says as he looks up and sees high above some vent fans above the lights, "Thankfully it doesn't look like we will suffocate." 

"Suffocate?!" Tamaya pipes up before Kisho brushes her hair out of her face saying, "Not suffocate." He glances up and points through the gauze covering the bed, "See up there? Vents." He can feel her relax for a moment.

Asher steps away from them seeing Kai on the ground. "There-there's no buttons!" Kai says with panic in his voice. Clearly he wasn't paying attention to the wall situation. Asher comes over to him and helps hold the blankets up looking below. Kisho sees this and tells Tamaya, "I'll be right back alright?" She nods her head.

Kisho coming over glances it with the guys. Below the bed they see that the restraints wrapped around and went into the frame pillars. There seemed to be no gaps, No lights, Nothing to show how to fix their situation. Kisho looks at Kai saying, "We might be able to break off the bed posts?" Kai gives a dark chuckle saying only loud enough for the men to hear, "We need to get to the police. That's the only way we can help the girls." Kisho and Asher are silent as Kai wonders at their silence before Kisho says, "We're trapped in a room with no doors."

"What is this? A Saw movie?!" Kai says with rising panic before seeing what appears to be the warehouse as they guys come up from under the bed and stand. "That's not funny guys!" He slowly walks outwards from the bed then hits the wall with his hands as the dread seeps into him. "H-How?! We didn't walk in a straight line to these beds!" I touched those shelves right over there!!" He points off to his left as he wanders back towards the bed Fia is trapped on.

"The walls weren't here before." Asher says, "Well other than these ones." He comes back towards Evelyn touching the wall with the projections of wallpaper on them, "Except for these ones I think." He tries to think back. "I believe they went up when we were distracted by the beds." he starts to look a little frayed as he glances down at Evelyn saying, "I'm sorry I wasn't fast enough to get out."

Kisho is back near Tamaya's side where his backpack is and digs through it finding nothing useful but textbooks and some pens. He hands one to Kai saying, "Maybe there's a lock or something we can get undone on these?" He touches over Tamaya's restraints trying to feel for a hole.

Kai takes the pen and comes over to Fia touching her restraint. The moment he touches it the walls stop projecting the facade and turn a light grey. He drops the pen as he lets out a scream in panic saying, "I-I didn't do anything I swear!" He quickly backs away from Fia. 

Evelyn already looking up sees a ceiling slide in above them making the height of the room ten feet high. The borders of the ceiling are now the light sources for the room. Asher notices too as purple almost black text appears on all four walls and the ceiling saying the same thing, "The pairs have been chosen."
