I shook Ronny Kidd’s hand when we met in the middle of my office. /"Tell me you have good news, man,/" he said to me. Ronny was in his first year in the NFL, but he was already a huge name. People knew he was going places. Ronny and I included.

/"Of course, I do,/" I adjusted my suit jacket. /"That’s why you hired me./" Ronny had signed with me because he heard that I was new to this business, but with the father I had, also knew that I understood the industry enough. Truth was, I had studied and then worked my ass off to get here. Everyone was shocked when Ronny told the hire ups that I was the only one he wanted working on his deals after I had found out that the shoe company that was trying to sign him, actually didn’t have any shoes designed. He then set a three-month time to get him enough ironclad endorsement deals that he would make up for what he lost not signing a deal with the shoeless shoe company, without running him ragged.
