Chapter 5- Zafu

A giant spider.

Its body is about two tatami mats in size.

It's not a cushion but a futon.

It has eight legs to its left and right.

If it stretched out its legs it's probably about six tatami mats.

Its feature? It is covered with hair, not just the body but also the legs.

The spider beside Roy is acting gently.

What does it mean?

It doesn't look like they want Wisp to hunt it like the wild boar….

Roy looks like he's satisfied as if he performed a big task.

"Hmm, nice to meet you?"

Wisp asked confusedly if the spider could even understand him.

Roy barked at the spider as if saying something.

As if that was a signal, the spider spits threads from its buttocks and begins to skillfully fumble it with its forelegs.

After about five minutes, the spider wove a sparkling cloth using its own thread.

The size of the cloth is about fifty centimeters square.

Handkerchief?

It folded it into four and put it in front of Roy. Roy grabbed it and brought it to Wisp.

"Oh, amazing! a spider that could make clothes!"

Wisp could not help but be amazed as he looked at the handkerchief, it was the best handkerchief he had ever held in his entire life, he then looked at the spider.

It raised one of its legs and waved around as if saying something.

"Oh, so you want to live here, in exchange you will help me?"

It was but a simple give and take rule, the spider nodded, Wisp smiled and didn't hesitate.

"Then welcome to my humble house"

Wisp handshakes with one of the spider legs, he really had no reason to hate spiders, as long as they aren't poisonous, the spider looked very cute looking from his perspective.

"But where do you live though? should I make a house for you?"

Wisp asked, the spider wiggled one of its legs then ran towards the biggest tree that Wisp did not cut, it easily climbed to the top and waved its hands as if signaling it wanted to live on that tree.

"Ohhh, okay, if that is what you want"

Wisp nodded and let the spider be.

"I can't keep calling you to spider so let's name you, hmm, how about Zafu?"

Zafu wiggled its legs as if it liked its name very much, with that done, time to ask about the needs of the new resident Zafu.

Basically, it can eat anything but Zafu seemed to love to eat potatoes and tomatoes, well, it was the only food they have right now but it likes it and asked for a lot to Wisp.

It's not just Zafu who loved the potatoes, it seemed like the dogs also liked to eat it, so with that, Wisp created 10 more fields to plant, based on his calculation, he still has about 4 weeks before winter arrives.

Zafu is also smart, it kept staring at Wisp then made his clothes, as a thank you gift, Wisp planned to give it some designs, but not right now since they have no paper.

And so for the upcoming days, Wisp started storing for winter, Zafu was in charge of making clothes, curtains, even blankets, Zafu also make them very fast though, it was limited to 2 items per day.

In a way, the winter preparation was going very well, also Zafu made use of the untouched furs that Wisp did not use and created warm clothes, it did combine the animal fur with its own fabric for the creation.

How sophisticated!

Also with the large fields, Wisp couldn't look after all of it, but thankfully, Reynolds and the others took care of it.

The spiders in this world don't cry, cause they can use the instruments to create alarms, it'd send out an alarm if something is out of the ordinary, this is how it shows the directions to Wisp.

North 1 time, East 2 times, South 3 times, and West 4 times, it learnt how to use drum after it once, amazing isn't it?

"So North"

Wisp made his way towards the north and saw a racoon like animal rushing towards Wisp, behind it was the dogs that were chasing after it.

It was fairly fast since it could outrun the dogs, Wisp readied his AFT and turned it into a hatchet, when the animal got close to him, it swiped its claws towards him but Wisp reacted fast and dodged the swiped, he then slashed it with the AFT easily being slashed into two parts.

"Fuu, with the AFT, living here is easier than I thought"

After bringing the prey back, Zafu helped to process it, with the animal encased in a spider web, the process of removing blood and organ has become much easier, after swiftly hiding the prey, Zafu returned back to the treetop.

-A few days later-

Wisp is tending his farm today, he wanted to plant wheat to make bread, but just as he was doing that, Zafu's alarm suddenly went ringing 3 times.

"South?"

Wisp turned his AFT to machete once again and moved towards the south, the dogs also moved very fast and ran towards it, a few moments later, he could hear someone screaming.

"A monster that could imitate a human scream?"

Wisp immediately moved faster and when he arrived, he saw a small naked girl with her back against the wall and was surrounded by the dogs, she seemed to be bruised up, she seemed to be very scared, then when she noticed Wisp.

"P-please help me!"

She yelled for help.

Wisp immediately told the dogs to stop and went towards her.

"It's okay now missy"

The girl then suddenly jumped towards his embrace, then bit his neck and started sucking his blood.

The girl then started to grow rapidly, her body turned from a loli to a teenager to a sexy woman, her wounds also started to heal.

Wisp was surprised by what happened and didn't know what to do, the dogs immediately came to his rescue and immediately bumped the girl away, and from there on, she was team combo by the dogs.

"Please, wait! it's... a mis... understanding! stop please!"

Sabrina dashed, the girl was thrown in the air and was attacked by the dog again before she hits the ground.

When the girl fixes her posture in the air, another dog jumps high and slams her on the ground.

It's a body slam.

Seeing that, Wisp regained his composure.

"Wait, wait"

Wisp stopped the dogs from attacking.

As for the girl, the dogs badly bruised her again and she returned to being a lower grade elementary schooler.

No, she's smaller now compared to earlier.

"Are you an enemy?"

"N-no no, please tell these fellows to calm down!"

"You sucked my blood but you're not an enemy?"

The girl before Wisp might be a vampire.

He doesn't have any idea if there is anyone else who can do that.

"I apologize for sucking your blood. I would have died if I stayed in that state any longer."

"When you suck blood, you recover?"

That's why the dogs attacked her.

She immediately sucked Wisp's blood as soon as he let his guard down.
