The boy in blue is a kid

The first day she talked to the boy in blue remembered it vividly, almost like it wasn't just a few years ago. She had been having some issues in her friendship, beginning to realise that faults in people, beginning to feel like she deserved better and should distance herself.

The small canteen was bustling as usual, the small group of 12 circled the table waiting for the bell to go off for their next class, she sat with a carton of apple juice in hand sucking away.

Hanna, the friend closest to her in the entire group just sat without saying anything too, the two had a sort of mutual relationship as they both had slightly heightened intellectual capacities and tended to think in a similar manner.

It was odd, but they could easily picked out a person's personality and chose whether or not to befriend them.

They had also come to that point of understanding that it was useless debating who was better than the other as they both had their strong points.

When Jennifer came up to Alyce to ask a polite question, she had thought it was a foul play. She had come and asked, "Alyce would you want to come and hang out for my birthday?" She had asked Alyce to eat out with a few more friends at a restaurant, without asking Hannah Who had been the closest to Alyce as far as they knew. Somewhere between best friends and being a normal friend she surrounded herself with.

At first Alyce looked at the plastic doll, what was she thinking? To ask me without inviting her and being inconsiderate and so bold to do so. Did you ever consider her feelings?

"Sorry Hannah, it's not that I don't want to invite you but it's just that they'll be too many people."

Of all the excuses they had to give the most stupid one. Even if they said they didn't want her to come that would've made a better excuse.

Did they perhaps think that she would believe them?

Alyce nodded indicating she would go anyway to celebrate the birthday, then she glanced at Hannah before listening to the familiar ear piercing bell sound.

School was one of the things Alyce had a bittersweet relationship with. She hated it because of all the work she had to do but she loved it because she met all her friends there even if their value as friends was questionable. School was also a place where she could be herself, at home she was always rigid and careful as so to follow her parents expectations and reach their standards.

At school she was more carefree, she was with less judgmental people who where still judgmental none the less and she couldn't ask for more.

Actually, she could.

The her last day in school before the summer holidays she had a bitter taste in her mouth as she knew that because they were going to college she wouldn't see half of these people again.

And those people were the friends who had made a bad impression on her. Jennifer was just one of the many.

Me: Hello?

Aiden: senpai! Check out my new book!

Me: aww you're such a cute kid.

Aiden: stop calling me cute! And I'm not a kid!

Me: if you're not a kid then what are you?

Aiden: I'm a fully grown man!

Me: lmao!

Aiden: how old do you think I am anyway?

Me: ummmm.....9?

Aiden: not even close!

Me: 10?

Aiden: nope!

Me: 11? 12?

Aiden: 12.

Me: see! You are a kid!

Aiden : senpai stop, I've had enough of people calling me a kid in irl

Me: oh? Maybe it's because you're too cute!

Aiden: senpai!!

Me: hai hai. I'll stop.

Maybe it wasn't so bad to let go of your worries and tease an innocent kid, but he's just so cute.

Who exactly came up with the idea of creating him? You're a genius!

Maybe she should call him kawii and see how he reacts?
