Bar Fight, Part: 1

☆"at a random bar in the middle of the south"☆"Sophie's P.O.V "

From the look of things the place wasn't half bad. They had a live band on the stage that played the right tune for just about every moment, don't know how they did it but it was awesome. One moment it's rock music then the next they're playing country. It looked just like any other bar, but since every other aura was tainted with purple, red, or black… it was kinda obvious that this was the bar that we have been looking for. I am so glad that Ophelia has got me some spare clothes to wear and ones more suitable to the occasion too.

I wore a white tank top, a black skirt that went slightly above the knee, black combat boots (steel toed of course), and the finishing touch was the red rose belt buckle, black leather trench coat that had various pockets, and a black cowboy hat that I had tilted downward so no one could see directly into my eyes. Hey! What the heck, we're in the south. So I thought; why not try to somewhat look the part, eh? I go straight to the bar, grab a seat and sit down.

The bartender quickly comes over to me and says as if it was routine, "So what your poison, little lady?"

"Whiskey, and make it a double." I say bluntly and don't even bother to make eye contact.

I hear him give a slight laugh, so I shoot him a glare and say, "Whiskey… now….MOVE!"

His slight smile turned into a sneer as he turned around, got the glass and whiskey bottle, and then severed a double shot. He slammed the bottle down next to the glass causing some to spill then walked off to serve some other customers. I quickly looked around me to make sure no one was looking (no one was) then reached into my pocket and pulled out a vial of holy water. I poured some into my shot glass first, then the rest into the whiskey bottle. I quickly stash the empty bottle and down half my shot in one gulp.

Good thing about the holy water is that it cancels out all the negative effects of the alcohol, so all you get is the taste but you get to keep your wits about you. A good slayer always has a couple of holy water vials with them at all times. But enough about that,it was time to check in with the rest of the team. I casually grab my cross, link my mind to it, and then call out to the others telepathically.

[Hey guys can you hear me?]

[We hear ya' loud and clear boss.] Jacob's voice echoed through my head.

[Good. Surround the area and be ready to storm the place on my signal. Understood?]

[Gotcha covered Rosie.] Amazing how even telepathically, Alex still sounds so annoyingly smug and obnoxious… but somehow attractive.

Arrrggg… I need to concentrate otherwise I could jeopardize this whole operation and now is definitely not the time to think about boys.

[Be careful out there. By the looks of this bar, they might have high end demon security patrolling around the outside. So keep your eyes open and watch each other's backs, got it?]

[Yes ma'am.] They all say in unison.

I let out a small sigh. I am not going to get used to being called ma'am. It just made me feel older than I really am.

"Hey there, sweet thang, can I buy you a drink?" Said some drunker-than-shit fool who just sat down next to me.

I gave him a look, lifted up my shot glass to give him the hint that I already had a drink and for him to buzz off. Either he was way too drunk, or way too stupid because the next thing that happened, I was not expecting. The music had quickly changed from a sad country song to now an upbeat country song. If I'm correct the song was called Backwards by Rascal Flatts.

The guy got a little too close to me, enough to where I could smell a hint of sulfur in his breath. Yep, this guy was either drinking a brimstone cocktail or he's currently possessed by a demon. Heck maybe both, who knows.

Anyways the guy leans in and whispers in my ear, "I know why you're here, baby." He leans backwards and gives me a cheesy grin.

"Really?" I gave him a coy look, trying to play the part right to buy time, then asked, "So then tell me, why I'm here then."

He then pulled me close by the waist and said, "This is where all the bad girls come to seek what they truly desire."

I swear I wanted to stab him in the shoulder so badly, just so that he would let go of me but instead I slowly reached for my shot glass that was still half full of holy water whiskey.

"You wanna know what I truly desire?" He gives this smug grin and I just wanna wipe it off his face.

"I want you to keep your filthy demonized hands to yourself, you unworthy low-life." I hissed at him then threw the blessed drink straight at his face.

He screamed, holding his face and cursing all at the same time. The whole bar took notice and all eyes were on me. To be honest, not one of my smoothest moves as a slayer but this was definitely one of Lucifer's old demonizing bars. This meant that everyone here was either a demon or a slave to a demon. Rules are that once you make a deal with a demon they technically own you, but if that demon is slayed for whatever reasons shall it be, you are free of their hold and free to live out your days in peace. However, when you do die, your soul automatically goes to limbo where you walk the earth unseen for all eternity in an eternal loneliness.

Okay, back to the problem I was having. I looked around and people were starting to form a circle around me. I started to back up but I only backed straight into the bartender that I pissed off earlier and now he had a shotgun in his hands.

"I knew there was something off about you." He said shaking his head then aimed the gun at my head, "Sorry little lady, but after what you just did, I just can't let you leave here alive."

I raise my hands as if defeated and say, "I'm sorry, too, sir. But after knowing what you do at this bar and who these people are….. I can't exactly let you guys live either."

He lowers the gun slightly and gives me a confused look.

[Guys, NOW!] I mentally shout and within seconds the bar is filled with a dense black smoke screen like mist

I shoved my way through the crowd that was now hacking and coughing away on the dense smoke like mist and not paying any attention to me at all and then quickly hid behind the bar. I had to think the situation through and with a calm mind. I took a deep breath, pulled out my guns, and then took a peek over the bar to see what was going on. It appeared that the smoky mist had a blinding effect because the demon I threw holy whiskey on looked right at me but somehow it was like he was still searching for me. I was invisible…

I drew my guns and prepared myself to start kicking some demon tail, when a thought crossed my mind ... where the heck is the rest of the team? Just then I heard what seemed to be a door being kicked open. A slight smile crept across my face as I stood up and leaped over the bar, took aim, and opened fire on the demon scum. I started out as shoot to kill but I had to ease up to leave some for the rookies to practice their skills. I was starting to get bored since they couldn't really see they couldn't fight back, so I decided to step back, relax, and watch the rest of the group and see how they handle themselves.
