Two snakes, worse than one

As the snake continues to thrash about and cause the forest to rumble and despair as it sooner becomes nothing but a wasteland as the forest begins to crumble and leaving nothing alive.

Yet the snake cares not, for a single small human pest clings to its body, its small but powerful wooden weapons deeply entrenched into its scales, causing it pain and weakness. But the snake does not give up, for it has two heads, one that breathes fire and the other ice, as they work in tandem to bring about the death of this insect.

Arthur himself continues to hold on for dear life, his body creaking in pain as everything whacks into his body, including being nearly smushed into the ground multiple times. His muscles bulging as he holds on, and his veins pulsating as his body grows weary.

But the battle is not yet over; neither side has claimed victory.

"Hehe, take this, freak of nature!" Arthur yells as the grip he holds on his spear slightly changes, and he firmly plants his feet.

His stance taking on a weird form, as stands slightly bowed at the waist and the spear perfectly in front of him as his legs spread apart on either side of the spear. His hands taking a downward grip, palms open and pressed against the spear.

He takes a deep breath, filling his lungs with air, before he lets it loose, and then his body instantly shudders before a powerful pulse-like energy radiates the surroundings. The spear vibrates quickly, then stops as the pulse passes through it into the snake's body.

As the pulse moves from Arthur into the spear and then from the spear tip into the snake's body, the pulse rapidly expands and combusts like a pocket of air in space.

And then it pops!

And then so does the snake!

At least that section of the snake pops, slinging Arthur outward into the damaged terrain as the blood and guts of the snake rains down on the surrounding areas, turning everything red. Yet the only sound that is heard is the squeal of the two snake heads as the intense pain wracks its body, causing them to hiss blood as they thrash around.

Yet this time, it is not as one entity, but two separate ones, for his strike has turned one snake into two. Though it seems it is only a matter of time before they die out as blood continues to leak from the massive holes where their bodies were once connected.

This time both snake heads whip their heads around to find Arthur, their eyes bloodshot red in fury and pain. They slither their injured bodies forward, their thoughts still aligned though their body is not.

Immediately they both let loose a massive torrent of fire and ice breaths from their mouths as they move towards Arthur. The streams crash into each other as they are set forth, causing a vortex of destruction as fire and ice spews out.

Arthur starts to run, yet still swings his spear every which way causing pockets of air from his forceful swings to shoot out from him to deflect as much of the fire and ice as he can. Yet he still takes burns and freeze burns from the attacks, though he barely registers the pain, ignoring it, and continues to move.

The snakes, undeterred, keep slithering forth, their hatred fueling their movements as they leave a trail of blood behind them. Yet without the coordination of having the same body, they constantly get in the way of each other, bumping and colliding as they try to get to Arthur.

They hiss and let loose small bouts of fire and ice in indignation at each other as if to tell the other to back off.

Seeing this as an opportune time to strike as he runs, Arthur decides to make use of one of the more recent changes and features that has come to his spear.

He comes to an abrupt halt, a little ways away from the two snakes that barrel forth wildly. He puts one foot back, the other forward as he bends back slightly, his right arm rearing back with his spear in hand over his right shoulder. And with all the strength he can muster, he lets it loose as his right arm thrusts forward, tossing the nearly nine-hundred-pound spear at the ice-headed snake.

The spear, with such rapid speed that it breaks the sound barrier, causing a popping sound to rattle across the area, and creating a funnel of wind in its path, quickly approaches the startled snakes.

The ice snake feeling the dangerous object approaching, tries to get out of the way, yet it did not have enough time. It came too fast, too sudden, that there was nothing for it to do but let it happen. It pierced it!

No, it completely obliterated it. The entire upper half of the ice snake practically disappeared, as if it disintegrated into nothing, leaving the bottom half to flop about randomly as its muscles twitched. Blood begins to pool and splurt out of its body, showing no signs of life.

The spear disappears into the distance, having traversed dozens of miles in seconds. Yet Arthur merely thrusts his right hand outwards, and then the spear reappears in his hands the net second as he willed it too.

For it was something new that happened to the spear as it evolved from the time spent fighting and to all the bloodshed, both from its enemies and its owner. It is now inseparable from its owner, now able to be summoned from anywhere in existence. Never apart.

The Fire head of the snake stopped its movement, now looking at the fallen body of its other half. It feels confused, as its connection to its other half is gone; it feels like it died, yet here it is still alive.

It doesn't understand, as it has never lost its other head before. Its thinking power is now cut in half as it sits there confused, blood still leaking from its lower end. The snake then looks at Arthur with confusion still apparent on its snake face, not understanding what the insect had done to kill its other half. After all, it was one being and not two, so internally, the snake was shaken and mired in unknown feelings.

But that soon changed when its instincts sensed danger, so it ducked low in a hurry as it soon sees Arthur having rushed forward and jumping, trying to impale its head on his spear. The snake then moves his head rapidly to slam it into Arthur's still airborne body, tossing him into the distance, where he slams into the ground, causing an upturn of dust and debris.

The snake then let's loose a flurry of fireballs from within its mouth, letting out the last bits of ember it can muster from its depleting body. The fireballs slam into the area where Arthur crashed, turning the area into an inferno of fire and dust, causing miniature explosions to form.

Yet, Arthur emerges from the smoke, his body slightly charred and hurt as he sprints out directly towards the snake. The snake, with exhaustion and pain starting to overtake it's weakening mind, still finds it in it to move forward to meet Arthur.
