Sirius Black (SI)

A guy was reading A prisoner of Azkaban while walking on a road when out of nowhere he was hit by a truck (It was actually his fault). He thought he had died but when he opened his eyes the first thing he saw was a stag made of lights scaring away a Dementor that was inches away from his face... Ch 15 The Fall Part-2

He already had a lot of magic due to his strong soul and the increase in magical control allowed him to actually use that reservoir of magic that he wasn't able to before—due to his shoddy magical control.

After about 3 weeks of following that routine religiously without taking any breaks, he got a very welcome surprise.

He was just coming out of his regular Enhanced Occlumency session when he noticed that even though he wasn't concentrating or trying to maintain his Occlumency, he still didn't lose his Occlumency shields like he always did.

He was very shocked as he should have been bought out of his Occlumency state immediately due to his exhausted mental strength but he wasn't losing it no matter how long had passed.

After a couple of experiments and various tests, he was able to conclude that he had advanced his occlumency to the next level, Level 3, that according to the Back Grimoire was one of the highest levels achievable just below a Master Occlumens.

"Awesome!"

Level 3 corresponds to an Expert Occlumens, someone who could maintain his Occlumency perpetually and they were even able to somewhat change their memories to avoid incriminating themselves.

And before he could fully process that, another piece of good news made itself known as it turns out his advancement in Occlumency had the welcome effect of increasing his perception. Sirius could now sense where the ward was even in his normal which was what he had been trying to achieve all along.

Sirius guessed that as he was almost in the final part of his training, leveling up just pushed his awareness over the edge. He couldn't wait to throw this at Beth, as the smug tone in which she had bragged about her skills would have made even Draco Malfoy proud.

So the moment Beth arrived back from wherever she went while he was training, he immediately told her the good news, Of course, he was smirking all the way during his explanation. (Sirius kind of understood why Malfoy is the way he is, Bragging just feels too good...)

Obviously, Beth didn't believe him right away after all it was a skill she had earned after years of dangerous expeditions, so she immediately asked to, "Show Me,"

And Sirius did just that, he entered the ward circle and started roaming and moving his hands inside it within inches of the ward without ever touching it.

Beth even altered the ward but the results remained the same as Sirius was still able to sense the ward even though it was a lot fainter this time.

"Did you alter the ward to make it harder?" Sirius asked suspiciously.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Beth replied evadingly, "Anyway, now that you've acquired this skill and are now proficient enough. I think you're entitled to a gift for your hard work,"

She took something out a small wrapped box out of her pocket and handed it to him with an innocent smile.

"What is it?" Sirius asked while taking the red box into his hands. He could sense faint magical energy coming from it which made him even more excited as it could even be a magical gift.

So he opened it hurriedly and the thing that fell out of it was a "Compass! Is it one of those magical compasses that always shows the right path?" Sirius asked with gleaming eyes.

"Oh! No, nothing like that," Beth said airily, "It's just a regular now I once found in a muggle trinket shop,"

"What," Sirius asked disappointedly, "Then what's the point of this?"

"Oh, you'll see the point of it... just about now...," She mumbled before looking at him with a smirk and waving, "Bye Bye,"

Sirius immediately had a sinking feeling in his stomach but before he could throw away the compass, he was suddenly pulled by his navel with a yank.

"NooooOOOO—"

He screamed as he was swept away in a swirl of colors. Turns out that sinking feeling was just the portkey pulling him along.

"I need to teach him not to accept anything a magical hands him without checking it first," Beth mumbled to the empty room, "Thank Merlin! I was able to finish his gift just in time or else he would have gotten cocky with this new skill,"

Misty her house-elf popped into the room and served her tea, "Thank you, Misty," She said before taking a sip, "I wonder how long it'll take him to escape from there... A week... Two weeks... huhuhu... HAHAHA,"

Misty the house elf was terrified of her master's creepy laugh and immediately left the room.
