TRANSFORMED - READY FOR MISSION

"Hello Pkadoo, glory to God, you are awake." Said the doctor.

"Please doctor, don't call me Pkadoo. I am Tabitha. That's the name the Lord calls me. I saw him with my eyes, I saw the Lord." Tabitha spoke faintly.

"Praise the Lord. This is a beautiful testimony. I am glad your saw him.

But I was told your name is Pkadoo."

"That's what the world knew me for, for the past years. That was the name my earthly parents gave me. But now I am Tabitha. The Lord has given me a new name." She answered.

"God be praised." The doctor said, quickly examining her veins.

"O glory, O glory. You are perfectly okay. Your system has regulated speedily and its now running perfectly. Congratulations daughter of the most high. I shall Immediately ordered for your relatives, particularly one Mrs Peter to be phoned so she could come for the signing of your documents, making ready to discharge you."

"Thank you so much doctor, but please, I need to be born again. I want to give my life to the Lord before it is late. Are you are child of God?" Tabitha asked searching passionately with her eyes.

"Yes Tabitha. I am a per time pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and for the matter of fact I am a child of God fully growing in his love, his word and in prayer." Dr. Benald answered.

"Then lead me to Christ sir. I want to be born again before it is late. I don't want to spend a second in this world without surrendering my life to the Lord.

I saw him face to face, but I could not enter into his kingdom because my name was not found in the book of Life. I was dragged by the demons of hell to destruction.

I praise his name that he came to give me a second chance. Please doctor, lead me to the Lord, lead me to the old rugged cross, let me fall into the arms of my savior." She pleaded tearfully.

"It's okay Tabitha, the Lord loves you, hence the reason why he has given you a second chance to live and do the work his has sent you to do.

Are you sure you are ready to give your life to the Lord Jesus and to take him as your personal Lord and savior?" Dr. Benald asked.

"I am more than ready Dr. please do not delay, otherwise I would keep my savior waiting. He had waited for me these years, I don't want him to wait any longer." She pleaded further.

"Please may I have your hands Tabitha." He requested.

Tabitha gave him her hands and he went on his knees, held them and requested that she repeat after him;

"My lord Jesus, I am a sinner, who has acknowledged that you died on the cross for me, went to the grave and resurrected, giving me eternal life. My Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gift of salvation, which I have willingly received. I receive you as my Lord and personal savior, as I invite you to come and be the Lord of my life today.

Thank you for making me a whole new creation to carry out your purpose on earth.

I pledge to follow you, all the days of my life and never to turn back from you, now and forever more, Amen!"

"Hallelujah, congratulations daughter of the most high God. You are now born again. You are now delivered from the cage of darkness. Praise the name of the Lord!"

"Hallelujah!" Tabitha answered on the bed.

"I shall now call for your relatives, Tabitha." Dr. Benald told her.

"What about my daughter? Please do you have any information of her?" She asked.

"You have a daughter?" He asked.

"Yes Dr. The Lord has changed her name too. She is Joy."

"O, joy, that's a beautiful name. I guess she should be in the custody of Mrs Peter and husband. Don't worry, they will soon be here." He told her and asked to be excused briefly.

Moment later, he was back with Mrs Peter and Joy as promised.

"Mommy!!!" Joy ran to her and fell into her arms.

"Mommy, I missed you, you went away from me."

"I was with you my daughter. I fell ill and needed to spend some days in the hospital to get healed." She answered as

Mrs Peter stood at the door watching as the two engaged with the sight beautiful to behold.

"I have some news for you my baby girl." Tabitha informed.

"Tell me mommy, please tell me. What's it mom?" She persistent asked.

"The Lord has given us a new name." She exclaimed.

"New name?" She asked.

"Yes my princess. Your name Yuhwen meant sorrow. The new name the Lord has given you is 'Joy'. So tell me, which one will you choose to answer?" Tabitha asked her little one who without wasting time, answered;

"Mommy please call me 'Joy' I want the name Joy." She quickly answered and fell into the arms of her mother.

"These two, you have left me standing for more than ten minutes.

How are you Kpadoo." She asked after much humor.

"Tabitha, Mrs Peter." Dr. Benald corrected while making his entrance.

"Tabitha?

Who are you referring to Dr? She asked, looking strange.

"The Lord has given her a new name. Remember I told you, she must have encountered the Lord in her state of coma." He said .

"Wow! I didn't thought of that. Mrs Peter responded, taking a seat beside her to sit down.

"I saw the Lord Mommy Vic. Oh, the Lord is merciful. He has shown me mercy. He has redeemed me from all my sins and guilts. My name is now Tabitha. I am no long Kpadoo. Although my parents forsook me because of my waywardness, the Lord has indeed show me mercy.

Please mommy Vic, there is no time to waste. I can't tell you a thing if it can't be about the salvation of your soul. Please, give your life to Jesus. Heaven and hell is real, more real than our existence in this world is. Please mommy vic, you must be born again. Don't wait until the next second." Tabitha pleaded.

"Mommy, I want to be born again too." The little joy called out from behind the bed.

"Oh, that's good my daughter. Come, come over here." She invited.

"Hmm, God must be a God of wonder. My soul has been searching for him this long. I think now is the time I must also make it right with him." Mrs Peter said as she fell upon her knees together with Joy to be led to Christ Jesus.

"She tried searching for Dr Benald but he was our of sight and the door was close for her to ask about him. Wondering what to do, she heard a voice in her spirit that told her to pray for the two and they would be born again.

"Not so sure if she was worth it, she prayed for them and led them in Christ, in the same manner Dr Benald did to her, after which she prayed for them and pronounced them born again.

"Oh, so this is real. I can't believe this is me. I have not for once felt this peace that flooded my heart as you prayed this short prayer. I am so happy. Thank you Pka, o, sorry, Tabitha." Mrs Peter Corrected herself.

"Do not thank me mommy Vic, it's a whole new life the Lord is offering us. All the glory to his holy name." Tabitha admonished.

"Ah, thank you my Jesus. I shall extend this call to my husband too. I have been persuading him to at least attend church but he won't go. I myself have been going but till now, I have been battling with my salvation experience.

I have not felt this way Tabitha, I think I am truly born again." She said not sure of what she was saying.

"You think?

That is the evidence that the holy Spirit has come in to dwell in you. It is the breath of God's spirit upon you, confirming that you are born again." Tabitha explained.

"So you mean I am now born again?" Mrs Peter asked.

"Yes you are mommy Vic. You are now a born again child of God.

Have you not be taught on the message of been born again?" Tabitha asked.

"Not at all. Our pastor has not preached it once, since I started attending church the last three months." She explained.

"Oh, the church must rise again." She responded tearfully.

"Mm, Mrs Peter, I think Tabitha should be left to rest for now. She has been speaking much. She will be going home early morning tomorrow, you can come for her as soon as 9am." Dr Benald opened the door slightly, spoke to them and quickly turned and walked away.

Mrs Peter then assisted Tabitha to eat and afterward, she returned home with joy, to be back the following morning.

Words rightly fail to describe what a fulfilling day it was.

Truly, Tabitha was transformed, afterward, she was not just ready, but began her active service as a soldier in the Lord's army.
