Chapter 4 "The Orcus Labyrinth" Part 2

Chapter 4 "The Orcus Labyrinth" Part 2

Regulus: "So why don't you tell me about you self-"

???: "Wow that was cool how'd you do that? And I Didn't think there were others here. Who are you guys?

Regulus: "... huh."

No fuc&ing way how the hell did he get here so damn fast ahh my brain tremble-

Anyway it doesn't matter i'll just improvise.

Regulus: "Id like to ask you the same question."

???: "My name is Hajime I fell down this labyrinth so yea kinda stuck here. What about you?"

Regulus: "Reg- Regulus Corneas, I am here on some personal business"

[AN: I wrote Regulus Corneas instead of Regulus and only when proof reading realised my mistake lol]

Hajime: "Personall business huh that's strange man but anyway you would happen to know on which floor we are?"

Regulus "Well you are on the 87th floor so its wiser to just finish the labyrinth as a whole well you can join us if you want."

Hajime: "Seriously thanks ill do that then."

——minor time skip Floor 99—-

After passing the stupid flower monster Hajime and Yue were pretty exhausted

[AN: By the way [Lions Heart] is active and is on Yue]

You make a campfire and sit around it and Hajime decides to ask you a few questions.

Hajime: "So who exactly are you people?"

Regulus: "Oh yea forgot about that. Let me formally re-inreduce my self"

For some reason Regulus really enjoyed introducing him self and got into role-playing as regulus corneas so he put a somewhat evil smile not too evil as not to scare Hajime.

Regulus: "I am a Sin Archbishop Of The Witch Cult, Representing the Seven Deadly Sins, Regulus Corneas."

Regulus: "So what about you?"

Hajime: "well long story short"

Starting from the summoning, he retold the tale of how he wound up there. He told Them about how they had been selected as heroes, and how he had been a worthless Synergist with no useful skills, to the labyrinth excursion and his fight with the Behemoth, to his betrayal at the hands of one of his classmates, his descent into hell, how he lost his arm to the Claw Bear, his discovery of the potion, how he started eating monsters, how his knowledge from his original world gave him the idea for his weapon, his rematch with the Claw Bear, and finally his descent through the dungeon until he reached their floor. He talked at length about everything he could remember. And, as his tale wound down, he could hear her sniffling.

Hajime: "What's wrong?"

Hajime asked, the concern evident in his voice. When he glanced back at Yue he saw tears spilling from her eyes. But when he Looked at Regulus He didn't look Surprised at all it was like he was expecting this.

Yue: "Its a sad story"

Regulus: "Yea that's some tough stuff."

Hajime: "Don't worry about it. All that stuff's in the past now. There's no point in getting hung up over it. I don't even really care about my old classmates that much anymore, and I'm not all that interested in getting revenge. All I care about now is polishing my skills, so I can make it out of here alive and find a way to return home."

Regulus: "Hmm if you say you're from another world then there's only one thing that can get you back And knowing what hat is you can give up."

Hajime: "No matter what it is I won't give up I've made up my mind."

Regulus: "You'll have to acquire Ancient Magic and to do that you'll have to finish ALL of the Great Labyrinths and escape the wrath of Ehit the false god."

Yue & Hajime: False God?

{3rd person POV}

The story Regulus told them was completely different from the history Hajime had learned from the Holy Church's records, or the stories Yue had been told about the mavericks. The revelations Regulus had for them shocked them to the core.

His tale was one of mad gods and their descendants who fought against them.

A short time after the Age of the Gods, the world was engulfed in strife. Humans, demons, and even beastmen all fought against each other in a never-ending war. Their reasons were as numerous as their battles. Land, resources, personal values, greed, but most important among them was theology.

In that age, the races and countries were split up into numerous factions, each of which had their own god. And it was each tribe's god that incited its people to fight against those who worshiped others.

After some time, a group appeared that sought to put an end to this centuries-long war. They called themselves the Liberators.

There was only one thing they all had in common. Each member was a direct descendant of one of the gods. Their leader was someone who had, by coincidence, happened to learn of the gods' true intentions. It appeared that the gods were using the various races like pawns, playing a grand game of chess with the world as their board. The leader of the Liberators couldn't stand their sickening disregard for life, and began looking for comrades who felt the same way he did.

After an arduous search, they were able to discover the location of Asgard, the home of the gods. There were seven among the Liberators who were exceptionally powerful, and they were chosen to be the vanguard in the battle against the gods.

However, their plans were foiled before the battle could even begin. The gods manipulated the sentient races and made them believe the Liberators were trying to destroy the world. They were marked as enemies of the gods, and every human, demon, and beastman considered them their mortal foe.

After a great many conspiracies, events, and dramatic encounters,

the Liberators found themselves on the run. They couldn't bring themselves to fight the people they had sworn to protect, but those very people believed they were ungrateful heretics trying

to bring about the end of the world. Their true name was forgotten, and they were known simply as mavericks in the annals of history.

The Liberators were killed off one by one, until only the strongest seven remained. With the entire world against them, they realized they wouldn't be able to defeat the gods. So they scattered to the ends of the earth and built huge labyrinths to hide themselves in. They created a series of trials, praying that someone who could clear them might one day appear, so they could bequeath their powers onto them in hopes that these new warriors would carry out their dreams.

After he finished his long speech, Regulus deactivated [Greed] And breathed in some air. After that activating it again.

Hajime: "Hey By the way Regulus-san why do you fell like a corpse I mean no disrespect but like you feel like your not even alive you don't breathe and I can't sense you with my [Hostile Detection] magic"

Regulus: "Hmm it's an ability of mine."

Hajime: "What does it do exactly?"

Regulus: "Thats a secret"

Hajime: "Ohh well ok"

You then let Yue rest on your shoulder, while giving Hajime a pillow and blanket out of your [Pocket Dimension]

AN: Next time: Chapter 5 "The Orcus Labyrinth" Part 3 (Final)

Ill try and make the fight against the final monster a bit more interesting than Regulus just swinging his hand and killing it (As much as id like to do that) reason for that is that Regulus Wants Hajime to actually become strong and then make him his subordinate and possibly add him to the ranks of the Witch Cult.

AN: Well there you have it nothing much to say so as always I hope you enjoyed reading because I sure enjoyed writing.
