Chapter 14 - Xenoblades Upgrade

Looking through the information at hand, to get into capital of Rimosa Kingdom the Calpheon city will approximately takes Han 3 months by using a mount. And if he didn't rest, using up 24/7, Han can reach Calpheon within half a month to a month. But there no way he can do that, the mount he using need a rest afterall.

There also another problem, the auction is starting at first week of October, and today already 27 august. Han only had a month of time before the auction start. He doesn't know how will he got there in time.

Han even considering to upgrade his both flying relic, he actually gotten another one which was Bat Wings, but Han didn't dare using it up, he might being mistaken as vampires.

Anyway, Han thinking about upgrading both of flying Relics. However, there is a problem, he now not in the wilderness anymore, Han already going inside human territory, flying in the skies seems like too much high profile.

Han doesn't have any courage of being high profile guy, this world was fantasy one afterall. There must be a lot of powerhouse, the fact that beast becomes extinct are because constantly hunting by those powerhouse, in the end, the supply cannot meet the demands.

So Han getting rid of trying to fly on his own.

When Han was thinking about the solution, there something interesting he came across when reading the information.

This piece information came from information broker lady tip actually.

The information said, if Han wanted to participate in the upcoming Heidel Ball (the name of auction event) on October, there is two ways for him to get into Calpheon in a month times.

First using trains, there no exact routes that went directly to the Calpheon, the train will make a turn into another cities. Using a train, Han can get to the Calpheon within 50 days, but if Han can cut off the journey in the middle and keep moving with the mixes of mount, it not impossible for him to reach Calpheon within a month. The second one is to use airship. There a airship on the same nearby cities that having a train. The problems are not just anyone can use airship apparently, the slots of the seats are limited, so it must be given to the 'premium'.

To get inside the airship it is not all about of money, some tycoon merchant aren't necessarily can use airship as he wished.

There are specific requirement for getting into airship, must be an official and they also must send the request months of weeks beforehand' depending on their rank. Noble, any noble are eligible to use airship, it stated that a 'Real' noble, so the vassals like House of Knight aren't eligible under normal circumstances.

Some special merchant groups, individual with the special permit, and so on.

Locals black market actually selling the ticket sometimes, of course the price will multiple by dozen of times, this kind of business also initialled by the airship itself, it didn't came from 2nd hand so it trustworthy. But sometimes, people will be take a advantage of and being scammed by some people every so often.

Han getting out from the town after done reading through all the information. He went into wilderness again and setting up the tent he bought from the town, he didn't feels like to use his normal fancy tent at the moment.

Han are still near the town afterall, he might bumped into someone 'accidentally'.

He make a food and wanted to try if he can use dimension travel during the day. Now was 12 a clock, if he can use dimension travel, he will wakes up at 8 night.

It is little bit strange to sleep in the middle of the day, but fortunately, there are dark clouds being gathered above his head, so at least he can make excuses.

Han actually wasn't sure as why he needed to sleep in the wilderness instead of just going to the inn.

Just as he cooking the food, the water droplets finally started to falling down. And just as he guessed, someone 'pry a visit'. Fortunately for Han, he already setting up the barrier. It is a cheap tricks that came from relic, the relic can make a illusion on specific area, the illusion are distorting other senses, if one walked into area that being covered by the illusion, they will appear at the same spot where they came from.

It similar to trying to walk into straight line but ended up walking into a circle instead.

Han get inside the tent and sleep, the sounds of rain can make he sleep quickly, there no thunderstorm or anything, just calm sounds of rain.

And just as fell into deep sleep, Han opened his eyes and appear on different location.

Han appear standing on barren unknown wasteland, the sun was still hanging high in the skies above his head. but again, the temperature that should be hot getting chilly instead.

Han doesn't know what wrong inside this dimensions, if this was game, the game developer seems put the wrong code on the temperature.

There also the fact that Han never once seeing the night here, if he logged in during the day the logic should be Han appear at the night, since everytime he logged in at night was always day. But it seems that his guess was wrong, it is will always be daytime everytime someone get inside, now he getting curious about night time.

But he only curious, Han still doesn't have any courage to spent overnight inside the Dimension travel, the system warning are being put there with a reason, maybe if Han was getting stronger will he trying it out.

During the seven days, there also the fact that inside the dimensions travel, one cannot levelled up, but the monster Han encountered are getting stronger.

This is really interesting game settings if this was a 'game'. People can bring anything from inside the game into the reality, but no matter how hard you trying to get 'levelling' up inside the game, your levels won't increase, but one 'probably' didn't die for real inside the game.

While in reality, you can also brought stuff from real world to inside the game, levelling up also only possible at the real world. But, there is no way back when someone dies in real world.

Han takes off from the ground, with the three different relic, he now can flying all day during his time stay at dimension travel.

Han already upgraded his three flying relic, the mana consumption from [White Feather] are decreasing, while also slightly expanded at the same time. There also a new mode 'acceleration 1' just as the name goes, the speed of flying can receive sudden boost like a car using turbo or NOS for short period of time, it can be hold actually, but the Mana consumption will multiply by leaps bound. And the speed of flying will reach Mach 1.

The upgrade on [Ilalloi] much more variated, the thread number increased little bit, lessened the mana consumption, and there also new abilities that can allow one to make thread out of thin air, no need for the thread only being generated from the relic anymore. But of course, it is having limitations on its own, the range cannot exceed the relic territory coverage.

As for [Bat Wing] it is can being manipulated as a weapon to attack, the wing will turned into dual limb that made of a spear.

Han actually tried to upgrade the relic more, but unfortunately he can't. It is not like he can't upgrade the relic further, in fact Han had one of his Relic being upgraded two times, which was his longsword.

But it feels like there another requirements other than using another relic as upgrading material, unfortunately the system didn't leave any clues. So Han all can do is just use what he got, he needed to take a thing slow anyway.

After xenoblades received two upgrade, the description finally showed a change.

Longsword

Xenoblades was unknown unique nature creation, Xenoblades name consisted of two different words which was 'xeno' and 'blades', a 'xeno' had a meaning in the ancient words as 'Forms'.

Abilities 1 – Nature Creation, everything that created by nature can use and gather power of nature freely.

Abilities 2 – Flowing like a wind, every attack being made are perfectly merging with the wind, it seemed like the wind are attacking.

Abilities 3 (new) – Haste, received boost on every aspect such as attack speed, reaction speed, agility, movement speed for period of times. Cooldown 1 hours

Abilities 4 (new) – Blade Arc, can create eclipse like attack that made from pure energy or any nature elements. Instantaneous cooldown.

Abilities 5 (new) – Blade Forms, can switch between blade forms and dual blades forms. Cooldown 1 second

Nature creation are abilities that every relic created by nature/world had, nature power that being referred are Mana, so they can store up mana, generates their own mana.

Haste was new abilities that the relic get after performing one upgrades.

Only Blade Arc and blade forms are coming from second upgrade.

After flying for five hours without rest, Han finally able to see silhouette of city far away in the distance.

It is all because of Han new skills [Hawkeye] that Han can see the silhouette.

Han didn't go directly to the city, he stopped at his current position and rested up.

Han wasn't sure what happened ages ago, but it more likely that the city in the distance also fallen cities. And inside will be lot of monster roams around.

Han doesn't know how strong the monster there, while on the roads, the monster are getting stronger and stronger. And today, he skipped five hours flying high in the skies, Han didn't have much chance encountered strong monster.

He wanted to take a look at monster in the surrounding area first, and see what their levels are.

After 2 hours of hunting, the monster are still undead like zombies most of time. But there are new monster like undead skeleton, there also finally alive monster amongst those undead lifeforms.

The whole land didn't feel 'dead' anymore, Han even guessed that the entire world might be just filled with the undead creatures, and he being brought to the dead land or tombstone planet.

This alive lifeforms are animals, bugs and insect, and lastly, Han meet his old 'acquaintance', the Goblins.

These basic goblin that are hunting had basic level of 8. Average monster also already above lvl7, and this was only tiny portion of the area.

Most of monster are probably at lvl10, while average around lvl12 or lvl13.

So it is really made sense for Han to not get closer to the cities yet, it is not like Han doesn't have the abilities to fight the monster, just that the monster inside the cities are definitely not scattered around like in the wilderness,

Fighting one or two monster are still okay for Han, even if monster are lvl15, he was sure can take it down on 1v1 fight. But fighting multiple enemies are out of the question, it is just seeking death, even if Han can escape by flying. But Han cannot always depending on his flying relic, those aren't Han real ability afterall.
