When you're at the beach with your boyfriend, particularly if he happens to be a son of Poseidon, anticipate getting soaked. It began with Annabeth playfully dousing Percy while he was unwinding. Startled, Percy sprang up, catching sight of her before swiftly scooping her up and darting off. As Annabeth found herself hoisted over his shoulder, she couldn't help but shriek and laugh, pleading for him to release her.

Although he eventually set her down, it was right into the water. Chuckling, she retaliated with a splash, and he promptly returned the favor, both reveling in the playful exchange. Annabeth couldn't help but be surprised that he didn't manipulate the water to his advantage, but she decided not to mention it. Before she knew it, she was thoroughly drenched, cradled in Percy Jackson's arms as he dipped her, letting her hair touch the water."Now, I'll ask again," Percy adopted a mock detective tone. "Why did you do that?"Not telling," Annabeth replied mischievously, scooping up water and playfully splashing him. However, her action caused him to lose his grip, and she tumbled into the water with a small splash, erupting into laughter.

Regaining composure after the unexpected splash, Percy dashed toward her, signaling payback was imminent. Annabeth, realizing his intentions, giggled and darted through the water, but Percy swiftly caught up. His arms enveloped her, pivoting her to face him, his gaze meeting hers as he towered slightly over her. With a smile playing on his lips, he dipped her once more, this time sealing the gesture with a kiss. Responding in kind, Annabeth wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Breaking the kiss, Percy leaned his forehead against hers, supporting her weight as she remained dipped in his arms. Their eyes locked, Percy's captivating sea-green gaze meeting Annabeth's stormy gray. "I love you, Annabeth Chase," Percy whispered, prompting a radiant smile to spread across her face."I love you too, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth replied affectionately, her hand tenderly brushing his hair away from his eyes.
