Ezra's journey of self-discovery leads him to River's Edge Academy, where he meets Seraphina, Ember's sister, and Kian, a fellow conduit. Under Seraphina's mentorship, Ezra learns about the delicate balance of resonance and flux, and the dangers of allowing his past traumas to influence his powers.
As he delves deeper into the world of conduits, Ezra encounters a realm that exists parallel to his own—a place where conduits have lived openly for centuries, known as the Incarnate Phenomenon. Here, Ezra must confront his painful past and learn to either forgive and heal or risk being consumed by his own abilities.
