Investigating Penny

A few days went on with our work. Sarah was like a little bee, managing all the work including making food and looking after me while doing her design work.

"Hi, Alex, What's up?" I called.

"Everything going on ok.. I'll be crashing in the evening,"

"Is Ms.Tomboy coming too?"

"No, she has a night schedule. And tell Little Bud not to cook,"

"Oh, you are going to treat us tonight,"

"Yes, dude, and I got some news to tell you, but not over the phone,"

"Ok,"

I went to look for Sarah. Who was curled up on the sofa, checking out some documents,

"Honey,"

"Hmm," She looked cute with the pencil stuck on her ear.

"The Nutmeg is coming in the evening and told not to make dinner,"

"HUH!!" she looked at me,. "Why, is he going to stuff us with snacks again?"

"I don't know, we'll see what he's up to," I remember how he bought the whole store full of snacks one time.

The day went quickly. As I and Sarah was absorbed in some design,

"I bought DINNER!!!!!!!!!!!" Alex came in pushing the doors loudly.

"ALEX!!!!" I screamed in the same tone he did.

"Sorry dear, I hope I didn't scare you," he said patting her head.

"Nope, I am used to you," she said smiling.

"My good girl, not like the Ms.Tomboy who screams back,"

"So what store did you buy today?" I asked looking at the amount of bags he had bought.

"AHMM... KFC. But I couldn't buy the store for your information,"

As I heard a knock on my door, "Come in,"

"Sir," Markus entered.

"HI, buddy, I bought food for everyone. Hmm..... you can take this set for your team," he said handing over two-thirds of the bags he bought to Markus.

"Thank you, sir,"

"Come back after giving them, we need to have a talk," Alex said in a serious tone.

So something was up, I don't know what is it about, Liam, Ms.Wang, or Penny.

After dinner, I asked Sarah to go to bed. We settled down in my office to listen to what Alex had to inform us.

"Ok guys," with a serious tone and handed over some documents and opened up a video.

"The document contains the detailed call log of Penny and surprise surprise, guess who contacts her?" he said,

"Liam?" said Markus.

"Nope, Ms.Wang,"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean Penny keeps in touch with Ms.Wang, and Ms.Wang could be the connection between Liam and her," and played the video.

"This video was captured a few days before your vacation. At the central mall car park."

The video shows Penny meeting someone and talking about something for a while. After she received some packages, she left the spot. Agin on the same day evening, she was seen meeting with a paparazzi and handing over some documents and the same package she got earlier.

I looked at Alex, with confusion.

"This was the day after you announce you were married at the press conference with Ms.Wang."

"So these call logs are from that day?" asked Markus.

"Yes, can you figure out the connection,"

We checked the video times and the call log. Everything seems to tally pretty well. So this was a planned attack.

"So she has been spying on us?" said Markus.

"you guys wait for a surprise," I said and got the secret camera recordings of Penny going and doing stuff in Sarah's room. She seems to be looking for something.

"When did you do this?" asked Alex.

"I don't know a few weeks back. I felt like she was being nosy around stuff of Sarah. So I added some secret cameras in her room that only I can detect,"

"Do you have any idea, what she might be looking for?" asked Markus.

"I think Penny must be looking for design drafts or a clue to a proof, she is my mistress,"

A call came through to Markus regarding some news for our search.

"Sir, they have found and questioned the paparazzi that penny met."

"Hmm,"

"He had said the photos that were posted and the details were given by Ms. Penny, and the money was provided by her associate,"

"Do we know who is it?" I asked.

"Hmm.. yes, it's Ms. Wang,"

We need a plan as we need to catch them in the act. If not we might not be able to get any information from them. Luckily Markus has made arrangements with the paparazzi caught to pass us any information he gets.

"How are we going to capture them?" asked Alex.

"We need a foolproof plan. And they seem to monitor our every move," I said. "But what could be the motive behind all this, I cannot figure it out,"

"Same here.I know all these attacks don't have anything to do with the projects in a big way," said Alex.

"Could it be that someone wants to tarnish your image sir," Markus looked at us with this could be the reason.

"But who could it be, I have never had any enemies that I know of.,"

"OH, may be someone was having a hard time expecting you are married"

"NO that can't be.."
