A bit of Jealousy - Alex POV

I am getting really worried about Sarah. If everyone knew who she really is no one would try to harm her. But then again there's Liam's character, who is like a ghost appearing and disappearing from time to time.

It was last night Ben wanted to meet me after Sarah had gone to bed.

"Alex, check these drawings and the model,"

What I saw was stunning, but,

"Ben, which project is this?"

"The secret plan I made for the Brianestone Project for the bidding"

"Well didn't Anthony and them make one, which you had already approved?" I asked him confused.

"Oh.. you love sick baby, did you forget I told you that I will make a secret plan,"

"AHHHHH.... sorry lord, yee know me was busy proposing,"

We laughed and talked for a while and finished off the presentation for the bidding.

"So this is the plan," I said looking at Ben.

"Yes. And I am sure someone is going to use our first design,"

"But Ben, you and Little Bud will be the focus on the day if this goes on,"

"Hmm... we will let Diamond (Sarah's hidden identity) take the place,"

"Ok," I said finishing off the final part of the presentation.

"Alex, did you find out about Stacy?"

"She had been working with us for a few years and she had issues before with her team,"

"Hmm..."

"Seems like she is one of those people who like to meddle into others' life,"

"Then why was she seen taking shots of the plan?"

"I still don't have a clue too. But my team is into it,"

"All these don't seem to add up to why she lashed out on Sarah," said Ben with a concerned look.

I agree with him. Everyone in the office knows about our close connections, and no one had an issue with it so far. But what motivated Stacy to say something like that is way beyond my imagination.

"But Ben, I have to tell you, people will talk about Diamond after this presentation. I mean look at this concept, it totally screams you two all over," I had to admit that the world knows their design synchronization was unbeatable.

While Ben went to check on Sarah, I talked with Meg who was on the night shift today.

"Pulling a night off with Ben?" asked Meg who was on a break.

"Yes, Ms. Tomboy, and how are you?"

"Did a bit of stitching and prescribing pain meds,"

"You know what happened today right?" I asked her.

"hmm... I saw your men at the hospital and they told me. How is she?"

"Seems ok. But after the bidding proposal, we will have to keep an eye on her,"

"So their design is that impressive?"

"Yes. I mean, their work together is something on a new level,"

"Have to admit that, they were the top in class, and Alex, even those days, their teamwork was on another level, "

"Hmm..."

"So what about this Stacy character?" asked Meg.

"Still no clue, but I guess she was just jealous as we all hang out together a lot,"

And before we can talk more, she was called for an emergency operation. So I got back to fine-tune the presentation at hand till Ben comes back.

"Alex, have some coffee,"

"Thanks, Ben. Just check this out and see if you need any changes,"

After a while, we finished off the work and got everything ready for Friday.

"Hmmm.... All done. Now let's wait to find the copycat,"

"Alex, I m thinking of giving everyone a week's break after this,"

"Huh, why?"

"Everyone has gone through a lot, so I guess some well-desereved break will be good,"

"Did you talk with your father?"

"Not yet, but I wanted to know your thoughts," said Ben.

"We will have to get some new trainees for the finance department," I said with concern.

"Why suddenly?"

"Stacy worked at the finance department and she had a few helping her. And I also found that she had been asking for commissions from our suppliers,"

"Robert had caught it beforehand but he was waiting to find evidence, to let you know,"

"But I mean why does she do that? She could have simply asked us,"

That's what I thought so too. Even though we are the bosses, we do take care of our employees pretty well. The same way our fathers did.

"I just simply think that Stacy was jealous of Sarah," I said looking at Ben.

"But there is nothing to be jealous of her. And they don't know what she had gone through, but how lucky they are without this chaos in their lives,"

He was indeed worried about Sarah. But we have to be prepared for the upcoming roar of Diamond. Are we going to expose who is Diamond? Will anyone believe that this quiet girl is Diamond? I had many thoughts in my head, but what was more alarming was keeping all her stories intact without revealing them before finding the truth behind all this happening now.

Well, this Friday is the day to find out some of the truths, that we were waiting for.

The next day we had Stacy under police investigation for embezzling company money. We didn't press charges against harassment to Sarah as this would reach the media and they will start making unnecessary headlines, that might harm the investigations.

We had the next few days busy with the presentation with a few new projects and had the meetings scheduled a week after. As planned we are going to give everyone a week of paid leave to refresh and relax.

The shocking discovery was, that Stacy has almost embezzled about one million for the past two years. It seems she had been a pampered girl by her rich father who did underlying things to show off his wealth. But in truth, he wasn't after going bankrupt three years ago. So to show off Stacy started doing her father's dirty tricks.

I felt sorry for her actually. She would have come to us if she had issues and we could have helped her in some way. But I am happy we caught her before something big happened.
