Chapter 93: I Know

[Kaede POV]

We finally arrived at the evacuation zone as we looked at the destruction in the city. Suddenly, we received an emergency contact from Endeavour, informing us that Tomura was coming this way!

The sound of the battle can be heard from Endeavour's radio, and we all hear Tomura saying the word One For All. I was pretty surprised, but I quickly hid my shock and observed my friends' reactions. All my classmates were confused by the term except for Midoriya.

Midoriya was acting extremely nervous as he stared at his hands. The nervous expression soon disappeared as determination replaced his scared look. Without saying a word, he immediately dashes away with full cowling. Bakugo also followed after him when he realised what was going on.

"Deku-kun?!" Ochako yelled out in panic.

"I will lead Tomura away!" Midoriya shouted before disappearing around the corner.

Burnin ordered Midoriya and Bakugo to return immediately, but she clicked her teeth in frustration, telling us that they had turned off their earpiece.

I clenched my fist; from the sounds of Endeavour's battle through the radio, it was evident that Tomura was much stronger than before. Midoriya and Bakugo won't be able to beat him, and if Tomura gets his hands on One for All, he will be stronger than ever.

I sighed and decided on my next actions: "Burnin-san, I will go after Midoriya-kun and Bakugo-kun!"

"I will go as well," Shoto said, and I nodded.

"Huh, wait..." Burnin yelled as Shoto jumped onto Susanoo's shoulder and before she could stop us, I jumped into the air and extended my wings as we flew after our friends.

On our way, I heard Endeavour's voice through my earpiece: "Kaede, Shoto, both of you need to get back to the evacuation site!" He urged.

"Sorry, Mr Todoroki, I don't have time to explain, but if Midoriya-kun got captured, it would be all over for us," I responded and soared through the ruined city.

Endeavour sighed: "Very well, I will try to cover for you two while you bring the two back..... Stay Safe...."

Shoto and I smiled and I increased my speed; during the flight, I paid closer attention to the ruins, the decay was still expanding. The speeds of the decay were faster as we went deeper into the city. Shoto and I eventually located Midoriya and Bakugo, but...

Tomura was there too.....

[3rd POV]

"Give me One For All," Tomura demanded.

The villain finally caught up with Izuku and Katsuki as he appeared in front of the two students in the air and held out his hand. Izuku and Katsuki suddenly froze as they received hallucinations of their death as Tomura exerted his killing intent on them.

Suddenly, a lightning bolt appeared out of nowhere, striking Tomura. Kaede and Shoto arrived as she grabbed Katsuki and Izkuku with her Susanoo. Shoto encased Tomura with ice as the lightning ended, and Kaede kicked the villain in the chest.

Tomura was sent crashing into a distant building as Kaede quickly flew away. Kaede and Shoto pass Endeavour and multiple other heroes as they tell the students that they will keep Tomura busy.

Suddenly, dozens of nomu burst out of a nearby apartment and climbed onto the Susanoo. Kaede was caught off-guard as she tried to shake them off. One of the nomu vomited some sticky mucus onto Susanoo's back. The strange liquid immediately hardened as Kaede lost the ability to fly.

The Susanoo crashed into an empty parking lot, destroying half of the building. Kaede tried to flap her wings, however, it was completely frozen. Thankfully, no one has hurt as Kaede shielded everyone from the collision. Immediately, the nomu crawled through the gaping hole made by the Susanoo and surrounded the heroes.

[Kaede POV]

The monsters snarled at us as we glared at each other warily. I glanced at my friends and they nodded. No words were needed as we instantly sprang into action. Bakugo and Midoriya jumped off of the Susanoo as Shoto remained by my side as support. The frozen mucus restricted my agility, and the Susanoo's movements became clanky and rigid like a rusted robot.

The twelve nomu roared as they rushed towards us without fear. Each nomu looked differently and they don't have the same vibe as those high-ends I fought in the past. However, I could tell that all of them were made to unleash as much damage on a human as possible. I cast dozens of lightning arrows as the projectiles hit the nomu's knees, slowing them down.

One of the nomu pounced with its sharp claws and I caught it in Susanoo's grasp. I clenched my fist as the nomu was crushed. I threw the corpse away and continued the battle.

Two high ends ran toward my direction; Shoto stopped one's movement with his fire as I focused on the second nomu. The creature's arm turned into blades as it swung its arm. The edge dug into Susanoo's wrist and the nomu latched on like a parasite. I smashed my arm against the cement wall and the nomu was flattened like a used-up toothpaste.

Shoto extinguished the flame wall, and the nomu he was holding off rushed towards me, but it was immediately met with my chakra spear. The spear impaled the nomu as it gurgled before dying.

I observed the battlefield, looking for more enemies, but none remained. The fight ended faster than I expected; there were the other bodies of the nomu, some with its body caved in from Midoriya's strength, charred by Bakugo's explosion and pierced with Shoto's ice.

I turned to face Midoriya and Bakugo: "What do you think you two were doing!?"

"Tomura was coming after me; I was only trying to lead him away, so don't stop me," Midoriya responded as he walked away.

However, I blocked the entrance: "Midoriya-kun, you almost died back there if Shoto and I hadn't saved you two in time who knows what would happened?!" I argued.

"I'm sorry, but I promise I will explain everything, so let us go," Midoriya answered with determination in his eyes. Bakugo and Midoriya moved past me, ready to leave the parking lot.

I sighed loudly and pinched the bridge of my nose: "I know about One For All...."

Midoriya and Bakugo froze as they stared at me with shock: "What?" x2
