Chapter 107 AFO Round 2 (2)
[Kaede POV]
'This is bad, real bad!' I thought to myself and barely dodged AFO's fists.
Shoto supported me with his flames but AFO flicked it away like it was nothing. His speed has become much faster to the point that even I have trouble keeping up. AFO's attack style changed dramatically as if the man before me had changed into a violent animal. He has no regard for his own body and his regeneration rate's plain absurd!
"Shinra Tensei!"
BOOM
AFO was sent sprawling away and his body crashed into the distant forest. I summoned my Susanoo as Shoto and I soared into the air towards our opponent. We spotted AFO standing in the middle of a crater as he chuckled: "Heh heh, that stings...." He joked.
I plummeted from the sky while Shoto launched his cold fire at the villain. The projectiles exploded on AFO's body and his grin became wider. He tensed his leg muscles and leapt towards us. His hands stretched out wide ready to tackle us out of the air.
Shoto and I used all our long-range attacks and the sky was littered with explosions. We waited warily while the smoke obscured our vision. Suddenly AFO burst through the clouds and he wrapped his arms around the neck of my Susanoo.
AFO kneed Susanoo in the chest and my chest plate fractured from the damage. He placed his hand on my Susanoo as it began to show signs of decay. I grabbed Shoto and threw him above me as I hugged the villain tightly. With AFO in my arms, I spiral-dived straight down into the earth.
AFO and I crashed into the ground as the island rumbled from the shockwave. However, I knew that it wasn't enough. I held my hand in the air, my Rinnegan spins rapidly and a black sphere formed between my fingers.
"Chibaku Tensei!" I shouted.
The black orb began to suck up the rocks and debris from our battle. All the debris created a massive meteor and I held the boulder with my Susanoo. Shoto jumped onto Susanoo's shoulder and placed his palm on the boulder. The meteor grew in size as ice covered the rock and coated it with spikes.
Shoto and I: "Combination Move, Ice Glacier Meteor!"
I slammed the giant ball of ice and rock on the villain, and a large amount of wind burst out of the holes in AFO's palms as he struggled. It became a competition of strength and we pushed against the boulder.
I gritted my teeth and with all my might, I smashed the meteor on AFO's body, creating an enormous eruption. The blast radius was so large I wouldn't be surprised the island hadn't been split in half yet, luckily it didn't.
My Susanoo was destroyed and we were swept off our feet by the shockwave. We looked at each other with disbelief: "Woah..." I muttered with disbelief.
The aftermath looked like the work of a nuclear bomb as nothing within a 5 km radius was destroyed into nothingness: "We got him this time right?" Shoto asked but I could sense the doubt in his voice.
Suddenly we heard laughter from the centre of the explosion. The smoke disappeared revealing AFO. His body was extremely disfigured and we could see some bones broken out of his skin. However, despite all that damage, his injury healed at a rapid pace.
He grinned: "Do you think that's enough? I'm unstoppa....."
The villain's speech was interrupted and he was struck by a face full of acid. The acidic liquid burned his skin and AFO angrily shook it off.
"Sorry, we're late, Kaede-chan!" Mina said as the heroes finally arrived on the scene.
"Took you long enough..." I sighed before smiling.
Mina chuckled apologetically: "We noticed the giant explosion and came here immediately but there's some roadblock on the way."
"Where's Bakguo, Midoriya and Uraraka?" Shoto asked and remembered watching them get teleported as well."
"Don't worry we're here!" Midoriya called out and appeared next to Shoto, "We managed to group up with the other heroes earlier."
Shoto nodded and he visibly relaxed.
"Kaede are you alright!" Itachi-onii-chan landed beside me with a face full of concern. He hurriedly spun my body around and he checked for injuries.
He sighed with relief knowing that I was safe, I then quickly ran a quick recap of what happened as Onii-chan's expression darkened: "I see..."
"Everyone, attack all together!" I ordered the other heroes as they nodded in response.
"Let's kill this bastard!" Bakugo declared shamelessly.
"Kill me?" Hearing what Bakugo said, AFO was enraged: "BRING IT ON." He roared and the heroes unitedly bombarded AFO with their strongest attacks:
"AMERATSU!"
"PROMINENCE BURN!"
"HEAVEN-PIERCING ICE WALL!"
"KIRIN!"
Colourful lasers, explosions and projectiles hit AFO from all directions. So much so that AFO's absurd regeneration speed wasn't fast enough. His mind could no longer handle the pain as it was driving the villain into madness
"MERE INSECTS!" He bellowed.
AFO's body seemed to begin to mutate and expand as hundreds of flesh tendrils shot out from his back. Each tendril has a bone barb at the end and the spikes have the power of decay as the appendages are slashed and stabbed indiscriminately. Many heroes were struck by the elongated limbs but thankfully they managed to avoid being stabbed by the decaying spikes.
"What do we do!?" Ochako yelled in panic as she barely escaped the tentacles coming after her.
I gritted my teeth and slashed dozens of tendrils with a single swing. However, it was useless as with each limb destroyed, a new one replaced the old.
"Create a path for me!" I yelled back to the heroes, it was time to put our original plan to fruition, "Midoriya-kun, it's now or never!"
Midoriya nodded and charged. Shoto was also following close behind and he froze any spiked tentacles in our path. With the other heroes' help, the three of us were gaining ground and we closed in on AFO by the second.
AFO must have realised what was happening as suddenly all the tendrils seemed to diverge on us and they lunged at the same time. My eyes widened with shock as I was at a loss, Shoto and Midoriya were too far away for me to simultaneously grab them and escape using Kamui.
I gritted my teeth: 'Not like this!'
"RED RIOT UNBREAKABLE!" Suddenly, a familiar voice shouted as Kirishima appeared before us.
His body became hard, and he gained a monstrous appearance. Kirishima crossed his arms and blocked AFO's onslaught. There's a loud grinding sound could be heard when the tendrils tried to pierce into Kirishima's body.
He wrestled against all the appendages and held them in place: "I won't let my friends get hurt! NOW KAMINARI!" He screamed.
"Indiscriminate Shock 2 Million Volts!" Kaminari announced and a huge amount of electricity fired out of his body, burning the tendrils to a crisp, "Heh heh we got this..." He said with a stupid expression and gave us a weak thumbs up.
"Meteor Fafrotskies!" x2 Ochako and Asui yelled in unison.
Hundreds of debris crashed down from the sky and travelled at the speed of a bullet. They smashed into AFO and his limbs, puncturing them with holes: "We will make a path!" Ochako said with confidence.
"HOWITZER IMPACT!" Bakugo roared and the remaining tendrils exploded: "Keep running!"
"Kachan..." Midoriya mumbled,
"Huh?!" A tick mark formed on Bakugo's forehead as he dodged a tendril aiming for his chest: What are you waiting for damn it?! GO!!!!!"
Midoriya, Shoto and I glanced at each other as we nodded. The three of us rushed towards AFO at a greater speed than before. Our classmates were fearlessly following along as they made a safe passage for us.
"Class A, protect Uchiha, Midoriya and Todoroki!" Yaoyorozu ordered.
Mina: "ACID SHOT! You got this Kaede-chan!!!"
Jiro: "HEARTBEAT DISTORTION!! We will keep you safe!"
Tokoyami: "BLACK FALLEN ANGEL! I won't let my friends get hurt!"
"You guys...." I was touched by my friend's effort.
My friends counter-attacked with their super moves as they bravely fought against the tendrils. As the distance between us and the villain began to decrease, under the hundreds of flying limbs, we eventually spotted the berserker state of AFO.
He glared at us with bloodshot eyes and let out an animalistic howl: "Die!"
AFO swung his fists like a hammer, however, Iida rushed from behind: "Recipro Turbo!" His speed became insanely fast and he kicked AFO's elbow.
I heard a loud snapping sound as the villain's arm bent at an abnormal angle. Iida glanced at us: "Let's win!!" He shouted with conviction.
Using this opportunity, a Chakra Rod manifested in my palm as I appeared before the villain: "Take this!" I screamed and plunged my Chakra Rod deep into AFO's chest.
I took Midoriya and Shoto by the hand as I began to pump as much Chakra as possible into AFO's body. My mind started to waver and my vision dampened as we successfully entered AFO's subconsciousness...
