"17/34 not bad. You were at least able to shoot fifty percent with using the official time that they use in an actual three point contest." Jordan said shutting off his timer which he took out.

Carl was just impressed that the club had actual racks for them to use for that shoot out, then again the place was crazy expensive so he should have figured out that they could have done it this way. The only thing they did need to keep track of though was the money balls, they didn't have any special balls to indicate them so Kassidi was in charge of that while Jordan counted the shouts.

Kassidi was happy to help him, plus she had been cheering for him the entire time which made him smile.

"Well that's good at least, I was honestly expecting to do a lot worse. Though my arms still aren't really cut out for this, I had to put more power into those shots just so they would make it from this distance." Carl said while rotating his arm.

The hoops weren't altered so they were still playing on what older people would be shooting at, it was harder for them to get the shots up but they both believed it better for them as it helped their shot get better.

Kassidi rushed to his side hearing him complain about his arms, she began her massage again while smiling at him, she really was to adorable.

Jordan rolled his eyes seeing that, "So hey, want to sleep over this weekend?"

Carl was shocked, he didn't expect this at all, sure Jordan and Kassidi were his only friends here but he thought they would need to hang out more before he got an invitation like this. He was happy about it though, it made him believe that they were growing closer, despite their social differences maybe Jordan really did see him as a true friend.

Jordan looked away embarrassed seeing as it took Carl so long to answer, "I just thought maybe you wanted to go to a home game and see my dad play tomorrow. It would be easier if you stayed over rather then us picking you up."

Carl grinned as he knew he was just embarrassed, "That sounds awesome man. Let me just ask my sister for permission first, if she says yes then I am all for it."

"Cool, or whatever." Jordan said trying to go for nonchalant but the smile on his face betrayed that.

Carl walked over to where they had set their phones at, he ignored the message from Sophia at the moment since it wasn't to important, they had decided to start making their first video someday after school in the coming week. What had surprised him was that their music video actually had over five hundred views, which wasn't much but way more then what he expected.

Calling Fiona the phone only rang for a moment before it was answered, "Is something wrong Carl?" She asked hurried.

He couldn't fault her for wondering that, Carl wasn't really someone who talked over the phone honestly, he was the type of person to send you a text as he didn't do the hassle of missed calls. Though that didn't apply to Kassidi who seemed to love calling him more then texting, or face timing him really.

"No everything is fine. My friend Jordan was wondering if I could sleep over this weekend though." He said it was a three day weekend so he didn't think she would mind really.

The was a short pause, "..You want to have a sleepover with someone?" She asked sounding bewildered.

Again he could only sigh, Carl's old personality made it truly weird for him to ask something like this, but again that was the old him, "Yes. I will be home Monday afternoon too."

"That's fine. Have his parents call me if there is a problem though." She said her voice noticably more happy as their conversation ended.

Carl gave a positive answer before he turned to Jordan who was also on the phone, he looked embarrassed as he talked to his mom but eventually hung up the phone on a sigh, "My mom said it was fine if you stayed. She told me to use the driver to go get you some clothes from home."

Carl hadn't thought of that, but nodded along.

"Hey! What about me?" Kassidi asked hands on her hips pouting adorably as she looked at the both of them.

"What about you? We are both boys, you are a girl you can't come to our sleep over!" Jordan said glaring at the girl, Carl gave her a lot of leeway but he wouldn't be doing that.

Kassidi growled and pouted as she turned to Carl, "Carl!" She whined giving him a big case of puppy dog eyes, she even had tears in her eyes making the blue that more intense.

"Well maybe--" Carl started his resolve breaking as he saw the look on her face.

"Oh no you don't!" Jordan said blocking his view from said girl, "You can not sleepover! It is my house and Carl has no say in this, plus my mom wouldn't allow it at all."

Kassidi and him had a stand off and all Carl could do was whistle looking to the side, it was true he was about to give into her again but Jordan was right, it was his house Carl had no say. She would just have to accept that fact.

"And another thing..." Jordan said ranting at her as she was giving him the same treatment.

Carl sighed shaking his head he moved around Jordan and hugged the red faced glaring Kassidi, "Enough Kassidi, Jordan is right. It might suck but that is just how it is, we are having a boys sleepover so you can't come. You can call me later to talk though."

Kassidi calmed down a lot as he held her in his arms, she did take some sniffs of him too as her face was his chest, the top of her head ended right below his nose so she was perfect height, "Fine, but I want to FaceTime for at least an hour." She said.

"Thirty minutes." Jordan countered before Carl could even answer.

"Two hours!" She glared at the kid not leaving Carl's embrace.

"Five minutes!" He glared right back.

Why was Carl feeling like a kid who was having his divorcing parents fighting over him?

"Guys! Please stop it. Kassidi we can FaceTime for thirty minutes, Jordan asked for this sleepover so me and him should be hanging out. We can always talk again tomorrow too." Carl got between the two again not wanting to hear more yelling.

She pouted but nodded not wanting Carl to be mad at her, "Fine."

Jordan smiled triumphantly and Carl really wished at that moment he could truly have the mind of a kid again, it was a struggle to deal with their emotions like this all the time. At the same time though he found it funny to see them fighting like this, it was really different compared to adult problems that were more then just who their best friends were.

"Are we leaving now?" Carl asked getting out of his head as he saw Jordan picking up his duffle bag that he had been carrying earlier.

"Yeah, my mom wants us back earlier today since she wants to meet you more formally." He explained while shouldering his bag.

Carl nodded but noticed that Kassidi held him a little tighter, "It's alright Kassidi, Jordan said you could only call for thirty minutes. He said nothing about you texting me when we leave here."

A bright smile took over her face as she nodded, she stuck her tongue out at Jordan who rolled his eyes, he just wanted to hurry and hang out alone with Carl tired of the crazy girl. Carl didn't say anything but followed him out, he did need to change and shower first but it wasn't a problem.

Kassidi held him tight making him sigh but didn't say anything as they all walked out the gym and to the locker room, though her pout got more pronounced as they walked in there. Jordan looked really smug as they left her behind, it made Carl roll his eyes at the kid.

When they walked out twenty minutes later Kassidi got attached to his arm again, she didn't want to separate from him until she needed to, but unfortunately got pulled away as they were leaving. Not that it really mattered as her family was also leaving he noticed her mom sent him a smile, the woman was heavily pregnant at the moment.

"Alright Carl let's go, the driver is waiting out front. What is your address?" Jordan asked as they made their way to the town car that was sitting out front.
