Hot showers...who didn't love them...rin most certainly did....after master jet and their talk...she essentially told us to piss off and take a shower cause we smell like shit

I'm sure I would say the same thing if I was in her situation

I dont blame her we were both in those medical pods for three days sweating

'i mean im from the slums im not gonna smell nice anyway this shower is godly '

She nearly so comfortable she nearly forgot about her flaw

She was annoyed.....no scrap that she was beyond PISSED

'Wow what a flaw literally will kill me eventually'

She looked over at the police station's female showers...Empty... After enough time under the relaxing boiling hot water.

where she nearly passed out because of the heat.

She reluctantly turned the hot water off with the taps.

Pulled down the towel she hung and walked up to mirror. Where she saw herself reflected on it. In the dimly lit room, the young female teenager stands before the full-length mirror, her short black hair cascading just below her ears. Each strand seems to glisten, reflecting the faint light that bathes the room in an ethereal glow. Her lean figure is accentuated by the soft contours of her body, giving her an air of delicate elegance and grace.

As her eyes meet her own reflection, they lock in an intense gaze, peering into the depths of her soul. Her pretty face, adorned with high cheekbones and a delicately pointed chin, holds an intriguing allure that captivates even the most dispassionate onlooker. Her eyes are dark pools, giving nothing away, as if guarding secrets untold.

The light dances across her features, revealing subtle hints of emotion beneath the seemingly emotionless facade. There's a mix of vulnerability and strength, as if she carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, yet refuses to let it break her spirit. The reflection betrays a quiet determination, as though she is constantly striving to overcome the obstacles life throws her way.

Her gaze moves from her face to her own eyes, studying them intently. Within the depths of those dark orbs lie stories of triumph and struggle, suffering and heartache. They are windows to a soul that has endured much and yet continues to persevere. The faintest glimmer of hope twinkles in her eyes, reminding her of the dreams she nurtures within.

'Wow i really have changed a lot....speaking about eyes lets see what they look like'

She focused on her eyes and activated her aspect

[Do you wish to share your sight with the Shadow user?  Yes/no]

'sure'

In her haste and excitement, she didn't think this one through she looked at herself on mirror

[Shadow user is now spectating]

.

.

[Shadow user has disconnected]

.

.

'why did the shadow user leave so fast'

she looked at herself in the mirror then it suddenly clicked in her head why this was a stupid idea in her specific situation and location

As she gazed into the mirror, her intense dark eyes reflected a mixture of determination and apprehension. Her heart pounded in anticipation, for she knew the gravity of what she was about to awaken.

A tingling sensation surged through her, as if an electric current was awakening her dormant potential. Slowly, she opened her eyes, and the transformation began. In that pivotal moment, her once dark irises shimmered with a hypnotic hue of crimson, emanating an aura of power that seemed to transcend mortal boundaries.

As she looked into the mirror once more, the reflection staring back at her was vastly different from the girl she had known. Her Sharingan pulsed with life, the single tomoe spinning with an ethereal rhythm, akin to a star dancing in the cosmos. Time seemed to slow, and her senses sharpened, as if the world had fallen into a tranquil stillness.

Red, blood-red irises with a single comma spinning in each eye instantly her breathing seemed slow the mist from the shower floated slowly as she raised her hand to see it. The from the mist from the shower circled her hand at a snail's pace, each finger she viewed was in such detail it seemed like shes never viewed her hand before.

But before she could view anything else an overwhelming headache and the loss of strength hit her like a wrecking ball

She quickly deactivated her Sharingan and held herself up with the sink

"Wow....okay I guess that takes a lot of essence"

But as she was talking to herself one of her Attribute spoke to her

[A shadow user is currently using his shadow. Send a request to spectate.....

Yes/No]

'Umm sure I guess'

[Request was sent and accepted]

And there, on the verge of her consciousness, something new.

A completely new sense.

Rin concentrated on it, and suddenly a whole other world opened to her. It was hard to describe with words, just like one would have trouble explaining how hearing or touch feels.

It was as though she could see vast forms that crowded around and receive an understanding of both their shape and the surrounding space, guided by the different degrees of pressure they exerted on her mind and each other.

That understanding came naturally and instantaneously, like an instinct.

These forms were shadows. And among them, one — not the largest one, but the deepest — didn't feel like an external entity. It was like a part of someone's soul that she was watching.

Then out of nowhere, a voice was heard through this new sense

"Alright. I will explore it later."

'This wasn't a new voice that was that idiot Sunless'

'wait.....He's THE SHADOW USER....he's the one that saw me....shit..."

And before she could focus any more on the new sense she got kicked off of it

[Shadow user has disconnected you from spectating]

**********

A few minutes after that, she was wearing a clean police-issued tracksuit and heading for the cafeteria but stopped near the entrance of the men's bathrooms.

Waiting to unleash her fury

There she saw Sunless leisurely leaving until he stopped and saw her, his eyes widened as if recent memories resurfaced in his head, and his cheeks turned beetroot red

Angry and embarrassed that he's probably thinking of her she stomped up to him. Blush very present on her face, pointed at him and in a furious voice

"you speak of this to anybody and I will kill you..are we understood?...how much did you see?"

"I won't say anything..."

.

.

.

It seemed like Sunless was desperately trying not to say something it looked like it hurt him to say silent until it finally escaped his lips

.

.

"I saw...."

.

.

"I... I..saw.."

.

.

"I saw noth-EVERYTHING...I SAW EVERYTHING!!!."

As Sunless finished his sentence, Rin looked up at him with red eyes. Her expression was cold and her body tensed with wrath. She seemed like she was about to explode.

"run"

"I think I'll take your advice," Sunless said nervously. He turned and ran, but Rin was right behind him. She caught up to him and nearly grabbed him by the collar. "YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT YOUR MOUTH SHUT!"

.

Master Jet was waiting for both of them at one of the tables, with three trays full of steaming synthetic food in front of her. She looked up and she saw two figures from a corridor up ahead running towards her.

Scratch that it was sunless running away from a chasing red

When sunless saw jet a look of hope plastered his face as he made it to her table exhausted and breathing heavily.

Rin who made it half a second later whispered behind him

"You survived.....for now"

.

.

"Help yourselves."

Both youngsters looked over at the horrible looking stuff which could barely be called food. It was like any other food she consumed in the outskirts

Still, it was food.

Rin looked over at sunless before they both ate everything on the plates

"What are you thinking about?"

Sunless choked on the gruel. And Rin grinned at his misfortune. Sunless under the table kicked rin and rin slightly flinched before giving him a death glare he retured her glare with a victorious smile.

His mouth was beginning to open, it seemed like he was putting all of his will into staying silent. A second passed without him saying anything. Then

"I was thinking that it would be a perfect moment for you to ask me about what I am thinking,"

"Sunless are you okay? Did you hit your head On something in the first nightmare?"

"IM FINE! I didn't hit my head on anything"

He grumble

Jet gave him a weird look too.

"Alright. Are you two almost finished with your food?"

Both nodded.

"Then I'll begin. As per protocol, I am obligated to inform you of a few things. It is mostly a formality. First of all, concerning your Nightmare…"

She glanced at them and sighed.

"You are entitled to receive free psychological counseling. No matter what traumatic experience you have encountered, there is no shame in asking for help. Your mind is as important as your body — it's only right to keep it healthy. Are you interested?"

Sunny shook his head, rin looked over at Sunless

"you sure?"

"YES!! very damn sure"

Jet shrugged and continued:

"As you wish. You two can also talk to me. Was it very hard?"

"It was simultaneously much worse than I expected and exactly as bad as I expected."

"It was as hard as it was easy"

She nodded, satisfied with that explanation from Sunless and Red

"That's a good attitude. I won't pry any further. Us outskirt rats are way more resilient than people think."

Sunless and Rin looked at her in surprise.

"Master Jet…"

"you grew up in the outskirts?"

She grinned.

"What? You can't tell because of my exquisite manners and polished exterior?"

She blinked a couple of times, surprised.

"I couldn't tell at all."

Sunless then added

"Are there a lot of people like us among the Awakened?"

Jet's smile disappeared.

"No. There's not. In fact, they can be counted on one hand."

Damn well that sucks but its kinda expected

If i survive through this shit show ill be a master too

"So… what happens now? What else are you obligated to tell us?"

She'll be honest she had no clue what to do after leaving the police station. The winter solstice was just several weeks away.

Jet leaned back and answered:

"That's basically it. There are some additional hoops to jump through, mostly having to do with your families, but… well. I've read your files, so I know it doesn't apply. The only thing left is to decide how you will be preparing for your first journey into the Dream Realm."

She looked at her communicator and grimaced.

"I must say, your luck is exceptionally bad. There's not a lot of time at all. First of all: you are free to do what you want. No one is forcing you to make a certain decision. That is to say, you can choose to prepare on your own, or not prepare at all. Party until the lights go out."

Rin and probably sunless were not very well versed in partying. They both looked at each other as if commucating the same thing

"However, I would advise against that. As Sleepers, you are also entitled to enroll in the Awakened Academy. You'll both be provided with food, lodging and a wide choice of preparatory classes. This late into the year, you won't be able to learn a lot. But it's better than nothing."

She was silent for a few seconds, then added:

"More importantly, you will get acquainted with most of the people who will enter the Dream Realm with you. Some of them might become your companions for life like the one next to you right now."

"Shes a pain in the ass-"

something kicked him in the leg as hard as possible

"OWWW"

"So, what do you say? Do you want me to take you two to the Academy?"

They both looked at each other in full seriousness

"Yeah. I want to go to the Academy."

"agreed"
