Chapter 22

Lily thought about what her husband told her that day after Shuri had left the mansion. At first she didn't know what to do or what to think about it.

It was strange to have your husband having another woman beside you, although it didn't reach this stage yet with Daniel but it will in the future. And that's certain.

She loved her husband so much and fell for him even more after she'd reunited with him after such a long time. But seeing that gaze filled with love and longing in Shuri's eyes, Lily felt conflicted.

She came from a world where things like sharing or having many women beside you weren't normal or socially acceptable.

So it was normal for her to feel like that but after she had lived in this world for so many years and witnessed what a human brain couldn't comprehend, her view changed.

She saw many men in the supernatural world having many wives and the reason was because they were so strong and could justify their deeds with their power and strength.

And because of that, her mind began to be opened to different and many perspectives and points of view.

So she had reached a decision after many days of thinking.

If any woman wishes to become her husband's wife in the future, then she will make sure that she truly loves him and very loyal to him because she didn't want any woman to betray her husband at all.

She didn't want him to suffer after what he had suffered after she had died, this is her goal in life.

Her husband's happiness is her happiness after all.

So right now, she was in front of the stairs that led to the old temple of Kouh Town where Shuri and her daughter lives.

'I must make sure of some things before I accept her.'  She thought as she slowly walked up the stairs.

There was a barrier around it and with a glance she knew that it was her husband's doing which made her smile warmly lovingly because whenever something related to her husband was in front of her or happened, she would always be full of smiles.

'Ufufufufu Darling is so cautious as always~'

Shuri could be seen sweeping the ground with a dazed look on her face.

She was thinking about those two years she had lived with Daniel along with her daughter. They were the best thing happened for her.

Every time she sleeps, she dreams of him and his gentle gazes directed at her. She even dreamed of him laughing and playing with her daughter while she was watching them with happy and loving smile as she was caressing her bugling stomach warmly.

Her dreams went even wild but she didn't want to talk about them at the moment.

At that day when she went back to the temple, she couldn't forget how her daughter was crying all day as she couldn't see her handsome Onii-Chan again.

Akeno wanted to play with him and laugh with him but now with her mother leaving the mansion, her wishes crumbled to dust.

Her cries were still hunting Shuri till this day, after all several months had passed since then.

Tears streamed from her eyes on her cheeks as she kept remembering the past before suddenly the barrier around the temple notified her of someone coming toward her.

Immediately she became on high alert as she thought that someone from her damned clan was coming to kill her and her daughter or it was her ex-husband. Although there was no evil intentions from that person but she knew that the world was vast and there could be some beings who could hide their intensions so well that the barrier couldn't detect.

But she didn't know that the barrier that Daniel put around the temple was somewhat sentient and could read the thoughts of those within its range of 10 meters to know their true intentions. Well that will be for another time.

Shuri looked at the entrance with serious expression as her grip on her broom tightened that it nearly broke.

But when the person that the barrier notified her about appeared, her eyes widened and her body trembled because she knew that person so well.

After all, she was the woman who made Daniel, the love of her life, smile and laugh genuinely like no before.

And that made her jealous actually but she held it.

"Hello, Shuri-san," Lily said with a smile on her face as she greeted Shuri.

"H-Hello," Her voice was quite shaky as she didn't know why she came here.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, sorry about that. Ahem, my name is Gabriel or maybe known as the strongest woman in heaven."

Shuri's eyes widened at that revelation as she of course knew about the strongest woman in heaven but didn't see her in person or in photos because the said woman didn't like to show herself, or that what she had thought till this point.

Just the holy aura around her that seemed endless ensured her words.

"Haha You don't need to be formal with me because I don't like that, besides, maybe our relationship will change soon."

"H-Huh?!"

"Depending on your answer of course~" Gabriel said with her playful tone of voice. But the look in her eyes was contradicted with the smile on her face because she clearly was serious.

"T-Then come inside." Shuri said as she gestured for Gabriel respectively to go inside the house behind the temple.

"That's good." Gabriel nodded as she let Shuri lead the way to her house.

Gabriel looked at Shuri while walking behind her and nodded in approval as she noticed how Shuri's mannerisms were acceptable and good.

She was a perfect housewife material.

Once they got inside the house, Shuri led her to the living room where Gabriel excused herself and sat in front of the small wooden table before Shuri went to prepare some tea for both of them.

Akeno was playing in her room not realizing what was going on with her mom.

Some time later, Shuri came with a wooden tray that had two cups of warm streamy tea on it.

She put a cup in front of Gabriel who appreciated it and one for her before putting the tray aside and sat opposite to Gabriel with serious expression that had a hint of anxiety.

Gabriel didn't say anything and just lifted the cup with her delicate hands and took a sip.

She sighed after it as she felt relaxed and calm.

'The tea is very good, no, it's excellent. It gives me calmness and relaxation. Approved.' Gabriel thought as she continued sipping the warm delicious green tea.

She must admit that Shuri was perfect in brewing tea.

Shuri was nervous with this silence as she watched Gabriel drinking the tea with elegance and calmness.

And before long, Gabriel finished her cup of tea without realizing.

"D-Do you want another one?"

"..No...for now." Gabriel said as she looked at Shuri who was sweating slightly with nervousness making her amusing to the eye.

"Don't be so nervous, I'm not here to do anything to you, just to ask you some questions."

Once Shuri heard this, she sighed in relief while putting her hand on her chest.

"Now, let's start." Gabriel said while Shuri nodded with serious expression but still kept her manners.

"First, let's talk about me and what is my relationship with Daniel. I'm sure that you are wondering about that too or have some doubts."

"Y-Yeah." Shuri said as she didn't expect her to know what she was wondering about since she saw her.

"Well, to make it direct, I'm Daniel's wife."

Shuri became shocked with her eyes widened to the limit as she didn't expect that. Yes she had some doubts but not to the point of thinking that Gabriel was his wife.

She only doubted that she was his lover or some sort but wife? No that didn't cross her mind at all.

Gabriel was smiling in amusement as she really enjoyed that shocked expression of the woman in front of her.

Even Grayfia wasn't that shocked like her.

But then Shuri's expression changed to the one of sadness and shame as she couldn't believe that she love a married man. This is shame to her.

"Haah, you don't need to look sad like a woman who has beed discovered by the wife of the man she had a relationship with. I'm here to today to make sure of something and after that I will make my decision regarding the matter."

"Okay," Shuri still sad and feel shame although it lessened by Gabriel's words who sighed again.

"Tell me Shuri, do you really love Daniel to the point of sacrificing everything to be with him, your daughter excluded tho? Or you mixed gratitude with love for all he had done for you like some women do?"

"I want to make sure that that look I saw in your eyes that day wasn't fake, that look of longing and love." Gabriel's tone was very serious and firm as she unconsciously released her aura making Shuri unable to breath.

'Such power!'

It was so imposing and terrifying as if the woman in front of her wasn't Gabriel anymore but an ancient being who was looking down on her.

"I need an answer, right here right now, Shuri." Her voice wasn't that loud but reflected her seriousness and firmness.

The last thing that Gabriel wanted was for her husband to be betrayed by a woman who her love for her husband was half assed. She wanted a woman who deeply love him to the point of sacrificing everything she had for him.

She wants a woman who is very loyal to her husband not some bitches who want to use any chance to get into his pants, this is the worst type of women she hates the most.

'I think there are some type of women who could fit these standards hmmm, what they are called again? Ahh, yeah Goudere and Yandere. A one who only loves one man in her life and gives her all to him and the other is very obsessive and possessive of her man. Well the last one needs to be tamed a little.' Gabriel was thinking before Shuri's voice snapped her out.

"Gabriel-san,"

"Hmm? Tell me," Gabriel's looked attentively at Shuri observing her every movement and gestures to know if she was lying or not.

"From the beginning since Daniel-san had saved me and my daughter I was thankful for him that I couldn't find anything to repay him, he had everything after all from power to wealth, and when he offered me to live in his mansion my debt grew more and as if he knew my worries he said that he didn't need anything from me but I couldn't accept so he told me to just cook for him at least so I could be comfortable,"

"He took care of me and my daughter, he made me stronger along with my daughter so I could protect myself and her and as the time passed I felt a strange attraction toward him, at first I thought that it was gratitude and I just mixed it with love but no matter what, my heart was racing and beating so hard and fast every time I look at him or he look at me, I refused to believe this was love but the time passed and the longing in my heart only increased that I felt it was going to jump out of my chest, every time I sleep I dream of him, every time I think of something I see his face in front of me. My feelings were overflowing. And that day when I saw him smiling and laughing with you being beside him I knew that I loved him so much because I felt my heart ache as if several needles and swords penetrated it, I felt my world crumbling in my eyes."

"So, I here saying it because I can't contain this feeling in my heart anymore," She took a deep breath and closed her eyes before she opened them again and they were filled with determination and strong will. There was no hesitation, no sadness and no shame in her eyes at all.

They glowed brightly.

"I, Himejima Shuri, love Daniel with all my heart and soul that I'm ready to give and sacrifice anything and everything to be with him, I can't lie to myself anymore, I want to be beside him for eternity."

Gabriel looked at Shuri and observed every of her actions and gestures and along with her eyes that didn't waver or shake during every word she had said.

Silence filled the room as Shuri was still looking at Gabriel directly in her eyes with her glowing golden brown eyes.

She didn't want to hide this feeling inside her anymore, she wanted to open this cage that she had built to put her feelings inside it.

Finally she felt free as if a huge weight had been lifted off from her shoulders. No matter the result, she had confirmed her feelings and said it.

"Fufufufu that's what I wanted, I approve of you Himejima Shuri and welcome to the family~"

A/N: Damn, it took me 4-5 hours to write and review this chapter.

Of course every chapter of this novel is written in that span of hours mentioned above so I want you to appreciate my efforts guys.
