Chapter 21

"What did you just say? Can you repeat it again? I think I misheard it." Michael said with a look of unbelief on his face.

From the day he was created by his father till this moment he didn't expect that his 'naive' and 'airhead' sister would say something like this. It made him so confused and incredulous.

"Just like I have said, I want to quit working for Heaven and live alone in someplace, I'm tired of all of this work." Gabriel said with a tried sigh.

All these centuries were filed with a lot of paper work and meetings about the situation of the human realm and so on.

She even had to go the meeting of the peace treaty with the Heavenly Father in the past.

You could say that she did most of the work because she was efficient and fast in her work which made Michael push most of the work on her unintentionally.

Actually, Micheal was surprised by his sister's change because she wasn't like that in past. She used to be naive and airhead making her look cute and easy to be manipulated that's why she rarely left heaven and if she wanted to explore the human realm, someone would escort her but one day everything changed.

She became a completely different person, the air of naivety around her disappeared and was replaced by the air of seriousness and power.

Her personality changed wholly as if someone replaced her soul with the soul of some ancient being.

The way she talked and her body gestures weren't of someone naive and airhead, her words were filled with riddles and plans that she was the one who helped the Heavenly Father in the negotiations about the peace treaty.

Frankly speaking, Michael still can't believe that the woman in front of him right now is his sister Gabriel.

"Mich....Michael Oyyy!"

BAM!

Gabriel called out loudly with a frown while hitting the office with her hands making the room shake and snapping Michael out of his thoughts to look at her with surprised expression. Surprisingly the office wasn't broken.

"W-What, Gabriel?"

"I want to hear your answer right now about accepting my resignation."

Silence filled the room as the atmosphere became tense as Michael was thinking about what she had just said.

Clearly it was a difficult decision for him to make although he was the leader of heaven, he can't do everything alone.

"I think it's time for those jackasses to work, they have been lazing around lately." Gabriel said making Michael sigh at her words that an angel shouldn't say.

'Really, how didn't she fall after all fo that?' Another question needs an answer but it's not to be discovered because he won't even know unless She or Him told him.

"*Sigh* I think you are alright, they need to work rather than being lazy but I can't accept your resignation." He looked at her with serious expression.

"Ehh?! Why?" Gabriel used her puppy eyes to persuade Michael but he only deadpanned her as if saying 'Really?'

"Tsk,"

"Oi did you click your tongue just now?"

"Just your imagination~" She rolled her eyes.

"Anyway I can't accept it but I can give you an indefinite leave to do whatever you want but you should return after you are satisfied, okay?"

"Haaah okay, that's better than nothing, I guess." Gabriel responded as she knew why Michael did that. She was a seraph and the strongest woman in heaven, so if she left the heaven other factions may peruse her to get her in their forces at all costs and if that happened it would be a disaster and shame. Besides, it will just annoy her and disturb her lovey-dovey time with her dear husband and that is a big NO.

With that the discussion concluded and Gabriel left the office and went to her own room to pack her things.

'Wait for me hubby, I'm coming Ufufufufu~~'

Time passed and the training of Rias was going well.

She trained in the training yard at the back of the mansion by Grayfia who helped her control her power better, beside learning few spells and ways to utilize her destruction to suit her pattern.

Rias preferred to infuse the power of destruction in her punches and kicks because hand to hand combat suited her better.

Another thing, she was trained in swordsmanship by Igris who was proficient in it and surprisingly Rias had a talent for swords that Igris acknowledged making Daniel nod in satisfaction and make Igris put another training program for her to learn the way of sword more in depth.

Her talent wasn't in long ranged battle but short ranged and hand to hand combat which was different from the anime as she only used her power of destruction in long ranged attacks which was insufficient because she wasted too much power in every single attack.

The cons outweigh the pros.

And Grayfia knew what Rias lacked so she trained her accordingly.

It was the thing that she exiled in which was energy control.

So she trained little Rias in how to control her energy and utilize it better while Daniel did his usual supervision and told Rias about that she need to do.

Daniel was also the one who told Rias to try hand to hand combat where her talent bloomed.

Rias with every passing training session was getting stronger and stronger which made her happy but wasn't satisfied with this, she wanted to be more stronger and stronger which made Daniel pleased with her determination and mindset so he trained her even harder until she bled but she didn't complain at all, only with a burning determination she was going forward.

During that time, Lily came back to live with Daniel which surprised Grayfia as she knew about her so well from the meeting in the past.

She couldn't believe that Gabriel, the strongest woman in heaven was in a lovey-dovey relationship with Daniel and even shocked when she knew that Gabriel was his wife.

Many questions appeared in her mind that needed answers but she decided to throw them out of the window because it wasn't her thing to meddle in other people's affairs, so she returned to the usual Grayfia with cold and expressionless face.

No one suspected her because Venelana was helping in covering her while also keeping her part of the deal which was providing Daniel with ancient books about the devils and their powers along with some myths of the world.

One of them grabbed his attention.

It was talking about Omnipotent beings called Outer Gods and Azathoth being the progenitor of these extremely powerful beings.

The book was written by someone called Lovecraft.

Daniel was amazed at how that person described these beings and how he drew them in the most disgusting way he had ever seen.

Most of them were described as masses of flesh and blood with eyes scattered around the body and sharp teeth that could tear the space and the tentacles.

Another thing was the methods used to torture people, Daniel was interested in them and wondered if he would have the chance to try them someday.

He also wondered if these beings were real or not for him being one of them as well.

Although his true form wasn't disgusting as them but it could be considered so terrifying and could put people into a wave of madness just by look.

I can see you guys wondering about how he figured out about his true form and those things about him being an Outer God as well.

Well, for the first thing, Daniel was one day looking inside his soul to know what it looked like to find something that made him shocked.

Everything around was utter darkness but in the horizon you could see something floating there, and when he got closer he could get a hold of the form of that thing. It was so terrifying and disturbing.

Although it was floating but it was sitting on a very massive throne that floated in his soul space.

The thing was so massive with two giant horns coming from the sides of its head curved upward along with a black skin that seemed like an armor with spikes, it had a very wide mouth filed with very sharp teeth carved in a very creepy smile and six black eyes that were so deep and horrible.

Just the sight could make anyone die from heart attack or drive him to madness until he commit suicide.

But to Daniel he only felt a sense of familiarity as of this thing sitting there on the throne was connected to him.

It was as if this thing was....him. A reflection of him and his true nature.

Daniel spent some time musing in front of that thing before he sighed and decided to get out of his soul.

Although some time had passed but the picture was still vivid in his mind.

Now for the second thing, Daniel figured out that after his body fully adapted to his soul, his energy began changing its nature on itself.

He didn't know why that happened but one thing for sure, which was that this change would make him a very terrifying being more than he was already.

The nature of this new type of energy that was still changing till this moment was very chaotic and complex that no one could imagine that such a type of energy could exist.

It was unbelievable but Daniel felt that as time passed he would get stronger and stronger and if he didn't train to adapt to these changes, then this power would be useless.

So he trained and trained at how to control this new type of energy on small scales, although small but it was enough to destroy cities or even countries, and every time he increases the output the control becomes much more difficult but slowly he was getting used to it.

He just needs time to adapt.

And this is it, this is why he thought he was an outer god as from the book he read he knew that these outer beings had one element and one type of energy which was Chaos.

The same thing Daniel trying to control.

Most of their characteristics resembled Daniel so he assumed he was one of them and wondered if they were real because if that was true then he would like to meet them someday in the future.

Anyway, right now he needs to train at how to control his energy and power and how to utilize them better with the help of his shadows.

And one thing, Lily was meeting Shuri 'without' Daniel's knowing. (As if..)

Maybe something good will happen soon?
