GIVE ME A REVIEW. RIGHT...NOW. The first few chapters may be bad but after like 10 chapters or somn it'll be good. I think. I'm not one to judge myself. A modern fantasy story with our protagonist being gifted with a good old leveling system! Enjoy (Or suffer) my years old writing skills.

Student And Teacher Under The Same Master

'You know, ever since I learnt that Shadows could jump dimensions and realities, I had wondered what things I would witness in those said places. But... I never imagined that that would be how I could meet these other races that exist and other entities,' Quinn continued to think of other possibilities that his existence could achieve, 'So, I should be able to get to the domains of gods and such, right? I'm curious as to how strong they are... You reckon I could beat one? A God?'

'No,' Void replied quite bluntly, shattering Quinn image of himself being almighty, 'You are not even a complete Shadow, boy; you do not have your Mask: your token of transcendence. Furthermore, even if you did not have a Mask, you do not have even a shred of Divine Law energy. If you think you can best a God with just your Authorities and your physical prowess, think again.

'These Gods you so look down on, have been cultivating their Divine Laws for a far longer time than you could fathom. Yes, the Shadow Heart may make it sound easy and something you would eventually be able to do in a short amount of time according to its ways, and yes, Shadows might be stronger than most Gods, but it takes time, experience, luck and talent—which I do not doubt that you have—to fight against Gods.

'Sure, these Gods may not be primordial, but their essence is: their source of power is. And, if the Shadow Heart's true goal is to kill the Gods and alike, you need to destroy their source of power altogether.'

'You are not a God yet, nor do you possess your Mask that all true Shadows have,' Void sighed before he continued, 'There is a reason why the Divine Candidates are called so... . They are the candidates to either a vacant or a new position of a God. At some point and time, when the candidates are strong enough on their own, they will be granted Godly powers: a Divine Law. You may be well above the Candidates at that level in the terms of strength, but to the former System—now the Shadow Heart—you are not officially at that level yet, so it cannot grant you any Godly powers; to put it in a more simple way, your attributes are not yet up to par with what is required of a Divine Candidate to handle the power of Divine Laws. You just need to focus on raising your base attributes to a certain threshold until they do not increase anymore and level up.

'For now, just focus on the smaller things in the Tiny World: your realm. After that, when you are finally ready to resume this game, you shall head to the Vampire Planet, if you so wish to. Be careful in there; the Vampires are one of the more special races out there. They may or may not be able to sense what you are, but they definitely will notice something is strange; after all, Shadows do not have a particular smell that the Vampires or Werewolves can use to differentiate them with other races. To be more precise, we do not have any smell, nor do we give out any Energy in any form. That was why your friend probably found you interesting: you do not possess or emit any Ki. This might pose a tad problem for you—attracting uncessary attention from otherwise troublesome lesser beings.

'Before you make your way to randezvous with Aaron, try and let out some of your Innate Shadow Energy and morhp it, changing it to some sort of aura that humans and alike can detect. That way, you need not worry about anyone catching an interest in you all of a sudden.'

"Yes, yes," Quinn sighed, "To whatever you just said. I've been wondering though—It's not like I'm religious or anything—but, isn't opposing a God just... blasphemy?"

'Your existence itself is blasphemous, boy,' Void replied, as if he had expected this question, 'Do not worry about such trivial matters; you shall be above them.'

Leaving to go to the Magic Weapons Class' training room, to meet with Aaron, Quinn wore the regular military academy training uniform, and left his dorm room. Using [Shadow Mist] to cloak himself, he jumped to the top of the boys' dorm building. Facing the direction of the training room, it was quite far away; getting ready to use [Instanteneous Acceleration], Quinn made sure not to destroy the building completely while doing so.

[-500 Mana]

He launched himself in the air with a relatively powerful kick, off the roof, shaking the whole building and some of the surrounding area. "EARTHQUAKE!!" he heard before it was out of his abnormal hearing range. While still in the air, Quinn kicked even the air itself, to slightly propel himself so that he doesn't lose altitude. And, within 3 seconds, he was landing at the back of the training facility.

His feet finally touched the ground with a loud bang, but nothing was destroyed. He had his [Body Modification] Passive Skill to thank for that.

Quickly jumping over the giant building, Quinn was over to the other side, its enterance. Not wasting any time, he quietly entered the training facility. "I was about wondering what all that noise was... it was you. Quinn," Aaron stood just in front of the door with his hand on the hilt of a Scimitar on his back as opposed to the Katana that he usually carries, "You ought to know better than to cause such a disturbance if you truly heeded master's teachings."

'He really does think that we trained under the same master, huh? Good for me, either way: makes it easier to get him to help me.'

"Need your help," Quinn sighed before he continued, "Gotta get to the Vampires' planet. Gonna need your help there. Heard from master that you were originally from there. Maybe we can meet him there too."

Aaron raised an eyebrow before running his hand over his neatly-trimmed beard, "Hmph, what business do you of all people have there? I did not think you were from there too... . Unfortunately, I have no way to get back to Nyxterra as of now; not unless I get summoned by master or process a special request through him. But, if I must do the latter, I would have to go through the trouble of getting some way to contact him."

Quinn walked past Aaron, and into one of the fighting rings, "Don't worry about how to get to the place, I'll handle that. I've learned some Magic of my own. I was to return to the place to prove my mettle once I was ready," he turned around and punched his other palm, "So, let's see if I'm ready. I'm looking forward to your guidance, teacher."
