Black pill

Covered in a golden light, Queen emerged from the rubble, her entry like that of a war goddess. Without wasting a moment, she unleashed a barrage of golden beams that tore through the everything in its way, threatening to tear the entire city apart. I found myself cornered, trapped within a sphere of light created by my stepmother. In this prison of her powers, I felt like a helpless lamb, ready to be slaughtered.

Before I could even contemplate my next move, hundreds of golden beams rained down upon me, leaving me defenseless and vulnerable. The onslaught seemed relentless, and I struggled to find a way out of this dire situation. Desperation took hold of me as I mustered every ounce of strength and covered myself in a golden light, entering a state of high-mana consumption.

In this berserker-like state, my abilities surged, becoming at least ten times stronger. The beams from Queen appeared slower, giving me a slight advantage in dodging them. It was still an incredibly challenging task, but I managed to hold my ground, refusing to succumb to her onslaught.

But then, in the midst of the chaos, a beam almost grazed my head, originating from behind me. Confusion washed over me as I tried to comprehend how the attack had come from an impossible angel. It was then that I realized the walls of the prison were reflecting Queen's attacks, making her fatal attacks more deadly. She looked furious, her assaults growing stronger and faster with each passing moment. The reflected beams, although slightly weaker, tormented me from every angle, leaving me with little room to evade.

As the situation grew increasingly dire, I discovered that my defense magic was proving insufficient in this intense battle. To make matters worse, my own attacks were being absorbed by the sphere that entrapped me. Injuries piled up, pain consuming my body, and I desperately fought to avoid any fatal blows. Time was slipping by, and my plans seems to be verge on falling apart. I needed to find a way out, and quickly.

"Now you die, you brat!" Queen mocked, her voice dripping with venom.

Startled and gasping for breath, I scanned my surroundings, hoping for a solution. And then, a sight caught my attention—an enormous half-kilometer-long light sword materialized in the air. Panic surged through me as I realized the magnitude of the weapon. Its sheer size made evasion seem impossible. It appeared that the queen's power surpassed my wildest expectations, and it seemed like ticket of hell.

"Haha, you're dead, vermin!" the queen taunted. "Because if not, I will summon even more!"

A blinding flash of light engulfs me, and I manage to barely dodge the tip of the massive sword. However, given its enormous size, it becomes impossible for me to evade it in a split second.

Miraculously, I survive the impact, and to my surprise, the sphere that trapped me is also shattered. My body is now covered in wounds and injuries, and the pain is overwhelming.

I have to act quickly, or else... What the heck!

Before I can even process what's happening, ten more swords come crashing down upon me. The force is so tremendous and destructive that a huge pit has formed.

With time running out and my body reaching its limits, I knew I had no other choice. Summoning every ounce of strength left within me, I focused on my mana core, channeling my energy into the black pill embedded in my chest. The pill greedily absorbed my remaining mana, leaving me on the verge of losing consciousness.

Amidst the chaos and destruction that surrounded me, I fought to maintain my focus on the pill. It was an difficult and demanding task, but I had no alternative. With unwavering determination, I fixated my attention on the black pill nestled near my heart, pouring all my mana and focus into it. And then, to my surprise, cracks began to form on its surface, releasing wisps of white smoke.

I can feel the power of pill, I was slowly gaining control over it. My progress halted suddenly and, I was suddenly drawn into the black pill itself. It felt as though my soul was compressed and squeezed through a narrow tunnel, an indescribable sensation. And then, at the end of the tunnel, I was forcefully ejected out into a realm of blinding light.

In the midst of my contemplation, an alluring blue light cuts through the veil of white smoke. It's impossible. How can he still be alive? I made sure to shatter his will completely and personally destroy his soul. There's no way he could be here.

"Who are you, mister?" Vincent asked, surprised by the unexpected encounter.

Quickly composing himself, X replied, "You, human. What are you doing here?"

"So my name is Human? Do you know me, mister?" Vincent inquired curiously.

X increased his aura and spoke in an authoritative tone, saying, "Drop the act, vermin. I will make your life hell if you don't. Do you think I'm a fool?"

Visibly trembling, Vincent meekly responded, "You... why did you kill me? And if that's not enough, you tortured me and then put me here."

X realized by now that if he wants to harness the full power of the Black Pill, he will need this human's consent. In an authoritative manner, he declared, "I will allow you to leave this place with a new body in one month. In exchange, hand over part of your control."

"Haha, I'm not a fool, Mr. X. What will I gain if I hand over my control to you? I don't know why you need it, but I bet it's crucial," Vincent responded calmly yet cautiously.

"You're right. How about I give you insurance, like control over my core," Major X proposed.

"What do you mean by that? Is it even possible?" Vincent asked, confused.

"I will merge both the Black Pill and my core. Then I can utilize the Black Pill to its fullest extent, and in return, you will have control over my life. You can choose to consume my core or even decide to kill us both by detonating it," X explained calmly and composedly.

"You're fooling me, right?" Vincent said, disbelief evident on his face.

"Okay, you first try to devour my core," X challenged.

"Huh? What do you mean by 'devour your core'? I'm not a professional, or even a beginner. Devouring your core? What a joke," Vincent scoffed.

X's aura intensified, his face filled with anger as he retorted, "Follow the streams of mana. They will lead you to my core. Then, consume it. Of course, you have my permission, so there's no danger involved."

"Okay," Vincent replied .
