Package Deal

as the week progressed; I decided I'd go out to the little ice shop down the road.

I grabbed my panda head bag and put on my hooded panda footies and ran out the door.

"I'll just grab some chips and a tapioca cup! maybe a mango-ñiada for my mom."

as i bolted down the patio stairs and wooden fence in our yard i bumped into the fed mailer.

"oh shoot! I'm sorry i didn't see you!"

the mailer looked a bit ticked but waved it off.

"no worries. here's your mail."

he dropped some heavy package envelopes and drove off.

'wonder what all these are for'

i walked back into the house and sat down on my moms favorite red couch and put the envelopes on the coffee table.

'four large envelopes just what are these' "oh these are all for me?! you gotta be kidding!"

I opened them to find out its all paperwork for the school i signed up for. "oh wow that a lot! there's even an appointment card.... for Wednesday...THIS WEDNESDAY?? that's just two days and i have to gather all this paperwork?! they must be nuts!"

'where's mom when i need her!...oh right she's at work...' (sigh)

i resigned myself into filling all the papers i needed. "guess im not going out for treats this week...."

----------------------------------------------------------

after a long day talking to my worker for the school i found out its a real school...and since all my paperwork worked out I'd be leaving in two weeks by shuttle bus up north.

"I chose the closest school just in case anything goes wrong but its still four hours away...my nerves are on edge!"

i slouched into my bed

"hey hey! at least you are doing something for yourself. i mean it's not such a bad idea. plus I'm sure you can make some friends for once instead of reading all day...seriously you gotta grow up."

"tch. I know, you know for my twin you sure are a butt... you could at least come over and visit before i go. i cant even talk to mom right now she has all the fam over.... and our aunt irma is going nuts! she over here dancing to regae and putting on the mop head as a wig... she hasn't finished a single beer since she got here...there's half empty bottles everywhere...."

(click) my door opened up and my aunt stumbled in.

"let me use your toilet!"

"whats wrong with the hallway bathroom???" i jumped up and dropped my phone.

"your's is closerrrrr."

she said as the mop fell off onto my carpet and she pushed her way passed my giant bear.

"close the bathroom door at least! i dont want to smell that!"

i covered my mouth and told my brother I'd call him back.

"nooooooooooo I'll suffocate in hereeeee!"

she hollered at me as she almost fell off the toilet.

"gah! oh gosh, no no no no no! I'm out'ta here!" i gagged and ran out into the backyard where the kids were bouncing in the jumper.

'someone save my poor room!'

‐-----------------------------------------------------

After my mess of an aunt played out her party tricks with the kids i decided to pass out in the car.

The weeks passed quickly and the day finally arrived to say goodbye to my home and say hello to my new school....well after the bus rides over..

that day i decided to wear a long sleeve black thermal dress with a lamb leather cherry black vest an platform hansel sandals.

A dark older gentleman came to pick us up at the terminal where the shuttle let off. I couldn't focus on anyone in the van the man picked us up in. The driver was very...interesting though..

"okay! listen up! My name is hank and ill say this only once! you do not eat in my van. You do not drink in my van. You do not sit on anyones lap or smack lips in my van! AND I better not catch any one of you with your hands anywhere else than on your laps got it!"

we all kinda nodded

'I want to laugh sooo bad! this guys body language is all over the place! I think I'll like this place!'

"I hope not all the staff is like him..."

a small girl next to me squeaked out.

her hands covering her face.

i watched her as she barried her head into her bag. I really thought she'd cry if the ride wasn't so short that she managed to rush out the doors first from the back seats.

I swear i saw her almost hyperventilating in there before we got off.

"wow this place looks...secured..."

i got off the van to see a facility with a large fourteen foot chain link fence surrounding all the small building across a huge feild. we were walked into a security building before i could even get a clear view of the area.

they took all of our pictures, checked our luggage, gave us temp badges to scan in with and separated us into small groups...i was left all alone with a lady named jané
