Old Lady Agatha

'Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. If you haven't already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead locker. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And also make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position.

If you are seated next to an emergency exit, please carefully read the special instructions card located by your seat. If you do not wish to perform the functions described in the event of an emergency, please ask a flight attendant to reseat you.

We remind you that this is a non-smoking flight. Smoking is prohibited on the entire aircraft, including the lavatories. Tampering with, disabling or destroying the lavatory smoke detectors is prohibited by law.

If you have any questions about our flight today, please dont hesitate to ask one of our flight attendants. Thank you.'

I sigh and put my headphones on, connecting it to my phone. A couple of minutes later I feel a tap on my shoulder

"Yes?" I ask annoyed and take my headphones off.

"Would it be alright if you could leave your seat for a second so that the last two passengers may take their seat in your row?"

"Yeah sure" I get up and stand beside my seat.

"Great, and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask"

"Of course" I give the flight attendant a small smile and sit back in my seat once the man and what I am assuming to be his daughter sit down in the seats to my right. The girl giggles as her father tells her a joke about how hysterical her mother will be as soon as she sees how much she's grown. I smile, remembering how it was to have a father with you, remembering the good times, the tough times, but also remembering how safe I felt with him, how protective he was when I had come home from school with a grazed leg and a black eye. I can never get that back, losing my mum saddened me but losing my dad made me tougher. There is no way in hell, heaven or earth that I am going to let this woman catch me.

I feel another tap on my shoulder, this time it was the little girl. "Are you alright miss?" I give her a small smile not noticing the tears that were streaming down my face. "Yeah of course why wouldn't I be?"

"You're crying" instinctively my hand flies to my cheeks and wipes the traitors away, the last time I cried had been the first time I was bullied, that was the only time I was bullied actually, and it was all because my dad went and told them bullies off.

"Yes, I'm fine thanks" I give her a reassuring smile and put my headphones back on. I turned the volume up, blocking out the sound of the captain and flight attendants speeches.

Once again I feel a tap on my shoulder, I think they're making a habit of doing this. I slowly open my eyes, taking in all the action. People were taking off their seatbelts, getting their bags down from the lockers and standing in the aisle. I take off my headphones and look at the person who had tapped my shoulder once again. "We're here now" I hear her say in sweet small voice. I give her a nod and stand up grabbing my bag from underneath the seat in front of me in the process.

"126 Crimson Creek Avenue, 127 Crimson Creek Avenue, 128 Crimson Creek avenue, Ahh! 129 Crimson Creek Avenue!" I park my car into the driveway and get out only to be greeted with a soccer ball. "Hmm I wonder who owns you?" I pick it up and turn it around in my hands, trying to look for a name.

Nope. Nothing. It looks new too, I guess I'll have to see If one of my neighbors lost it after I unpack my car. I look up at my new house.

"Wow" I breathe out in amazement, I didn't expect a house like this. Especially since the government are the ones paying for it. I go up to the front door and unlock it, after having a look inside and marveling at all the amazing furniture I decide it was time to bring my things inside.

I go back to my car and start taking out all the bags, when I hear someone scream for help. I drop my bags instantly and run to the source of the sound. without knowing it I was already at the fence that separates me from my neighbor. I look up and see that it was a false alarm, there was a young girl and a guy about my age (17) playing around. I sigh in relief and head back to my car.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Unpacking everything was annoying but I managed to unpack every single bag, well except for my parents because I don't know where I should put it all. I look over to the ball that I had found earlier, maybe now would be a good time to go and see if its one of my neighbors.

I go upstairs and get changed into a pale blue summer dress because its starting to get really hot. I slip on some white sandals and walk out the door with my wallet, phone and the lost soccer ball in my hands. I look over to the place that I saw the little girl and the guy last time, the car has gone from the drive way so I'm going to assume they left, I decide to head to the neighbors house on my left.

I walk up to the door and knock on the glass. I hear loud footsteps and suddenly the door is pulled open. "Can't you read girl?!!" I wince at the sound of her sharp but old voice. "Well?!!!" she starts to look impatient. I sigh 'Get into character Raven!!!' "Yes, sorry ma'am I was just wondering if this ball is yours or someone else that lives in this residence?" I ask politely and in a small voice. "Of course its not mine!! Do I look like I would be outside kicking a useless sphere all day?! And as for anyone else living here, you have no right of asking that!" she yells and slams the door in my face.

I roll my eyes and turn around, heading back into my drive way.

"That was quite a show" I jump at the sound of the smooth husky voice from behind me. I turn around and face the guy from earlier. "I see you've met old lady Agatha."
