Chapter 6

Kojiro stood up immediately as the guide sent the final message.

[The treasure hunt will now commence.]

[Remaining time until midnight 05: 29: 59]

Yun Seora soon found herself under his arms as she was carried out of the classroom. "Point me in the directions of the coins. Kojiro smiled as he imagined Yun Seora as a multi-tool, a compass and a storage. Yun Seora sighed as she could do nothing but point to the directions of the coins.

Kojiro quickly picked up every coin in his sight as soon as Kojiro had 100 coins he was satisfied. He only needed enough to pass through the gate to paradise. Yun Seora hwoever wanted more coins as seen through her gestures. Kojiro sighed as he simply followed behind, soon enough Yun Seora had enough and they all headed back to the classroom. A sudden message appeared.

[Hour of the Dead as begun]

On the way however the dead who had died had begun to roam the place. Kojiro leisurely strolled pass the dead as the Monohoshizao took care of them in swift and precise strikes. However Kojiro narrowed his eyes on his phone.

[Locks on the door of the 6th floor have been deactivated]

[Bars on the second floor have been deactivated]

That would mean that the extra large swallow would be returning for another match. He would not let it go this time. However a large group had formed outside the the classroom. Kojiro waved at them "Oi what's going on?" The group turned their heads to the pair as they arrived. Kang Seok scratched his nose in irritation. "You! If it weren't for you everything would be easier but you just had to accompany that weak woman." Kojiro simply picked his ears as he dismissed everything.

He attempted to walk by but was stopped by a barrier. "That's right, you don't know but I've set a barrier here. No one can pass without my permission."

A loud screech echoed through the hall.

Kojiro turned around to face the hall. He turned his head back to Kang Seok and the rest of the group. "There is no need to enter the classroom when the danger is gone correct? Just remember this. Everything is simply a bigger swallow if you see it as one."

Monohoshizao gleamed and sang as it was released from its scabbard. It's gleam under the light. However before that the group inside had taken Kang Seok down and ran inside the classroom but that left only one person outside. He had no intention of running away from a challenge.

The monster was not stupid, it new the most dangerous one here was Kojiro.

Kim Hannah looked at Kojiro on the screen as the rest laughed. She facepalmed as she watched him ready his stance using his abnormally long sword. As expected of the laundry drying pole.

She would watch how it goes.

Kojiro released a breath as he banished everything unnecessary from his mind. His skills had two states, active and passive. Of course the usage was different and the only one that had yet to have an active state was his Mind's Eye, therefore he gave it was listed as a variation, (Fake).

[!] [Activating Vitrify]

[All mental debuffs are useless]

[!] [Activating Sense of Subtle Elegance]

[All attacks within your range gain increased accuracy and critical attacks are doubled in effect]

A flare of mana pushed some of the dust away as the skills consumed a bit of mana for their active state. Kojiro had been dying to test this out, he had been basing it off his soundless and light footsteps. He had remembered the feeling of mana as he lightly gathered a bit on the bottom of his foot. In an instant the moment his foot touched the ground no sound was generated except for a swift sound of wind.

The monster's eyes widened as Sasaki appeared right under its head. Everyone watched as an elegant sword dance was performed. For each time the monster struck it was redirected or shifted to the side as the monster lost balance. Once again Monohoshizao struck down missing the monster, however the monster was not stupid. It shifted back one more step as it had expected it. Only for nothing to happen, Kojiro raised his blade and pointed towards his target as one more step was enough.

*Shuck*

The monster's eyes widened as he found Kojiro right in front of him as the Monohoshizao pierced its chest. Kojiro quickly switched his grip on his sword as he swung it up with all his might. A deathly screech occurred as the monster found its body being separated into halves as blood sprayed everywhere. A quick swing of the Monohoshizao was enough to rid the blade of blood.

Everyone watched as Kojiro placed the Monohoshizao back onto his back before walking back into the classroom as he placed his feet up onto the table and crossed his arms before drifting off to sleep.

Kojiro soon grumbled as there was a small commotion. It was the dead girl who had been revived? Guess they did it, yay celebrations for everyone. He grumbled again before grabbing another box of pocky out of his pocket before wandering around the school.

A buzz from his phone got his attention as he stared at the message.

[A message from the Guide has arrived.]

[Gather on the sixth floor]

Kojiro shrugged and started walking at a leisurely pace. He was a more "I do what I want when I want" type. He soon found himself walking up the stairs to the gathering location. There he was, his favourite person so far. Apart from Yun Seora, "Hans!" The guide smiled before waving at him and fiddling with his monocle.

[Treasure Hunt Complete]

Kojiro smiled as he finally had enough, he could finally get to the so-called Paradise.

Han gave them a formal greeting. He also looked like a happy man today as well. So much so, he felt like a somewhat different person from the Han of the assembly hall.

"Very good, very good! Now that everyone has gathered here, allow me to officially announce the completion of Area 1's Tutorial!"

Clap, clap, clap, clap!

The blonde maid silently clapped her hands. Of course, no one else followed her example well except for Kojiro who waved back at the maid. He had a feeling that they would be best friends given the chance.

"Is this everyone?"

Kojiro snorted as he tried not to laugh at Seol's question. Seol looked confused as Kojiro explained "I'm pretty sure last time I checked people die when they get killed so no it's not everyone." The maid trembled as her hands covered her mouth. Seol soon shut his mouth as Hans continued.

"From the beginning when 38 lives started this journey…."

Kojiro soon glanced at the trembling maid before giving a thumbs up as she secretively gave him the middle finger while keeping in even more laughter in.

Hans snapped for a bit.

"Will you please keep it down over there?"

The Guide issued a stern warning as soon as things became a bit noisy.

"First of all, let us commence with evaluating your level of cognition."

As soon as those words were spoken out, a message popped up in front of everyone's vision.

[5. Level of Cognition]

Actions/Emotions/Disposition

"This is how it should look to you. From the left, Actions, Emotions, and Disposition. Well then, let's start by assessing your Actions."

Suddenly, the left-most column began spinning up and down, just like how it was with a slot machine. Countless words flashed by.

"The first section reflects how you appear to others through your actions and speeches."

As Han's explanation continued, the speed of the dizzying spin gradually slowed down. 'Righteous', 'Fussy', 'Temperamental', 'Disgusting'… all sorts of descriptors flashed by Kojiro's eyes, the column went back and forth between 'Moderate', 'Neutral', and 'honourable' before finally stopping on the word "Honourable".

"What?"

Shin Sang-Ah responded to her evaluation as if it was the most absurd thing in the whole world.

"This can't be right! Is this really correct?!"

"I assure you, things will only get tougher for you if you are getting shocked already."

Han chuckled to himself and clapped his hands. Then, the middle column began spinning this time.

"The middle column, 'Emotions', reflects your thought process or what you feel from facing certain events or phenomena. Out of the three, you could say it has the most variability."

For Kojiro, the middle column came to a stop with the word 'Calm'. Kojiro nodded his head in agreement.

"And finally…. The last column, 'Disposition'. This one has been raising a lot of controversy for a long time now."

"The 'Disposition' column indicates your inclination according to your overall personality. There have been numerous cases where this part simply repeats what's been shown on [Temperament] of your Status."

This time there was no time taken as it flashed in front of Kojiro's very eyes.
