Congratulations!

After a week later of applying for College Bridge, Nile and I decided to have Lunch together. We headed down the street from Campus and decided to have Mexican Deli - a taco joint basically.

Nile: So Ori, did you ever hear anything back yet about College Bridge?

Me: No, not yet. How about you??

N: Moni, the director called me yesterday and basically just said I got the job. No interview or anything.. Lol. It was different, but you know, YAY! I got the job.

Me: That's great news! Congratulations! That's kind of nice though that she didn't do an interviews... Honestly.. those are the worst. Haha.. I feel like I always freak out during an interview because it's not really you.. or your potential you know. It's basically just answering questions...

N: Yeah, I get what you mean Lol. It's annoying, but yeah be ready for a phone call.

Just seconds later, my phone buzzed. I looked at my phone. The number did not look familiar...

Me: 555-8997?

N: Oh, that's Moni! ANSWER IT!!!!! *He was so exicted! lol

Me: okay okay, shhh!

I answered.

"Hello?" I said.

Moni: Hello, is this Oriana?

Me: Yes, this is she.

Moni: Hi Oriana, this is Moni, director of College Bridge. I received your application for the position. I just want to say, your application was very detailed and I have reached out to your references.

Me: That's great to hear. Did you need anything else for the time being?

Moni: No, it looks very good. I'm actually reaching out and calling you to offer you the position for College Bridge! I know you were probably expecting an interview and so on, but because your application and references were secure, I don't need to go through the process. So, Congratulations and welcome to the Team!

**Nile gave me a look - as in... "DID YOU GET THE JOB??"**

I smiled at him and nodded! He "celebrated" quietly for the moment!

Me: Thank you, thank you very much for this opportunity and the call!

Moni: Yes, you're welcome. The training will start after the final exams, but we'd be in contact. Is this number the best way to get a hold of you?

Me: Yes. This would be perfect!

Moni: Sounds great! Thank you again! We are so excited to have you!

Me: Thank you. I'm very excited as well!

Moni: Perfect! We'll connect soon! Have a great day! Bye bye now.

Me: Thanks, you too. Bye!

I hung up the phone!

Nile smiled at me! CONGRATS!! I knew you'd get it!!!!

Me: Thanks Nile! Couldn't have done it without you!

Nile: To celebrate, I just ordered us some fancy margaritas - no worries, they're virgins..... lolololol aka, no alcohols

Me: Awww, thank you!!

Nile: For sure! Don't forget to call Jackson!

Me: Definitely! I'll call him now :)

I dialed Jackson's number.
